I haven't had my nose in the service manual for a long time, but I am pretty sure the hydraulic pump is a direct connection. I think (which is becoming harder with age) that the smaller tank runs the bucket stuff and the big under-carriage tank runs the four wheels. Fun little machine... front and back wheels are so close they almost touch each other, so I have tipped it on its nose several times and did a few wheelies (accidentally) that dumped snow on my head through the roof grate. Here's a self-portrait:Yep if the pump is direct connected to the engine it sure would.
