Well, it is still, technically, summer, so it's about time we had a decent day.
Finally got someone over here to look at my roof for repair. He said they could do it, but they are all booked up until mid-December. He gave me the name of another guy who might be able to fix it. He said he doesn't do that work any more, so he will have a friend of his call me and maybe (maybe) he can do it. This is one of the big problems of living in the boonies. There are no full-time professionals and the part-timers might never fit you in. The nearest full-time professionals are 100 miles away and they don't want to come out here.

Not entirely sure. I could probably stop the leaks with a couple gallons of roof goop, but ceiling stuff inside also needs to be replaced and maybe a few 2x4s... I cannot physically do this stuff anymore...

Yeah, I saw it a lot in Tucson and when I worked at Grand Canyon too. You see it here a lot during a hot dry summer.And it happens frequently in desert environments................
It was a kinda laid back day. I did stuff a bottle full of turmeric capsules, but not much else besides routine feed-and-water-critters chores.
Can't you get tumeric root in your part of the country?
It's cheap as hell here, all the stores have it....I buy it by the pound, and usually go through a pound every other week.
The fresh shit can be eaten like a carrot, it's delicious....I eat the roots with a salt shaker if they're not going in smoothies.
I really don't know, but I prefer the powder because I can stuff it in 500mg capsules and regulate exactly how much I take every day as a supplement.

I wouldn't know. In capsules, there is no taste at all.
I do, but that's pretty rare because I never remember to buy any. Then if I don't remember to slice 'em and eat 'em. they go bad in the fridge. I am not very good about remembering food stuffs because, for the most part, I probably wouldn't eat at all if Lannie didn't put something in front of me twice a day. Many years ago, I was a real eater, but today I just don't seem to care about food.
I turned the opposite way, now I'm obsessed with healthy eating....and truly enjoy it

It's not that I eat junk like a wild man; more that without Lannie, I probably wouldn't eat anything. I'd sit at the table sucking coffee, vaping, petting the kittens piled on my lap, and ignoring the rest of the world. Then one day some stranger in a white dress would stick an IV in my arm and I'd look up and ask what that's for.

September 5, 2019 -- Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited (“Takeda”) today announced that the company is issuing a US recall for all doses of Natpara® (parathyroid hormone) for Injection (25 mcg, 50 mcg, 75 mcg, and 100 mcg). This recall is being conducted after discussions with the FDA and is effective immediately due to a potential issue related to rubber particulates originating from the rubber septum of the Natpara cartridge.

Another sunny one with a high of 89 (both outside and in the house). I went to Faith today to talk to the guy about my Bobcat. It was finally in the shop and the old engine had been removed (boy, did that piece of shit look nasty), but the boss man was not there and the one guy who was did not have a clue what was going on with my baby. Anyway, after more than two months, they are finally doing something. Sigh...
Hopefully you'll have it in another month.
