To the best of my knowledge, this outfit is in Kansas. The product, while having the same name as what you can buy over-the-counter is actually an institutional product (sold to hospitals and nursing homes).

Yeah... lightly off and on all day, but most of the clouds are in hiding at the moment. High of only 73 again today. but right at the moment it is already 20 degrees lower than that.
Looks like tomorrow may not be much better.

They were calling for rain today and I was PRAYING for it....No Dice

Just thought about the trucks after thinking about fishing, those damn trucks cost to much to fuck um up, I'll take care of that tomorrow
True, but you know that changing the oil every 3000 miles is not cast in stone. I have been known to double that and the truck is still OK. ;)

If you had the bobcat back you could probably do something rain or shine
The only thing the bobcat would be used for until it snows is to move massive amounts of cow shit. It is not equipped with mowers or augers or back hoes or anything but its little bucket.

I will move all that in one day. But Bob can't pick up the shit inside the cow or horse barns; that has to be done by forks or shovel and wheelbarrow and us old folks aren't doing too well in that department. And I still have a zillion weeds to cut and mow and the rain puts a halt to that.

With the exception of occasional thunderstorms, you Arizonians are used to a fairly static air mass, which makes changes in temperature or cloud cover happen very slowly. Up here on the Prairie, we have nearly constant and radical change.

Oh it's radical alright....actually it's unbelievable
After 15 years of scratching my head, wondering how this all happens, one gets used to it, but...
Especially that fucking relentless wind....!
...that's the part I still hate. I'd love to have a bunch more calm days. But there is nothing out here to block the air from moving quickly across all this open ground. I grew up close to mountains and they block these air masses pretty effectively. Nothing to block it here.

Today's weather report: Dark overcast all day with steady rain, heavy at times, embedded thunderstorms in evening. High temp only 60, wind 10-15 most of the day, but evening gusts up to 30-35 mph. Both morning and evening chores required wearing muck boots and winter coats.

Now the crying story:

After morning chores, we stopped in the garage to fill the feral cats' food dish. There are were two adorable little six-month old kittens living out there, but have become sufficiently domesticated to allow us to pick them up and snuggle them. They are were brother and sister litter mates, Sam and Gidget. Sam showed up, but Gidget didn't. Lannie found her lying on a cushion where the two of them sleep. She was in a coma and breathing very badly. There was no visible evidence of injury and last night she was full of energy and playful, purring when we picked her up. I brought her in the house and held her for another hour, hoping maybe she would regain consciousness, but she never did. She stopped breathing and I took her out to the garden in the pouring rain and buried her. One more of our babies has left this world and we will never know why.

We since moved Sam into the house because he would no longer have someone his age/size to be with outside. Sam is now an official house cat.

I know that keeping your nose to the grindstone is a sign of good business practices and is more likely to generate continuing income, etc., etc., but when are you going to go see your girlfriend again? I know I am coming off like a nagging mother, but how long will Eli continue to be yours if you never see her?

She's taking care of her mother and father.....which is keeping her really busy....her father just returned from the hospital last Monday after having his prostate removed, her mother is having a knee replacement next week, and their both 89 years old, but look like their 65-70?....really incredible. So I'm not going there for that shit, and she can't come here, so all is fine.....:teehee:
