What was back in the mid-80s? That the weenie was hollow? ;)
I think even the meteorologists are left wing activists
The way forecasts read these days, I wouldn't doubt that at all. But when did the computerized equipment get stupid enough to not see snow clouds?

I assume they just don't give a shit any longer, as long as global warming is the gig (and a money maker), you won't hear much about the bizarre early winter storms.

Those low temps have be close to records.....no?
I don't know. Don't keep up with that stuff much any more. I suppose I could look it up. I'd bet that at some time in the past, it has been worse, but probably not since I have lived here. Well, that blizzard six years ago was worse. But that just came and went and was a major fluke.

Yeah your correct, what the sun is doing now has occurred for millions of years, so I'm sure it happened in the past, just like warmer temps happened in the past.

Yeah, and I just wish the bozos would quit claiming all this is caused by man. Seems that can't even look far enough back (only a couple hundred years) to a time when we did not have industries that put smoke or carbon or whatever into the air. We were not the cause then and we are not the cause now, but the dummy squad seems to think that if it hasn't happened within their short lives, it has never happened at all.

I wasn't overly inspired today either, partly because of the snow and wind chill, partly because I was babysitting kittens. I did stuff a bottle of kratom capsules for Lannie and stuff of that nature.

It's just astonishing how fucking stupid most of people really are.
When you and I were in school, we actually were trained to think (rationalize, use logic, etc). Today, children are deliberately brainwashed to be stupid and not think - just follow what their leftist leaders want of them.

Therein lies the pathetic problem

October 26, 2019 -- Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. is conducting a voluntary nationwide recall of one lot of Alprazolam Tablets, USP C-IV 0.5 mg, to the consumer/user level. What is alprazolam?
Alprazolam is a benzodiazepine (ben-zoe-dye-AZE-eh-peen). It affects chemicals in the brain that may be unbalanced in people with anxiety.

Alprazolam is used to treat anxiety disorders, panic disorders, and anxiety caused by depression.

Alprazolam may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide, like popping a couple with a few Heinekens.

Getting nuttier by the day, or I've missed a lot in the past, which I don't regret

For as many years as I have walked this Earth, I have been under the impression that taking ANY pill (even simple aspirin) with any alcoholic beverage is a really dumb idea.

we have global cooling heading this way too
Yea team! We had a [relative] heat wave today; it got all the way up to 39 ºF (with 20 mph wind, it felt like 29 ºF), but right at the moment, we have at least half an inch of new snow on the ground and it is 17 ºF (very little wind).

Hey, got a question about that Mystic Island stuff you just got. I see that it is slightly cheaper than Beaufort Kratom, but is it as good? I also note that they have a few questionable reviews.

I saw three pages of stuff all with strange names that really didn't tell me much. In your opinion, which place would you rather shop?
Maybe it's just me, but I like the last batch I received from Mystic....but it all depends on what each vendor receives, some are just better than the other each month I assume.

The morning started off with 12 ºF and a wind around 25 mph (chill factor -8 ºF). We found my favorite feral kitten in the garage, frozen to death. She was such a sweet loving baby who always ran to me and meowed until I picked her up and snuggled her. The high today was only 25 ºF and the wind went up and down (15-30) all day. The forecast low for tonight is 7 ºF. If 12 degrees could kill Yakky, what will 7 do to her brothers?

Wasn't much in the way of Autumn either. No transition from green to gold, orange, brown, and fall off. Kinda went green to black and blown into the next state all in a day or two.
