He is not used to subohm vaping.
He is used to innokin iclear16 clearomizers with 1.5 ohm factory coils.
My coils are anywhere from 2.5 down to 0.33-Ohms and I still tootle puff those. Wifey (Lannie) is a DL sub-Ohmer, but I hate the DL approach. I'm not really even MTL. I use my vape gear the same way I smoked: into the mouth without going into the lungs (or only a super tiny percentage), draw back through the nose (where the nic was absorbed), then back out the mouth. I get maximum satisfaction that way. Back as a teenager, doing that with a ciggybutt was called French Inhaling (though I seriously doubt the French would take credit for that -- they also call our french fries American Fries). :)

All mine are .30 ohms right now. I deep inhale the vapor. My mother tells me I vape like I'm smoking a joint. Yes, she remembers when I did that.

It hasn't been long since I got my first sub-ohm tank. I ordered a Zephyrus V1 on clearance cause I'm cheap and didn't know if I'd take to the sub-ohm thing. The coils were cheap too. It's ok, but I don't love it. Have a Herakles RTA that's never been used but I have ordered pre-built coils to use in it, in case something happens and we can't buy Nautilus coils any more.

I've built exactly two coils in my life. They both worked but they both were a terrible vaping experience. Vapor hot as hell.

Been using .80 in the tiny attys lately, at 25 watts.....was using the Modfather rta at 150 watts....huge difference.

Although the MF has really good flavor.....you can go through 30 ml a day.....now I'm back to about 5 ml.

That's not too bad, I suck up 2 - 3 ml a day.

LOL. I remember when I did that. Pretty common knowledge that all my kids have done that, too, so when my son first tried to take a hit off his friend's massive mod running at about 110W, I told him, son, hit it like you're smoking a joint. His friend looked at me like I had three heads, and my son just cracked up.

My coils come out at.28 ohm and I only 25 -28 watts

The Zephyrus I have uses .3 ohm ceramic coils and I don't need to take it above about 30W. I think the ceramic and the way the airflow is spiraled inside the chimney cools the vapor off a lot. It does produce good flavor, but it also occasionally spits at me.

I ordered a Chai Tea juice from Madvapes once, but the spices in it were so strong, I couldn't vape it. I wanted to because it smelled so good. Would you share your recipe?

Jane...I just made a tiny test batch yesterday....I just put a few drops of Chai and two drops of lavender, and a couple drops of super sweet....I'll post a real recipe tomorrow, I love the flavor so much I'm making 120 ml. I'll actually use percentages tomorrow....:)

This recipe is really smooth...!

Don't even remember how I came across Madvapes, but they are the first place I ordered vaping stuff from. They used to have those "disposable" 510 kits, came with two little batteries and about a half-dozen cartridges for about $10. At the time I think they had one B&M store down in Mooresville, NC, which is right outside Charlotte. Ordered almost exclusively from them for years, but now I almost never do.

I'm right behind you Rich....heading to Globe-Miami Arizona in the morning to do some thermal imaging on a rock truck bearing for Caterpillar, at the copper mine.

I used to order from Madvapes in the past, when using disposable coils...they seemed to have good prices.

Maybe I have been away from tech work too long, or maybe I am just bored by doing nothing but chasing cows and mending fences (OK, OK, and shoving snow around), but your project for today sounds like something I'd really like to get my nose into. Course, if I actually stuck my nose into a truck bearing, it likely would come out a lot smaller...

Speaking of snow, I checked the forecast before bed last night and it was supposed to be partly cloudy and 39 degrees today - no precipitation. They changed that this morning because it had been snowing here all night and when we went out for morning chores, there was about 2" of fresh stuff and 24 degrees (it still hasn't gone up even one degree in the last four hours) and one look at the weather map shows a frontal system over us, with snow all across SD, ND, and eastern MT. Unless they were sleeping for the past couple days, they could not possibly have missed a front system of this magnitude, yet they did. Morons...

(Global warming, my ass! I suspect we are really heading into a new Ice Age.)

Same here. busy day.
Church Chauffeur service for the wife unit including a baby shower for the preachers wife...
Then had to replace a frost free hydrant that was leaking.
Cleaned out clothes dryer vent and found nicely dehydrated pretty little yellow bird in there....

Loaded dishwasher and cleaned stove.
Thought about laundry but that can wait till tomorrow.

G'evening Pharts, I'm hitting the interwebs a bit early tonight for a change.

Got an early start for work at 8:00 this morning but it was only a 4 hour shift so I've had a lot of time to get into trouble since. Spent a few more hours cleaning up my vape gear which was sorely needed. Cleaned a bunch of atties and a couple of mods and put them in storage. I think a couple of the tanks had juice sitting in them for a year . Well steeped for sure! Down to 5 tanks, a dripper and 5 mods out and about now. My Nemesis threads were in really bad shape and thanked me for the cleanup by treating me very nicely since :)

The forecast 1-3 inches of snow is very much sub 1 inch here. Just on grass, autos and such. And on the wifes wheelchair ramp too.
Still spitting a bit of snow for the next 2 hours or so.

Supposed to be down around 20 degrees here tomorrow morning though....

We can't really complain up here. This winter has been very mild with only a few snowstorms. I just like to bitch a bit once in a while and the weather doesn't bitch back :blah:
