This is a stupid question. Have you tried eating more gelatinous foods? Helps with joints immensly. Does wonders for my arthritis.Sounds like the knee may be getting a lil better....we can only hope...!

My husband says the same thing, and I remind him that at least they don't pay him to think.I agree. i work for a living. Sometimes a little too much. Thing is, nothing's free so it is what it is![]()
Lol it's worse for me. They actually do pay me to think. To an extent anyway. My husband says the same thing, and I remind him that at least they don't pay him to think.
I put sea moss in smoothies....it's tasteless, but works wonders being a gelatinous food...LOADED with goodiesThis is a stupid question. Have you tried eating more gelatinous foods? Helps with joints immensly. Does wonders for my arthritis.

Good night Robert see you tomorrow my friendWell gotta hit the sack.
Had some excitement last night.
Neighbor saw a car go onto my other property (dead end road) about 2AM. checked and car there running and no one around. He called the cops for me. Cops showed up and found where M*th head thieves had dragged some stuff out of a shed to steal. found a gun and m*th in the car (still running)
Called me and I had the cops tow the car to impound. Have to go down in the morning to file criminal trespass charges.
Might not work since they never actually found anyone on site. But the car can be held for a while because of the trespass and m*th.
That's why I am all cripped up Dale kids now-a-days are worthless I used a full roll of duck tape over my brace and made in like a cast, took a hand full of pain meds and the wifey and I did it.Jimi...did you find anyone to till the garden?
Oh...jesus...I thought you said you tried, but the pain was to much.....well at least you got it done. That's why I am all cripped up Dale kids now-a-days are worthless I used a full roll of duck tape over my brace and made in like a cast, took a hand full of pain meds and the wifey and I did it.
What kind of tiller are you using, Jimi? I can control mine with one hand, so even though it is a "walk behind," I can stand to the side and hold the handle while those rear tines dig in and it has very little impact on my tired old knees or my lower back. It hurts far more to bend over and pull weeds. That's why I am all cripped up Dale kids now-a-days are worthless I used a full roll of duck tape over my brace and made in like a cast, took a hand full of pain meds and the wifey and I did it.
G'Night Dale see ya tomorrow my friend. I'm right behind youI'm outta here too...have a great week all....hope the weather is in the farmers favor.....![]()

Dale, did your grandma ever make mustard pickles? Mine made them, and I LOVED them, in fact, it was the only way she was able to get vegetables in me! LOL! She'd crack open a pint of those and I'd eat the whole thing. She used chunks of green pepper, pearl onions, pieces of cauliflower (YUK!), broccoli, green beans, and whatever else she might have around. A friend of mine sent me her old original copy of Ball's Blue Book (canning book, if you know what it is), and the recipe is in there. I am SO making some of those this summer! If I get something out of the garden, that is.

Prolly runs-works like it's new......Ahh my tiller is a 71 Troy Built.

make sure Rich stays out of trouble (while tilling the garden)....![]()
Pretty much. Been repainted a couple of times and could use another paint job.Prolly runs-works like it's new......![]()
Nothing runs like a Troy Built.....not even a Deere....Pretty much. Been repainted a couple of times and could use another paint job.
Fresh paint always makes em run better![]()
Well the old Troy Builts anyway.Nothing runs like a Troy Built.....not even a Deere....![]()
MTD is garbage now, pity too. I assume made in Mexico, China, or another asian country.Well the old Troy Builts anyway.
They sold out to MTD about 20 years ago and are not so great now.
Mine is a Troy Bilt too, but I think it was a 2004-05... one of the last ones made that actually works beyond the warranty. (At least I hope it still does)Ahh my tiller is a 71 Troy Built.
I bought a Troy Bilt riding mower and it had to have an engine rebuild (futched piston rings) right after the warranty expired, and that was only last year.Nothing runs like a Troy Built.....not even a Deere....![]()
Hi Lannie, thank you for posting about your grandma's mustard pickles, I am going to have to check them out. I am on a very restrictive diet because of my cancer and am always looking for something good to break up my usual things I do get to eat, I have a Ball Blue Book and will be checking those out, they sound so good.Dale, did your grandma ever make mustard pickles? I feel your pain, I cleaned house, and it was an exhausting afternoon for me, too.Of course, there was dew this morning, so the dogs tracked big fat muddy footprints across the clean carpet after they came in from pottying.
Sometimes I wonder why I even bother trying to keep this place clean... Two dogs, five cats, and a house chicken. It's a losing battle.
Those old troy built tillers are made to last forever if you take care of them and I am sure you do RobertAhh my tiller is a 71 Troy Built.
Isn't it neat having access to the old information that is no longer published? Many of those old recipes don't go together as quickly as modern TV dinners, so the younger generation won't even bother to try.I have a Ball Blue Book
Thanks Robert I had to bookmark that one. Most consumer lawn mowers/tillers sold in the USA are either made by MTD, Briggs and Stratton or Electrolux (AYP/Husquvarna).
About 40 different makers of Zero Turn mowers out there though.
for anyone interested in who makes what lawn mower this is a decent article. Very informative.

Exactly, Rich.....pity, but very true.Isn't it neat having access to the old information that is no longer published? Many of those old recipes don't go together as quickly as modern TV dinners, so the younger generation won't even bother to try.

How is Jimi today....better I hope.....Thanks Robert I had to bookmark that one.
It sure is Rich I treasure that book and all the old time stuff. The younger generation doesn't know what their lazy asses are missing.Isn't it neat having access to the old information that is no longer published? Not really doing to good today Dale so going to make it a short night tonight. How is Jimi today....better I hope.....![]()
HiYa Sandi good to see you my friendI love pickles!
Sorry to hear that. The knee is really bothering you I take it?Not really doing to good today Dale so going to make it a short night tonight.
Congrats, Rich, Lannie......Before Dale even asks, no, we did not have snow today -- but close.See the official NWS forecast said "occasional light rain showers," so I went out and pulled weeds in the garden while Lannie planted seeds in the house, which will be transferred after they sprout. The wind was about 30 mph, but the trees/hedges around the garden kept that fairly in check. It was about 60 degrees and misting lightly. About 2 1/2 hours later, I had it all done, and with back screaming in protest, went back in the house for a vape break and to feed the dogs and the heavens opened up. HEAVY CONTINUOUS STEADY RAIN (i.e., NOT showers). OK, so no tilling today. Then the temperature dropped to the 40s, so we had to bundle up like winter to go out for evening chores (and to check on the feral kitty - only one year old - who just had 3 babies in the cow barn - we took her food and water so she wouldn't have to leave her babies). Anyway, back to the weather... I hope the temperature does not fall any more tonight or this rain could turn into something white... ON MAY FIRST???
Speaking of May 1st, here's a picture of Lannie and me 20 years ago, on May 1, 1998 when we took our vows in that little canyon in central Orygun (which we named "The Wedding Canyon" - we walked from this end about a mile up to the other end to meet with the lady who performed the ceremony).
