Please explain this snow thing for us South Texans.
Last time I was in San Antonio, it snowed. That was January 1968 and the snow came with a tornado.
Anyway, Don, I live in the Frozen Northlands of the Great Plains and we get white shit falling from the sky all winter. The wet stuff waits until Spring, Summer, Fall.

Would that be Montana or up that way? Sorry not as familiar with the northern part of the country, but would love to go....but in like July.

Western South Dakota, about 90 miles from the eastern-most Montana line. If you want to visit Mt. Rushmore, come in June, when it is warm but not over 100 and rife with severe thunderstorms like July/August. But if you are a biker, August is the month for the world's biggest motorcycle rally in Sturgis (about 75 miles from my place).

I also have lived in Oregon, Texas, Illinois, England, Italy, Arizona, Montana and have driven through 30 of our states, so you will often hear me BS about them as if it was only yesterday... the older you get, the fresher the old memories and yesterday mysteriously disappears.

I live in the snow capital of the United States - 300 inches average per year

It isn't living up to its name this winter, only 77 inches so far

Yeah...There was a couple (met them through scouts) with whom our family was very close. They lived behind us. Every weekend our families hung out together. We went on trips together and one day the husband (who was a former cop injured on duty) decided to tell his wife of 20 years that he was trans. He really though she would just accept it and continue to live that way. She kicked him to the curb and he then cut all ties to his past including his two boys who were teens. It's just messed up. Screwed the older boy up bad.

I'm glad I'm OLD, not sure how much more I can take.

No, sir. I'm just north of Houston. I do like tamales...a lot. I did drive through El Paso once.

I live in Austin for 8 years during the 80s, grew to love it

My wife is from Austin. All but one of my cousins live there now. It's a love/hate thing with Austin for me.

Sounds like you lived a few places.

Austin was the first time I had ever lived in the same town for more than two years in my entire life, lol

I've lived here 21 years, and had planned to retire here

So, did you make it to Wally World and get new crocs and socks?

Yep made it to Wally world on the way back from the big city and SIL's head Shrinker appt.

She needed to get stuff at wally world but wanted to make another trip today to do it.
I pretty much said HELL NO, WE do it now.

Anything to make more trips to town.
She tried to forget her prescriptions as well so another trip.
And did not shut up the entire trip. I said about 20 words the entire trip.

Calgon take me away!

No Crocs though. Motorcycles everywhere yesterday. Got to 65...

I see that shit up here a lot, dummies move out to the middle of nowhere and then bitch there is "nothing to do" and cry about no amenities and too far away
Same here try to bring their city attitudes to the country.
Start bitchin because your place is not kept up to their standards, etc.
And rural city humans are the same when they move to the country, Not just big city ones.

I suppose it is a problem with humans everywhere. They expect everyone to conform to THEM.
The 'Ugly American' abroad for instance.
Missionaries, etc...

There are a large percentage of humans who believe the entire country should be one big city and it should follow THEIR rules. Try that out here and everyone around will quickly ensure they are pushing up daisies tumbleweeds.

Peachy here. Had a good night. Cooked a good dinner, baked cookies with my daughter, watched so trash TV (cops) and pulled out some of my older mods to vape on. Forgot how nice the Therion was.
