Got to 70 here today. and sunny, just a beautiful day.
Supposed to get down to 10 next Monday and Tuesday...

Worked on blazer all afternoon.
Finally found problem that has been plaguing me.
small wire from MAP sensor burned up for about 1 inch in wiring harness,
No other wires damaged, nothing in there to damage the wire. Have no idea why it happened...
Soldered in new wire section and rewrapped harness. Seems to run much better. Did not drive it except to move it though.
Back too sore after hanging over the engine all afternoon.
Want to kick programmers ass. It gave trouble codes for most every other sensor on engine except for MAP sensor.
Map sensor tested good on signals at sensor the signal was just not getting back to computer....

A funny thing happened on the way to the forum... (I bet I could make a stupid movie with that title)

Today was monthly shopping day, so I shoved the truck into 4WD to get out of my driveway. The highway only had small patches of snow, so I kicked it back to 2WD. Now we have about 2 feet of snow on average here at home, but by the time I was 15 miles west of us, the fields looked very much like they only had about 6" on them, and within another 20 miles, I would say nothing was more than 3". By the time I got to Belle Fourche, Spearfish, and Sturgis, it was obvious they had less than that, maybe 1-3" on the ground. Bear in mind, these three cities are all in the northern foothills of the Black Hills. And when I got to Rapid City, other than piles of snow scraped up in parking lots, I saw no snow. WTF? They are on the eastern edge of the Black Hills and all four of those towns should have had greater accumulation than us, but it appears, at least at the moment, we have more snow than any of them. Sigh...

You should be backstage when it's being performed in a theater. Lots of scantily clad ppl.

You won the snow lottery?

I have been. Not for that particular play, but I used to do part-time work (35 years ago) for the local play fanatics, mostly artwork for props, and a lot of women just took their clothes off to change costumes right in front of me with little to no thought about the play that was going on in my head.

Yep that's the way it used to be. Now we have to build changing booths in the wings because too many stagehands have no clue how to be professional.

Well, at least you made it back alive, Rich......:vino:
That was another odd thing about today and the snow (or lack of it). Several of the towns I drive through either don't own a snow plow or they don't know how to use it because, usually, you'll be driving along a clean road and the minute you cross the city limits line, there is packed snow all over town. Today, except for within a couple miles of my house, the highways and streets were perfectly clean, which tells me they had NO SNOW in the past few weeks while we were being dumped on big time. I know their temperatures didn't get high enough to melt it all, so the obvious implication is that they damn well didn't get any.

That's really odd, not being that far apart.

Even way back then I did my best to not stare or even be obvious that I was moved by it. Today, if that was still going on, I'm not sure I'd even notice. I tend to not even look at that which I know I cannot touch, so even strippers and sleazy movies aren't worth watching.

I've just thought as another part of the show. Another set move if you will. I enjoy the visual of an attractive lady as much as the next guy, but there's a time a place and while the show is running is not the place. I'm a professional stagehand. I'm there to do my job and get my pay check. There's other outlets for the other.

Was a beautiful day here.....I spent 95% sitting at a desk INSIDE......

Gotta enclose the back patio with screen, for a new office location.... Only be able to use it about four months of the year...the other eight would be to damn HOT or to damn COLD....but anything is better than staring out the window wishin.

Hi Gang,
Hard night last night. Woke up about every hour with leg cramps (happens a lot from driving and shopping/trudging around big stores too much) and had to rub cream on them and, in some cases, get out of bed and walk around until the cramps stopped. BUT, the long drives were not over. I had to go back to Sturgis today (add 150 miles to yesterday's 250 miles) to get my driver's license renewed. I stopped in at DMV yesterday, only to discover that they are only open one day a week and that day is Thursday. A town of 7,000+ and DMV is only open one day a week? Well, my license expired last Saturday (they always croak on your birthday in this state), so I figured I better re-up this damn thing ASAP. But there is good news. They took the vision restriction off (MUST have three mirrors), even though I MUST wear glasses due to being legally blind in my right eye. Why did they remove that restriction? Because, with glasses on, I passed the vision test. Now, don't tell them, but I really could not read their damn chart, but ever since I got this problem, I have been using a tactic called "logical reconstruction." That is, even if what you are looking at is too fuzzy to actually tell what it is, you can often tell what it is not, then go through your mental list of possibilities and guess what it is most likely to be. So, while I could not really read the letters, I managed to guess well enough to pass their test. But then, why should they care? All they really need to know is that I can "guess" that red octagonal sign says "STOP" and comply.

Camber Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Issues Voluntary Nationwide Recall of Losartan Potassium Tablets, USP, 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg Due to the Detection of Trace Amounts of NMBA Impurity found in the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient

Camber Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is recalling 87 lots of Losartan Tablets USP 25 mg, 50 mg, and 100 mg to consumer level. This recall was prompted due to the detection of trace amounts of N-Nitroso N-Methyl 4-amino butyric acid (NMBA) a possible process impurity or contaminant in an active pharmaceutical ingredient, manufactured by Hetero Labs Limited, Unit – I (API manufacturer).
