Yea I expect delays from China but when the usps plays volleyball with stuff as long as it took to get here from China, it gets old fast.
Mine moved from there to jfk airport last week and is still moving through the post network.

From lax to jfk. Then to a place in jersey that my other China orders have landed first. Do they need to send it to every customs facility? But check the dates between movement. Literally almost a month to move through the US. Pony express was faster except for dying horses and bullets.

I have no idea and my best google-fu turned up nothing except the existence of the notification.
It has certainly gotten worse in recent months, but this is not because of the corona virus. I had serious problems long before that started.
To be fully fair, they ARE dealing with some very serious business issues that aren't any one person or department's fault ,but this can't possibly be the best they can do.
I thought maybe it was because it had some souvenirs it wanted to send home to Hong Kong, but it knew it would be quicker if it just took them itself before it headed back to the U.S.

Did I read somewhere last night that there is another stimulus bill in the works? And this one has some money in it for the Postal Service? Anybody know about this?
I haven't heard anything about them being impacted in a big way with staffing, but in some areas, like all the larger cities where there are a lot of virus cases, they are bound to be short a bunch of people. If they were hanging by a thread to begin with, that could explain some of what appears to be a relatively serious slowdown of the movement of mail within the country.
Some of those bizarre transactions like the ones that show things moving from Hong Kong to the States and back to Hong Kong on the same day are bound to be mis-scans. Any system that uses barcode scanners can malfunction/misread occasionally. In my mind there's no other explanation for it.

My deck inserts and mtl chimney for the Brig'd rba i ordered from GasCity in Canada went from Calgary to Vancouver last night. Almost 700 miles in the literal exact opposite direction from Detroit. It's now 2500 miles away on the British Columbia coast at the opposite end of the continent.
What is it with these shipping companies?

its the government posts. they are operated by people that think "we' are here for "them", and not how it really is = they are there for "us". i don't much use Fedex or UPS, but they seems to be ran well.

The thing is, the USPS is not actually a government agency anymore. At least they're not in the budget. Also, Canada Post isn't any better. This isn't just because of my package being sent hundreds of miles in the opposite direction from where I live. Canadians complain about their mail service almost as bad as we complain about ours.
Honestly, I think postal service in general consists of sucky jobs that people hate and there is just no pride in accomplishment and not enough financial motivation to be conscientious about doing it. Think the fast food server who hates their job, can't wait to get outta there and doesn't really care if they got your burger right or not.

i knew that was going to come up. they are in fact a government agency = who owns them ? they are just "supposed" to be self sustaining. with all of the pensions they are now paying, there isn't enough money to go around for those actually producing. so, those producers are cutting back. and sabotage = sending mail on a 1000mile trek when it started out 30 miles from you. and they are cutting back/sabotage to piss off as many AMERICANS as possible, in order to justify funding and/or LARGE rate increases.
no one is forcing them to work a sucky job. if they don't like it, then move on. this world would be dead in the water, if not for people working sucky jobs.

Fasttech gave me the correct DHL tracking # late last night. DHL doesn't show an estimated delivery date but whoever's package I tracked to Cali was delivered 2 days after clearing customs so I'm hopeful. This is NOT a small order. 2 mods, 2 aromamizer v2's, bubble glass, and like 7 atties. Only 1 is a clone.

If it is passed the delivery date open a case. Before the Pandemic my experience was if you open a case it magically appears at your door in a day or less~!
I've done that before and yes, it seems to work. Especially if it's at a PO. This is being shipped from the west coast to the east coast so I'll give 'em a few more business days before I harass them. It's entirely possible it's on a truck instead of a plane. Probably parked outside a coffee shop right now.
