the clamp works fine, probably the best thing about the damn thing lol if you want one, I'll sell you mine, I have the box, goodie bag, screw driver, and 4 coiling jigs, whatever else it came with. hmu I'll cut you a deal. I saw reviews praising the flavor, and as I said, I've seen flashes of brilliant flavor, but it doesn't suit my style of vaping or something I guess lol

on a side note, just made my first groove fused staggerton (I guess?? lol) couldn't find my glasses and jacked the 40g all up, but I like the vape quite a lot. 28g frames, 6*.3 claptoned with 36g fused with 40g all N80

oh, I meant to ask last post, anyone have any experience with the GR1 from gas mods or whatever they're called?? just purchased one should be arriving tomorrow or sat. looks like it should do fine on top my pulse. the Mrs. has been nagging me for my Wasp, saw an opportunity to acquire yet another rda

very quickly rattled off a set of framed staples for a buddy today, and even got a decent pic in the process. 6 x .3mm/28/40, came to about .14 for his regulated box/kylin setup. did this one really fast (for me) about 10 mins to finished wire (about twenty total installed/photos).

Actually that's my most recent build, I haven't even colored her yet. I doubt I'll vape it because I only use mechs now and it has kanthal in it, I mainly made that because it was a fail of something else I was doing lmao

lol nice recovery then. looks like it could be a good vape. at least a bit different than a typical alien or whatever. i like to do multistrand framed aliens every now and again for a different vape, i can see myself trying something like this. at the very least, using ribbon frames could be handy to alien wrap something lumpy/twisty/crazy.

Ya, it's 3x 28G N80 and the twisted/zipper strands each have 2x 32G SS and 1x 32G ka1 , alien was 22G decore 38G kanthal

Thanks man, always nice to hear!! It was a 24g decore. I also try to alien in 10-12g increments... so if my decore is 24g I’ll alien with 34g, 26g decore I’ll alien with 36g. I found this the best way to make the aliens wave stick out the most. The smaller you go the harder it gets to see the alien wrap so I tend to stick with this formula.... especially for when I sell them, it just makes them pop more. People seem to like them better this way

For sure people tend to like what is easily visible. I think lower gauge wire and higher gauge wire both have their own unique flavor attributes. I tend to alien wrap with 36g or 38g most of the time. It gives me pretty good flavor on a fralien or even a regular alien and I can still see the grooves. I'd love to try a 34g wrap just to see what the difference is like vape wise. I tried some mowhawk aliens last night and I straight up butchered the wire. I would get two good inches and then the groove would collapse, another two good inches, and then the groove would collapse again. The funny thing is I've actually done them by accident before successfully. I just didn't realize it was an actual build at the time I did it. Now I want to get the feeling down so I can do them consistently. I think that's my next challenge.

Diggity Diggity DAMN! That could be the best color I've seen ever! I'm inspired I'm trying a framed staple with a 40g wrap tonight and I'll see if it will color 1/64th as well as yours. Probably not hehe.

I wanted to share this photo, just to say that I did it, its a pair of interlocking aliens. This is actually an old photo. When I tell you it took me more than 20 attempts to paraclapton enough to achieve this build I am not exaggerating at all. I am terrible at paraclaptoning! I will probably never try this build again because there's no real advantage to it vs regular aliens, vape wise, IMO. I dunno how this photo is gonna come out or if your gonna be able to see the detail. You can see that one side heated up faster than the other. It's an old photo but here it goes.

I started from 30 and got it nice to 50 but then i pumbed it to 70 and hold it for to long and ofc i fried it atleast im wiser now

Let's preheat the oven to 325 degrees and throw the coils in for 25 minutes to see what kind of color we get!

I know that PureCoils.com was selling a fairly cheap ultrasonic cleaner. If I remember correctly it was in the 30 something US dollar range. It might still be available. I was actually considering buying one for myself.

Awesome work going on in here as of late. Great work guys. My clamps have surfaced, they were sent to an old address so had them picked up. Now I just need to get them in my hands and get back to building some beautiful coils with you guys keep up the great work, I shall be back soon. For now another fralien just so I've contributed something to the thread lol. Seems to be all I've been throwing together recently, they are getting very clean now though, can get sticks of them out with a twist in sight

Thank you That's just 36g decore that dude. If I'm not mistaken it was wrapped around 24g to be that wide. The wraps just seem to fall into place for me lately, possibly because I've done nothing but Aliens for a little while. Need to move back over to my multicore SFC's and get them this tight next haha. Hopefully be seeing more uploads in the next week when my clamps arrive

i would like to see those happen tomorrow i'm going to grind aliens and frailiens. Need to start stock going.. maybe i will get it super tight in some point but little spacing actually does look good in aliens in my opinion to.

If you don't mind me asking what is it you use to take the photos and for lighting? I only use a mobile phone with a magnifying lens held over the top and for lighting I bought a really cheap photo booth. Only cost 7 quid I think so maybe 10 dollars or thereabouts. Definitely helped with my photos like, get better lighting coverage and it's collapsible so doesn't have to take space up. I leave it in place though just for convenience
