Nice! Any time anything changes seems like a whole new setup eh?

Yeah it really does but I think I found my groove tonight. Can't wait until the next chance I get to build.Nice! Any time anything changes seems like a whole new setup eh?

Thanks man! I've done better but it wasn't a bad attempt. Just gotta keep learning and becoming more consistent. The new drill is pretty cool.Really nice bro!!
I’m working on my SS316L fraliens right now... going to be a real popular option once the DNA250c becomes more readily available..

My first shot at an alien! 3*24g ss316l, 36g n80, bout .14ohms. The wrapping has gaps where I backed it off a couple times, but I’m pretty happy. It has so good spots on the outer wraps.
Also, usps lost my swivels here’s my temporary setup lol. Raymo’s clamps fit perfect in this fidget spinner bearing. Just stuck some wire through the hole on the other side.
Got these coming in the mail just gonna make my own swivel.

Just want to make sure you know those Bones Reds are just 2 ball bearings, no wheel
I use the discs also. Some atomizers sit proud? I don’t understand
Sorry I just saw your response. There’s no risk at all... the reason some atomizers don’t sit completely flush is because of the size of the mod and the chip placement (to my knowledge). It comes with delrin spacers to make up the gap for the atomizers that have a little longer 510 then others. There’s certainly no danger in the way anything is set up... I absolutely love this mod. The size, the weight, the simplicity and the battery life is just outstanding. I honestly rate it 9-9.5/10..... it’s that good.
Edit Again: just to be clear, not all atomizers have that space but I still use the delrin disk every single time just to give some added protection against scratching and I think it helps with some heat dissipation.
Yea I’m gonna mount one in something like a piece of wood and find a dowel that fits through the hole. Kind of like the spinLT swivel. And if my krok swivels ever show up, I’ll have two different styles.

first build. made some fused Clapton's. dual 26g KA1 and 36g NI80. OHM .21 (screwed one up messing with it)

second attempt LOLLooks great. If you’re like me, you watched the videos, took your time, made a really good first try, then tried to make it too perfect and messed it up. Lol

Ugh that alien coil was ohming at .09. noticed when I checked it when I went to rebuild. Ampking 20700 didn’t get hot though that’s nice. Still I told my self .12 bottom limit.
Bunched up a 26g alien attempt. Tried quad 28g fused Clapton, they bunched up too. Gotta work on my sliders.
So I made this triple twist 26g wrapped in 36g all n80 as fast as I could lol so I would have a coil to use. .22 ohms

I use the discs also.
As you say to keep the scratches off my mods.
But I first started using them on my bottom fill tanks.
They helped keep the juice out of my 510 in case the fill screws seeped.
I grabbed mine from Kidney PuncherYeah those discs are great . I’m actually thinking of grabbing more for my other mods... where do u get yours?

Thank you!! Back at it this morning.Dude, them things are super clean for ur first go

That's DAMN clean for a first build. Way to go man. Try fused claptons next! Just take two wires, maybe 26g and tapes them together at the ends and then clapton them the same as you did the one wire. Again, Thank you!! I had an issue with the cores snapping mid was through the Clapton process. (at the drill chuck) Not sure when I straightened the wire, I did it to much? very frustrating.I think they were fused claptons!

My biggest suggestion to you would be to learn how to stack ribbon properly. Your whole coil building (& vaping) experience will change once you can successfully make framed staple Clapton’s.... of course keep practice on doing the Clapton’s wraps though, you’ll need to perfect that skill more then anything... but to be honest, I have a feeling your in the fast lane when it comes to coil building!

My first framed staple coil. And extra I had left. Probably won't run the second one. 4ply *4 28frames 36n80

Thanks a bunch. It does hold better with frames than without and not much more to it. Not to learn to space clapton wire and staggered maybe. Gonna make more of these to get tigher wraps. Just looks loose.Woohoo! Congrats mate did a grand job of it too
Thanks KingPin!! I'm very new to this. Got my Aspire Breeze two months ago and tried my first Clapton yesterday. What would be some suggestions for my next build? I've got the single round downSpot on builds jboss, very nice what’s next in your build checklist?
That's great man that's a super clean build that will give you a super nice vape. Great job.View attachment 108060 View attachment 108061 View attachment 108062 View attachment 108063 View attachment 108064 tried it again third go. did a little better this time.
Next place to go in my opinion would be fused claptons, tiger wire and claptoned tiger wire. They're all around the same difficulty and will also give you a taste of how different wires act upon heating the juice. They're also some of the least time consuming builds so you can knock them out pretty quicklyThanks KingPin!! I'm very new to this. That's a great looking coil. Great job. Framed Staples are so much easier to wrap! If you try it with a higher gauge binding you might mitigate that "loose" effect. When I clapton I cut a piece so I don't have to clapton from the spool (unless I'm just going for a decore) and I hold my hand close to the cores with a very slight angle leaning backwards that seems to get me a real tight binding. My first framed staple coil. And extra I had left. Probably won't run the second one. 4ply *4 28frames 36n80

So it was haha, I only looked at the writing saying tried first Clapton and assumed it was a straight Clapton :/ pays to pay attention lol. It does look twisted though so maybe try to achieve the flat fused Clapton to prepare for Aliens and the next steps??The pic looks like a fused clapton to me mate?
Yes, the hair grip trick is also good. It starts after about 1 minute in the video:That's happened to me before, usuay it was not getting the two 28 strands right perfectly in the middle of the chuck, or the drill is not facing the swivels at a straight angle, or the chuck had a gap in the middle and the cores pulled apart when I put tension on them from the swivel end, so they were rubbing against the edges of the chuck until they snapped. Carambra suggests putting masking tape between the cores and the chuck, or tightly binding the cores at the drill end before putting them in to keep them tight and not rubbing against the chuck edges
Could also put a hair pin or other loop in the drill chuck if you keep having problems with the cores breaking, or put less sideways tension on the cores from the wrap wire when claptoning them

Only say that as with Aliens last thing you want is twisted cores. Although alien wrap can actually help to keep the cores flat, that realisation and execution rarely land on the first attempt. At least with myself it wasn't that immediate lolSounds good as well ...maybe I’m jumping the gun haha
yes sir fused they areThe pic looks like a fused clapton to me mate?
Thanks!!Ey, try 3 cores next of the next higher gauge up wire! that'll get you ready for aliens, learning to set up three cores or more and keep them straight and not bunch up while wrapping, practicing your gentle wire holding technique
Edit: You might try three cores with the same gauge first, not trying to rush you mate but you're already doing really clean work
Thank you.welcome to the party @jboss10 beautiful first builds
super nice framed staples @Wtmke1
nice first alien @chrisakasparky. those gaps will go away as you get a feel for the wrapping process man. great progress
@Carambrda whats the specs on that monster? is it vapable or just a 'display build'?
It's kind of a pain to get the top cap to push onto the deck. Have to line the slots up perfect. I'll post a pic later. LOVE the SILVER DECK and Titanium cap.@jboss10 How you liking the redemption? I was going to get it, big fan of the top cap
