The amount of information in this thread and others coupled with the amount of video tutorials will give anyone that starts today an amazing advantage over starting a few years ago when there was nothing but Alien and Clapton/Micro Coil Videos.
Today's builders have access to a tutorial on almost every type of build there is and in multiple different ways to go about them, use them to your benefit.
Nothing beats experience so pay attention to each step, find ways to make those steps easier and faster for yourself and practice, practice, practice. Not every method will work for you so try others...the more you try the more you'll understand how it all works, which allows you to find small tips that may not have been uncovered before.
Start with the simple stuff like Claptons and Aliens, then really press yourself after your comfortable with them and most likely you'll be confident in your abilities after a few tries.Any time you find yourself having a shitty time building, build something incredibly easy to pick up your confidence again....you never forget how to ride a bike, but you can become a little rusty if enough time goes by without grabbing the handle bars here and there.
Ive been building for what 4-5 years now? Time doesnt seem to matter though, look at members that just started like Meg...the motivation, effort, and persistence is what makes the difference.
