OK so I need some input. I'm going to enter the 270 wirez buildoff in hopes to get some free wire!! Right now I have 2 builds to choose from, probably going to try to get 1 more. But at the moment it's between the clapton bianary and the one I'm posting now. I can't decide because the Binary is a little cleaner, but the Helix is a little more creative. Vote on your favorite for me please!!!!

off set, interlocking, and overstretched. The off-set was intentional but the over stretching wasn't. But it gave this cool little design, like a barber shop pole. Do we think it's worth pursuing this line of thought?? 4 ply .3 and 42g. I've got about 3.5 inches of this I'm considering throwing into a build.

Just sharing to hopefully clear something up. That would be 13ply Ribbon and 2 Frames, "Cores" are normally identified as solid wires grouped together or as one solid center wire. The "core" on Framed Staples is the entire wire underneath the wrap wire. "Cores" are mainly called out when its multiple round wires together like with Aliens or SFC's.Would this be 15 cores ? Both of these builds below would count as 4 "Core" Builds, one has a 3ply "Stack" of Ribbon.

Dismantled, cleaned, and reassembled my Wasp to attempt fixing the shorting/high resistance readings:
Replaced the squonk pin...still hisses and reads way too high. Works okay on unregulated, though
Also fixed up the Bravo for unregulated:

I use kanthal only - they're 0.13 ohms and still heat up slow x(
but yep, dual battery unregulatedEdit: I could also use SS430, don't like my 28g though, it's incredibly hard and dull looking...and 31g is kinda weird with 0.3 ribbon, may do that anyway
i did that to my reload bf rda the first time i tried to squonk with it
didnt have a replacement pin that fit 
still never squonked it to this day

i have never tried 4x26, could be a bit beefy to ramp up. 2.5mm should help that though (less wet wick insulating the coil). my guess is that it would be a pretty nice/mellow vape with a propensity to get hot after a few puffs.
I'm trying to get a fast-ramping, hot single coil...
and not get overly complex, since the guy is just wanting 3 core aliens...hnnnng I might go crazy and do 6x29 n80 or somethingmaybe ill try one later and give a report. i have been meaning to rebuild my hadaly, and im not in love with the build in my wasp either...a 4x26 2.5mm should fit in both...I'm trying to get a fast-ramping, hot single coil...

I just lost my mind and ordered a lot of 28g/38g N90 from England and 28g and 29g SS430 from Germany
My wire addiction has gone international once again
Had a thought ... been a looooong time since I did some straight wire. Was curious what going back to it was like. Not a bad vape ... but definitely lacking the flavor I've gotten used to.
22g Ni80, 3mm ID, .08 ohm Dual Coil. That's a bit lower than I had intended. I slammed them in there pretty far. Apparently I didn't lean enough on the leads lmao.

Edit: I highly reccomend stealthvape wires like really highly. For the price you get amazing quality of wire and their spooling technique is absolutly flawless.

Almost anyone can make shit like this. The act of making exotic coils is just a practiced skill. Gain an understanding of the concept through research and/or trial and error. Then it's just repeating the same action enough times until you become "proficient" at it. Aesthetic coil building is just taking multiple concepts and seeing if you can make them work together.
Plus what @The_hat_trix said. It took me 3 or 4 tries to get that mini interlock in the middle.

That's how I feel when I scroll through this thread. The answer is simple though. You can. I can. It's all a process.i always look at a coil and try to decipher where it started. When it comes to interlocking and shit I'm lost though.

There's a Ted talk online about "the super Mario effect". Was to do with positive/negative reinforcement.
The short of it is to do with point scoring. If you always care about what the outcome is, as opposed to what you've learnt during the process, you set yourself up to fail. Very interesting watch of you're into Ted talks

No it doesen't it's just result when you put everything out and try you best and finally, after 50-100 errors you make it the feeling from it is better than anything.. but of course compilcated builds ain't for anybody but anybody can do them if you put enough effort to it

There are apps out there as well that gamify your life as well. Set some specific goals you want to achieve and complete challenges to work towards them. Might not work for all but could be useful to someone whose mind works better that way. Food for thought anyway. And yeah man, wee caaann dooo iiiiitt

Ugly, feisty, maybe good vape in a Hadaly? Found a squonk pin that fit it, so here... twisted 2x28 twisted with twisted 2x28 SS430...twisted...then claptoned with 46 for shits n giggles I guess, see how long it lasts
To be honest, these fancy looking coils aren’t better vapes usually. Aliens, staples,and fraliens are the best vape and aren’t too hard to learn. If you want to learn aliens, just get some 28g and 36g and try a couple times a day until you get it. Of course many of us also build and sell coils to order.
