I just stagger one piece of wire then lay both of them together and fuse

You know, Im starting to think that maybe you're getting a little too good at this! :p
Hahahaha bro you’re so funny. You can never be too good. Building literally has an unlimited amount of options when it comes to coils you can make. Lately I’ve just been posting a lot. There will definitely be times I’m not able to post as often so I just want to get as many cool builds in as I can, while I can. BTW your coils are going out tomorrow cause I couldn’t get to the post office today. I’m also remaking coils for some people that installed them incorrectly. Man it’s a lot of work but I want to be a guy who helps out, not a guy who’s in it for profit. Thanks for always being supportive! I’m definitely not too good there’s plenty for all of us to learn together.:D

See, now you're being too humble! :p

Seriously tho. You do make very good quality coils and cant wait to vape the fraliens you are shipping out tomorrow. Just curious, what size ID did you wrap them on?

You and everyone else in this thread make it so easy to be supportive. I see many experienced builders in here liking and commenting on even the simplest builds, which is how it should be. Everyone being so supportive of one another in this thread is awesome! :)

For most regular vapeable coils I stick with a 2.5 mm ID. I try to minimize the deviation between the temperature of the cotton touching the coil and the cotton in the middle of the wick. 2.5 is the lowest I would go but that’s what works for me so that’s what I do and so far I haven’t received any pushback on that. I know a lot of vapers opt for a larger ID so it’s totally subjective. I can get plenty of cotton into a 2.5mm ID and if I use quality juices it never burns away. So that’s where I start unless someone specifically requested something different.

That's cool Shred. I just wanted to know to get an idea of which atty I'm going to put the fraliens in. Some attys I use 2.5 and others 3-3.5. :D

Music is a great thing to get into
yeah man, i was deep into it as a kid (at fifteen we had two bands, we put on most of the all-ages shows in our town, we had a indie record label/distro, a 'zine etc), then i met a girl and moved away from my local music scene and was in a big hurry to 'grow up' and make a normal life so i just started working. twenty years later and its time to answer the call again :D its fun to see whats left over after all that time. most of my theory and memorization is gone, but my hands are still pretty good :teehee:

Thanks man, really appreciate it!

Figured out I had too much tension on the drill because my cores were twisting so once I let the cores sag a bit they fused much easier. Still a work in progress but it's progress.
That's how you get better, by messing up and learning your mistakes. Looks like you learned the trick with this one. :)

So true. I've messed up plenty that's for sure but I am happy with these guys. Done for the night but I'll give em a go again Thursday at some point. Right now it's Modelo time!!!
I like Modelo. I'm more partial to Modelo Negra just because I really like a good dark beer, but I was pleasantly surprised by Especial as well.

I'll have to try the negra and see what that's like. Don't usually like darker beers but there's always exceptions.

Did you get to building any coils after work?

No, was helping cousin after work with his truck. Didn't get home till almost 1 a.m. to eat dinner. Will be around the same time tomorrow. It's looking like Saturday evening before I'll get to sit down at my building station. Grrr, but not much I can do. Have hood cleaners tomorrow night, then have to close Friday night and open on Saturday. Been so busy this past week. I need an 8th day in my week LOL

Still working on that tension thing but that'll do pig!
nice work  making mistakes is the best way to git gud, as long as you make the most of them. there are only a handful of things that can go wrong with any given build. once you identify the problem(s) and adjust, its just falls together. a lot of those little lessons carry over to the next harder build as well. eventually you can randomly decide to fuse a couple of those to one of these, or alien wrap that other thing and it will just work (whether it works/vapes well is a different story lol)

I hear ya and agree 100%. My problem is I started to walk before crawling. Last December I was messing around making fused Clayton's and decided I would try to make aliens for shits and giggles. Started right off using triple cores of 26 and 28 builds and had a little success. Jumped straight to trying a fralien and again had a little success. And then I ran straight into a brick wall and had something like 20+ failures in a row. So after taking a month off I decided to back track to dual cores and get those figured out first. Doesn't help that I'm not a patient person but I have discovered enjoying a cold beer while building helps. :D

Careful, it only gets more difficult as you get older. 20 years ago I used to work 60+ hours a week and now I give them 40 and that's it. Don't have the energy or the healthy lower back I once had. :giggle:
I feel you, I have old injuries that like to rear their ugly heads and it limits me at times. Problem is that the older I get, the more stubborn I get LOL. I reallyneed to slow down.
