This is why Chef and I used 38g and up for outer wraps...it doesnt affect the overall resistance and the ramp up s almost instantaneous, like a parallel build with extra wicking properties, my favorite build uses 22g/46g-lightning ramp up with great wicking properties. I do admit there are small diminishing returns the higher you go but there are still benefits to using the outer wrap, whether you put them through the post or stop the wrap a few mm from the post. Think of it as more of a rough surface for juice to dwell on rather then a smooth wire the juice slips off once warm...and since the wire is thinner the heatsink affect is almost nonexistent but it can still hold plenty of juice. This is why I started experimenting with micro/nano fused claptons (34g/40g+). Should you decide to grab some 22g or 24g in Nichrome80 and then use some 38g+ Nichrome60 and even t 3.6V the ramp up is less then half of a second, I usually press the button just before I can draw from it and its already a hot vape.

Looks like utter complete fucking greatness to me! Almost had you going there :p
Had 3 of my molars yanked yesterday...my teeth are why I havent been spending time with wrapping lately...couldnt think of anything and pain so intense that it makes you spazz out and titch dance makes it hard to focus and be tedious....
I haven't tried 38g, 34 is about as small as I've gone. The fine outer wrap reducing ramp, makes sense. Why does the outer wrap need to be Nichrome since it does nothing electrically?

Okay, so I got the Crius off of ebay and it looked a little bit different than what I had seen in reviews. I made sure it was authentic by emailing the manufacturers with the pics. Idk if I'm just being too picky, but I was honestly surprised when I saw this because even the 12 and 20 dollar clone RDA's that I have look better than this.

If you take a look at those parts circled in the pic, you'll notice that the metal pieces are not shiny like the inside parts of the tank and they're not smooth so I'm not sure if that means that it's something other than stainless steel. The ebay seller said it's a "blasted satin finish" and I have no idea what that means. All I know is that it looks and feels cheap. Any thoughts? Thank you.

You an use anything to stage with...we usually stage with a wire thats lower in resistance or matching without the wire being more power thirsty then the actual main wire...but Ive done builds where the stage wire was just as big and bulky as the main wires.
See:
20151001_125106-jpg.33685

Twisted wire should be fine as it should ramp up fast, depending on the other wire it may switch up and the other wire might turn out to be the staging wire instead...

I will wrap it up and load it up and see what I get out of it!

Why is it every time I got to do a fused Clapton half way down it starts twisting the core to the point it looks like I claptoned twisted wire could I be putting too much tension on the drill so the swivels aren't swiveling right. The first half Its fine it's the second half that ruins it

Sent from the lab in my basement of vapement

Simple answer is your swivels aren't turning fast enough to keep up with the drill. I've fixed this by putting a drop of VG or other lubricant on the ball bearing of the swivels to keep them turning freely. Works like a charm. Also, make sure you have a few swivels daisy chained together, three is good just in case one seizes up.

My first fused Clapton. No swivel available so after fixing the twists in the core I pressed it flat from either side with a pair of pliers. It reminds me of caterpillar tracks coils I've seen. Dual 24awg kanthal core claptoned with 32awg nichrome80. .16ohms. Mounted in fast tech velocity clone, on tobecco stingray x clone w/ a vtc5. I was worried about ramp up time. 1 sec max. Flavor is spectacular. So far the only juice I've used on this set up is Cuba melon. Certainly one of my favorites so far. On to the alien coil.

Ok I think it might be this one messing it up

because the rest are just the ball bearing ones with no clip should I slow the drill down or do you think lubricating them would be enough

WD-40 works wonders. Just don't get it on your wire.

Yeah I'm not into vaping WD-40
I got a nasty taste just reading that...

Anyway, take your swivels outside to spray them, and let them sit on a paper towel to get rid of the excess WD-40. Then add another swivel to the end of the chain to avoid contamination and you should be fine.

That's what I did except for adding the other swivel part yet but I haven't tried to make another fused Clapton yet so I will def do

I use VG on my swivels...but I bought swivels that can handle twice my body rate so I doubt Ill have issues for a while....

I gave chef the bug lol I was just arranging and rearranging them trying to use the smaller amount before I get into the rolls that have 500-1000 ft

I emailed them on why my order hasnt shipped yet...I didnt realize its a preorder and it ships where it says ETA then DATE...I was pretty pissed since I was expecting both the Crius V3 and the 2 Aromamizers to show up around the same time....Now its going to be after Christmas for the Aromamizer....My Crius from FastTech and its Clone are almost already here...

I just saw the Double Vision RDA...that looks like a beast, plus you can use the Twisted Messes Caps on it! They give you 2 bases just incase you want to use the base on your TM RDA!

OMGGG, dual fused clapton nano dragons anyone? I'm into it. With that deck setup, I wonder how side airflow would work out. Some unique opportunities to be had with that deck.

How do you like that mod? I was thinking about ordering one but on the fence because you cannot adjust the coefficient.

Also, you have a tire low on air. :D

How do you like your reuleaux???

I'll throw my opinion into the mix.
So far I'm very happy with mine. I got an all black RX200 last week and it's been flawless so far. I have it loaded with 3 Basen 40amp 3100 mAh batteries and it's been lasting me two full days of use at 103w on a 0.17 alien build. Comparing this to my previous mod, a Sig150, which only lasted about half the day on the same build.

I have yet to try temp control on it though, I haven't got any wire to test it yet, so maybe @Dawn0810 can comment on that for you @MidwestExpress

Edit: also I have been charging via USB to test how well it does balanced charging of cells. So far all 3 batteries have been within 0.02v of each other after a full night on charge, so I'm pretty happy with that.

Lmao off I just realized you said that about my tire I had all for replaced then I went somewhere else they told me they had the right amount in like 3 times then I went back to where I got them done and they said it was fine so more educated people then myself in the automotive area says they think they f*ed up one or more of my censors since BMWs have a censor for everything but I refuse to take anymore money away from vaping for that damn car lol

Nothing Crazy but I did a small Series Build, getting the Noisy Cricket and wanted to start building for the profile....
2x30K/40N Single Centered Vertical in Velocity (.54 Ohms)
20151217_184454.jpg20151217_184019.jpg 20151217_185103.jpg 20151217_185052.jpg 20151217_185154.jpg
I pushed the build to 200W and its a great vape but I dont have anything here to push it to the full 8.4V but either way its a great build and Im looking forward to using the Cricket and seeing what can be done with that.

Ill be doing some more insane builds in the next few days when I find time...

It's kinda like working with quantum physics. :D
You're not quite sure where it is, but you know where it's supposed to be. If it is, then the theory (or in this case, the coil wire) works.
Can I get a t shirt or coffee mug with that on it! Ha-ha

Low profile Alien.

~3 ply .8mm ribbon wire layered and Alien wrapped in 36g. Wrapped parallel to 28G N80.
~Dual 6/5 wraps clocked in at .15 ohms, 2.5mm inner diameter
~LOVE the way this build vapes. Initial punch from the 28G at first immediately followed by a wall of nice, warm, flavorful vapor off of the ribbon alien.
Definitely as functional as it is beautiful.

Im not as cool since I dont own a Macro Lens for my phone but I wanted to make a downsized version of the 22K/46N RDA Build I love and put it in my TFV4 Dual RBA....I wanted to post pics of how crazy small the wire is viewing from a 12x Macro zoomed all the way in, with a penny to show size comparison...

Couple things.

First. Don't have time for builds, but I made time... By that I mean I procrastinated studying for my tests tomorrow because I needed a new build.

Back to the standard, 26 G N60 (2x's) with a 34G N80 outside. Staged with 26 gauge.

I do that build a lot. Sometimes 28 G as the staging wire.

6 wrap.

f19f79bc89ffede8dbc70cabe2b601f8.jpg

Also... Contacted Source More about my Noisy Cricket that has yet to ship. "Sorry for the inconvenience, we are waiting for the Black noisy cricket to be restocked. Should ship out this weekend."

Or something close... Broken English of course.

Wonderful. Why must everything I order be not in stock. UPDATE YOUR SITE!

Do any of the coil calcs do fused Clapton's? If not, how do you take into account the added core. I have one that does Clapton's but not fused Clapton's.

Experience and experimenting, I never use the calcs....but using a calc it should be very similar to twisted/parallel builds on them, the outer wire does almost nothing for the resistance..

I have never used a calc until I downloaded one today to see if it would help me. People are always taking about using them. I normally build and test and modify from there. Normally don't need to modify. I just roll with what I build and it works out.
