How do they vape tho? Been wanting to do some braids...

Merry holidays and happy christmas

The fused Clapton is a lot better and easier to make in my opinion. I got bored so gave it a try.

I've been doing some lately MAKE SURE YOU WERE UTILITY GLOVES I've torn my fingers up because of the tension you have to keep and the constant switching of fingers and you don't realize it until you're done how bad it is.

Agreed, I wasn't smart enough to grab some gloves, I work construction and my hands are pretty well callused over and I could still feel it trying to cut into my hands pretty good.

Merry Christmas, all you builders ;)

Velocity will be here Saturday now that USPS is updating stuff and it's not "delayed"

Hopefully I will have new toys to play with tomorrow. Finally got tracking for my Noisy Cricket, already at US San Fran Post... Which is 2 hours away. Not sure if it will be held at customs or not though... I'm hoping Saturday or Monday I'll have both in hands :)

What size Grub screws are the Crius Post Screws? M2? M2.5? I want to get some Tempered Carbon Steel Versions because Ive stripped them all (even extras) with 2 builds...I have my wires wrapped into the bottom holes and around tight and then the screws are barely applying pressure on them. Its enough to make them glow evenly but I want a solid connection at the screws...

This is very interesting. The major for the M2.3 is 2.28 and the minor for the M2.5 is 2.380.

I got mine to replace the philips screws on my mutation at home depot. They're black oxide coated and very durable

I know there is an old British measurement that hits but that sizing was abandoned in 1966, so its either a really loose fitting m2.3 or a tight fitting m2.5 I have no idea what they did on the velocity posts. There is no such creature (or at least that I can find) for m2.4.

I was thinking a month or two ago... If someone wanted to, maybe someone who already has a name in the vape community, someone with a brand even.. There would be a market for a place that offers grub screws for all RDAs . .. . . .. Not only ones that come stock with grub screws. I have learned to love grubs which only come with my mad hatter mini so far.. They seem to be less likely to back out. But I'd love to put some in my mutations and Doge...

If there was a place that sold all sizes and you could just select your RDA and it would point you to the screw sizes needed.

Idk. Just rambles. Maybe there's already something similar out there.

Home depot... I think they carry every size from 2mm up. It'll take some sizing against oem screws but they're always in stock

Schmucko I'm not sure if they carry the grub screws though and the Crius requires you to use them since it's a velocity deck. I order some off of ebay and they came fast.

Forever. It's a little over 3 feet long. There's a lot of wire length in that little coil. Rough estimate is over 15 feet of 44g.

My Aromamizers are arriving in a few minutes so it will give me something to work on since I can touch the Crius gain until new screws come in....I almost ordered the Griffin last night but decided against it.
I have a Target cCell Tank(Giveaway) coming Thursday to try out...I was thinking of buying that TF-R3 (tri-coil rba deck) and TF-T8(Octuple Clapton)coils for the TFV4 but IDK....

I was going to tell you about the aromamizer that could be the only downside of of the clone the grub nuts might not stand up against some of the wire builds but you can't fit too many crazy wire builds I love the Clapton deck for the TFVs. It's what had me give the tanks another chance and now I'm loving them.

I wonder if the Screws from the Clapton deck would be a replacement for the grubs? They are really thin flat topped and seem to be about the same size. Ill try it with the extras that come with it, though they might bit a tad wide around the screw head to be used as replacements for the bottom holes.

I received the Aromamizers about an hour ago. One I am giving to a friend with a build for a Xmas Present and one I am using to compare with the Crius V3. I am glad to have purchased this for 13.99 and it seem well worth the price. It comes in a nice case with all the colored bands, spare glass and extras.
20151226_122058.jpg
The tank itself seem well machined on both, they are lighter then I expected but seem well crafted (Im not a fan of the AFC Bands). The Chromed Plated Chimney is the only thing that could worry others, Im not worried as I almost never take the area apart besides rinsing flavors out. The deck is spacious, much more then the Crius V3 and the postholes are much bigger to start with (I didnt need to drill them out). The knurling helps when disassembling the tank, this is a big plus as the Crius sometimes is a pain to take apart. The chamber is also very large compared to the Crius, builds can be bigger diameter and further from the posts.
20151226_132126.jpg 20151226_132314.jpg
People complain about the way it wicks, I find the method very nice when building for our type of builds. I use the Scottish Roll Wicking Method for everything and see the holes as points of where my wicking tips should end like in a RDA. Using tht wicking method also make the deck cleaner and bigger as the wick doesnt take much of the usable area up.

Ive used the same build I did in the Crius (2x24K/46N60 Fused Clapton) and one with a 9 Wrap 22g both builds on a 2.5mm bit. They fit and still have room, plenty of room enough for 3mm coils if you moved them closer to the posts then I did.
20151226_123852.jpg
20151223_131556-jpg.36414

I am still breaking them in at 55w and will add to this review as I continue to use them, so far the flavor is on point when half-closed off but with some higher wattage Im sure Ill enjoy wide open airflow on the Aromamizer. Thank you for wasting your time to read my comparison........

Im really liking the Aromamizer right now, I wish it was as flavorful as my Crius was before switching but I remember the Crius wasnt very good at the start...I guess ill see which I like better after the day goes by and then Ill do a flavor/vapor comparison.
You warned me of the Grub nuts being pathetic, they are much stronger and seem tighter then the Crius (Clone and Authentic) I havent striped or loosened any yet, the Crius's both had stripped nuts the first coil build and got worse with the second...

I'm sure it will be because I always hate breaking in new builds because they just don't taste as good but once that bad boy is broken in watch out lol

Awesome write up on that tank! Thanks Ray. Hey I saw you wick everything the Scottish wick method, and have a few questions.

A) what is the best video of it you can link me to, I have seen several and there's always people that say "that's not the real method" so I don't know what is the "right" one..

B) do you really find it beneficial (obviously you must, you continue to do it) so why!?

And
C) what cotton do you use?

RipTripper Video is the Cleanest/Clearest Video on the Method...I suggest a watch of it (Mind his actions not his personality...
Its a great method...its clean and gives more room, it makes the cotton the mot absorbent it could be and having the tips go to where the juice source is is like a tap...Its like having your hose hooked up to the source by the tip and not having it pool around the tip and entering it, its much more free flowing and a faster delivery. I have yet to dry hit with it unless I fail at wicking it right,

Ugh... @85 watts it makes some decent vapor but, sadly, the mutation is no match for the velocity in terms of flavor

Made the wire tonight. I can Def tell I haven't wrapped wire in a couple weeks. This is also my first try at a framed clapton.

30 strands or 40 kanthal framed in 24 kanthal and wrapped in 40 kanthal. I will coil and poor this in my Aromamizer that I will get on Monday when I get to work.

I think im legaly insane. 20151226_194119.jpg 20151226_194056.jpg2 strands of 26 kanthal twisted with a strand of flat ribbon. Claptoned with 26 kanthal. I barely fit it my tobeco turbine. Things just fucking crazy.
