Prayer warriors, please send prayers up about for my fiance Ashley and myself. we are trying to conceive (out of wedlock yes, but extenuating circumstances prevent marriage for another few months).

also I have been struggling to find work in our new town.

i know these two requests pail in comparison to others but the the the biggest issues in our (my fiance and mysels) little word. thank you.

For those who believe, no proof is necessary. For those who don't believe, no proof is possible.
I believe the quote is .."for those who believe no proof is neccesary, for those who don't believe no proof is sufficent."

Dionysos, god whose arrival is swift
and certain, enduring friend of women and men
whose welcome is warm, bringer of light, we see you
in shadows. Dionysos, granter of great blessings,
your presence is a heady wine. Kind-hearted god,
to each you give as is fitting, each vessel you fill
only as we can bear, and yet with even a sip
we are drunk upon you, and our faith is affirmed.
Awesome god, by our own will we drink deeply,
with you we become lost, we wander, we are found.

Son of God, Jesus,
through you all things were made.
You were formed in the womb of Mary our Mother,
you became part of this earth,
and you gazed upon this world with human eyes.
Today you are alive in every creature
in your risen glory.

Zorba sighed.

"If Hell exists," he said, "I shall go to Hell, and that'll be the reason. Not because I've robbed, killed or committed adultery, no! All that's nothing. But I shall go to Hell because one night in Salonica a woman waited for me on her bed and I did not go to her…"

  • You want to build a monastery. That's it! Instead of monks you'd stick a few quill drivers like your honored self inside and they'd pass the time scribbling day and night [...] Well, I'm going to ask you a favor, holy abbot: I want you to appoint me doorkeeper to your monastery so that I can do some smuggling and, now and then, let some very strange things through into the holy precincts: women, mandolins, demijohns of raki, roast sucking pigs ... all so that you don't fritter away your life with a lot of nonesense!

“Is he good? Or is he bad? That's the only thing I ask nowadays. And as I grow older—I'd swear this on the last crust I eat—I feel I shan't even go on asking that! Whether a man's good or bad, I'm sorry for him, for all of 'em. The sight of a man just rends my insides, even if I act as though I don't care a damn! There he is, poor devil, I think, he also eats and drinks and makes love and is frightened, whoever he is: he has his God and his devil just the same, and he'll peg out and lie as stiff as a board beneath the ground and be food for worms, just the same. Poor devil! We're all brothers! All worm-meat!”

Lord Jesus, may I never doubt your guiding presence and mercy towards me. Through the gift of your Spirit fill me with courage and persevering faith to trust you in all things and every circumstance I find myself in. Give me the strength to cling to your promises when the world around me begins to shake or crumble. And when my love and zeal begin to waver, fan it into a flame of consuming love and dedication for you who are my All."

Lord Jesus, I place all my trust and hope in you. Come make your home with me and take possession of my heart and will that I may wholly desire what is pleasing to you. Fill my heart with love and mercy for others that I may boldly witness to the truth and joy of the gospel through word and example, both to those who accept it and to those who oppose it."

Lord Jesus, may I always honor you, both in my work and in my rest, and in the way I treat my neighbor. Fill me with your love and keep me free from a critical and intolerant spirit that I may always seek to please you and to bring good to my neighbor as well."

Lord Jesus Christ, your death and resurrection brought life and hope where there was once only despair and defeat. Give me unwavering faith, unshakeable hope, and the fire of your unquenchable love that I may serve you joyfully now and for ever in your everlasting kingdom."

Deut. 28:53Then because of the dire straits to which you will be reduced when your enemy besieges you, you will eat your own children, the flesh of your sons and daughters whom the Lord has given you.

But if you will not obey the Lord your God by diligently observing all his commandments and decrees, which I am commanding you today, then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you." Deuteronomy 28:15

A prediction by a prophet not the word of God .
Yea, Art. But what is a prophet if not God's mouthpiece?

I agree with everything said. I have chosen not to talk about religion, wages, or politics on a forum. I stay clear of others opinions that way. Only thing I am vocal about is Smoking Sucks, Vaping rocks & saves lives.

Ahhhh...so this:
Then the messenger who went to summon Micaiah spoke to him saying, "Behold, the words of the prophets are uniformly favorable to the king. So please let your word be like one of them and speak favorably." 13But Micaiah said, "As the LORD lives, what my God says, that I will speak." 14When he came to the king, the king said to him, "Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I refrain?" He said, "Go up and succeed, for they will be given into your hand."…

Isn't Micaiah stating that he only speaks the Word of G*d, thus defining the role and definition of "prophet"?
and this: Isaih 8:20
Consult God's instruction and the testimony of warning. If anyone does not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn.
Doesn't state that if a "prophet" doesn't speak according to God's instruction they have no light?
The above according to you isn't the Word of God...
Dude, think about Mark 13:6
Many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and will deceive many.

I have much more to tell ya but I think your soul knows what I'm saying.
Matthew 7:23

@HazyShades I am not a biblical scholar .I should of made clear this is only my interpretation and opinion .I belive in a forgiving and loving God and the acts and words of Jesus . When i was young you woukd go to hell if you ate meat on friday ...this is no longer true but does that mean it was ever true or the word of God ? If the pope says its not true then as the vicar of Christ on this world he got the ok from God .I place little on the word of man even in the time of jesus man looks to control the masses with the words of God .The actions of Christ is how i belive that all are welcome in his kingdom who do their best for their fellow man . These are only my opinions

So then your OPINION isn't the word of God either...you say you're not a Biblical scholar
yet you say the Word of God isn't the Word of God and that God's Prophets, HIS MOUTH PIECES
aren't the Word of God but only idiots warning us like Chicken Little or the Boy Who Cried Wolf...

Yea, perhaps you should make it clear that you're just some clown spouting crap
you don't understand and quit acting like a preacher.
Getting off on an anti pope tangent is a useless argument; That the RCC claims the Pope to be the vicar of Christ doesn't have jack
to do with the fact that you're saying that the Scripture on which your alleged faith in Christ is based in the first place
isn't the Word of God.
I'm sorry for you, bud. I'm sure your intentions are good, at least I hope so
but from over here you sound like just another pretentious asshole.
Jesus, that dude you claim to follow said:
Matthew 6:5-7
5"When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. 6"But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you. 7"And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words.…

See what I'm saying? Shut up and go in your closet 'cause you sure as hell don't represent
and your taking MY LORD'S NAME IN VAIN PISSES ME OFF.

Forgot, you don't have a Bible and are too stupid to look it up on the net...
Matt 10:34-35
"Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35"For I came to SET A MAN AGAINST HIS FATHER, AND A DAUGHTER AGAINST HER MOTHER, AND A DAUGHTER-IN-LAW AGAINST HER MOTHER-IN-LAW;…"

Yea...I'll respect your opinion for what it's worth as long as I don't see you misrepresent
your self as anything other than a dude from Jersey with an opinion.

However, educated opinions are worth a little more than off the top of your head
or even deep in your heart opinions when it comes to preaching.
Indeed your saviour told the pharisees to go pray in their closet...

If you need a Bible, even the Douay Rheims and Jerusalem (Catholic) Bibles are available for download
in software form along with the KJV and several others except the NIV which you can always look up on the net.
I'll even send you some links if you want. I suggest you read them.
I also suggest you do some research on the papacy and the popes...just for kicks.

My views aren't extreme, they echo God's Word(s).
God is a constant, his Word and/or views do not change according to what culture dictates
or the pope decides is politically correct.

Have phun, but if you're gonna represent...REPRESENT

Dude ,give it a rest , One opinion , or view on questions of faith , can not be proved wrong by another opinion or view of faith . I'm not even religious and can see it that way . I can respect any and all views on that subject .
