You should try a bigger difference between your wrap and core sizes. Usually 10-12 numbers is a good guide, i.e. 26/36, 24/36, 26/38, etc. That will make a BIG difference in flavor AND clouds. YMMV of course, especially if you're cursed (sorry man, just can't let it go! Lol)It doesn't seem to matter what I build it never stacks up to the exact same build I follow online. I just built a simple Clapton using 26 ga kanthal and 30 ga ss for the wrap. Single coil 9 wraps around 2.5 mm and it ohms at .19 and takes for ever to ramp up. I but a second coil with same results

In my exierience yes. The mosfet is really important - for safety and performance both. I wouldn't skimp on that. I love Hexohms btw. They're spendy, but the clones have good reps and there's a FB group that trades and sells used ones (mostly folks wanting to get newer version). The v2 is plenty nice but since the v3 just came out e eruine wabts one. I believe the manufacturer is Craving Vapor in Austin, TX and they have the best service and support rep in the business. Fwiw I love my HexOhms (v1, 2 and 3).Cherry bombers and tugboat seem to be the #1 clones on ebay. Is the mosfet chip really make a difference? I hate the tugboat splatter paint job

You and me both. That's why I love the Hexohms. Aside from being sexy mods, they're made like main battle tanks and have the warranty to back it up. Cheap Chinese-made mods generally give you what you pay for. For example, I absolutely LOVE my Praxis Vapors #Banshee mod, but it's so poorly made and coded it's barely usable. I discovered no fewer than 7 major issues in the first 3 days; all of them non-design bugs. Designed in the USA, manufactured (badly) in China. 'Nuff said.I made some new Claptons 26/36 kanthal. Set up dual coil 3mm 5 wraps comes out to 0.42 ohm on my Griffin 25 Plus, flavor is decent but not nearly as good as on my limitless Plus. I do like the HexOhm but they are a bit pricey. I've been going through a lot of mods over the past few months as they all seem to be breaking on me. Hopefully the Fuchai 200w TC will last me a while, I'm tired of spending $$$ on mods that don't last.
That Hohm Wrecker sounds really interesting! How's the hit?You guys need a Hohm Wrecker G2 and a Tres Equis or Lethal Box mod and you wont ever need another box...
The Hohm Wrecker G2 replicates the smoothness and consistency feel of a unregulated mod, its wattage feels more accurate-not exaggerated in the least bit. Its hard to explain the way it heats a coil up....it ramps it instantly but when vaping it you dont feel the burning scorch you do with most boxes at high wattage, the heat is there but its smooth and doesnt fluctuate or continue to get hotter...and thats just wattage mode. Also it can fire down to .007 Ohms but Ive only have gone as low as .02 Ohms and it functioned as normal. That Hohm Wrecker sounds really interesting! How's the hit?
One thing I noticed though in the review I saw (http://vaping360.com/hohm-wrecker-g2-review/) was that it seems to favor simple builds and there's a ton of fiddling you have to do to get it set up right. Was this your experience too? Did you use yours with advanced coil builds?
Either way, I sure wish I could try out all three. I'd like to get into building more complex mods, but I want to work with open source control software (and hardware), and there doesn't seem to be much of that going around from which to make a start...
I'm going to try building a series 200w PWM for my next mod and see how that goes. I don't REALLY want to build mods (I like coil and juice DIY more), but the higher end mods are just so incredibly expensive.
BTW the Lethal Box seems to have been discontinued by the mfgr. Thanks for the reply @raymo2u!

There is a Hohm Wrecker G2 thread on VU with many more reviews/opinions and information but the Temp control works, at first it can seem overwhelming but after the first or second time you do it you will understand what to do every time and get it set up faster....no computers needed and works for any metal and every metal even combined all in one setting (xXx Mode).
The SS Mode works perfectly fine with 316L so you can set and forget it but for Kanthal/N80 or multi-stand/complex builds you can use xXx Mode. I have used some insane builds in wattage mod and it worked better than I anticipated though battery life with a 6 complex coil monster on Temp Control mode doesnt last long...
The new update made it 177 watts now and anyone that has gotten a G2 will tell you the wattage feels much stronger then most previous boxes, my Snow Wold I could max out to 200w and the G2 only needed 95w for the same "feel"...
Check out the thread I linked if your interested, HohmTech has a Triple and Quad 18650 box coming out soon also and those I will buy without any hesitation.....
I see some Tres Equis and Lethal Clones on ebay here and there...the clones Ive seen are pretty close to 1:1 and even for a daily beater the price is justified, pick one up if/when you do see one, you will not regret it.
Then I'll buy one too! That's about as resounding an endorsement for good reasons as I've ever heard. Thank you!
Thanks yeah - I hit the other thread and got one for $50 and a Slice too!And if they're not out of stock yet, and have a color you want (they're going fast) you can get a Cyber Monday deal today... about $50.
