I always considered myself more penguin than giraffe, but I was a bit chubby when I was younger so I guess those years of stretching were just my inner giraffe emerging. I just had an interesting idea for an app, combining the faces of two animals to see what they would become if they made nookie.I LOVE penguin giraffes
I'm hoping you guys can settle an argument/discussion between my mother and I.
We were talking about driving on icy roads. And she asked aren't you Hydroplaning on ice? And as I thought about it, when you slide on ice you're actually sliding on a think sheet of water that forms between the road surface or the ice and your tire.
And when you hydroplane, a thin sheet of water forms beneath your tires and you can be sliding out of control in 1/2 a second.
So do you guys consider sliding on ice to be "hydroplaning"?
Or are you just sliding, because that's just the way ice works?
Hopefully my head doesn't explode before I get an answer

I suppose it is considered hydroplaning if you think of it. Ice is just frozen water. From a technical standpoint I would say yes it's hydroplaning. Either way it sucks when it happens, although it is worse and harder to control on ice

Finally went to the hospital yesterday and got diagnosed gall bladder problems. Will be seeing a surgeon today. Yesterday was a blur of meds that made me shiny and sleepy. Today have to stay off them to be able to drive to the surgeon

Oh no I'm scared lol... I've heard it's a fairly simple surgery with quick recovery if they do it laparoscope. Hopefully that's all I need. May need a few more tests first

Yesterday was Herkies birthday.....3 years old.
I brought home puppy jerky treats....his favorite...and loved on him non stop....it was a very good day for both of us.
Only problem is, now he's looking at me like "where's the jerky daddy?.....Why aren't you rubbing me non-stop and cooing at me?".....damn dog......owning my heart.....not even a big headed baby but has me wrapped around his furry finger cuz I'm weak and big hearted....lol.....
I took today off.....cuz I have days to burn. Manager said he was going to pick days off for me that worked for him..( going on all over the big blue box)....I told him."bullshit"....you don't pick my vacation days.....plus I have 40 hours of sick time that can't roll over....can only roll over 80 hours....so today, magically, I'm too sick to go to work...lol...
I have to give 30 days notice to take a day and they think they are going to tell me their going to burn my vacation days at their leisure in the next week....lol.....HR lady just waved me off when I approached her....told me to do whatever I wanted but line it up in the next week or so. My manager hates me but needs me because I'm the only person that "works" in our department......
I'm kinda a dick. Speaking of which......really thought we would have pics of Skinnys mom by now......hope he didn't think I was kidding....lol......
Making homemade sushi rolls later....
Trip to the store and possibly a trip to a seafood market later...depending on what the tuna looks like at my local store.
Nothing fancy....California rolls and fatty tuna rolls.

Sorry you are going through this Always, I can empathize as I have been going through something similar for about a year and a half, not sure exactly what it is because I don't do doctors, but I think I am going to have to soon. It's either IBS or gall bladder I'm sure with a family history of gall bladder problems. The good side is over that year and a half I have lost over 20 lbs.
I've been so quiet lately for a number of reasons, some I won't talk about. The last 2 weeks though have just been upsetting, not for personal reasons but because I am a compassionate person. Last week an idiot school bus driver killed 6 babies and injured a whole bunch more, 2 still in critical condition after 11 days. A total jerk with a history of reckless driving and complaints from kids and parents for doing thinks like screaming profanities at the kids and slamming on the breaks and knocking them out of their seats, complaints to the school did nothing, one of the babies said just before the wreck he hollered " are you ready to die". Kindergarteners through 5th grade. Yes he has been charged with 6 counts of vehicular homicide, hopefully that number doesn't grow.
Then if that wasn't bad enough Gatliburg had a terribe firestorm Monday night, so far 1000 homes and businesses gone, 13 people dead and they haven't finished the recovery operation, expect more.
Then Tuesday night we had 5 tornadoes, 5 more dead. The closest was about 20 miles, maybe closer as I am just guessing.
I'm ready for this to stop.
