Just some nasty scars and a couple of chunks they cut off her. Her lungs flooded (ARDS) when it happened. That's why they intubated her and induced the coma. Early on, they didn't think she'd pull through. She came through ok. Just not the same spirit she used to have. Scared to live for fear of dying.
With those types of scenarios some of the worst scars can be the mental sort. I can't imagine what it would be like to go through that. Hell, I wasn't even the one going through it and I can barely talk about it without having a panic attack.

I drank hot cocoa at the hospital every night, last night I decided to have a glass of hot cocoa (bc it's flipping freezing in this place, and I remembered seeing some when I was hiding creamer from myself) as soon as I took the first sip I felt like I was back at the hospital and started getting all emotional.

Pffft... Stupid emotions... making me feel all sorts of things and stuffs... buttheads

It's funny what will trigger those pesky emotions! I reach for the phone at least twice a day with something that reminds me of mom and I want to share it with her. Dad? Not so much. He was such a pain to talk with on the phone that I would just end up driving the 80 miles to have a face to face visit. He just couldn't seem to believe that his hearing aids weren't on or the batteries were dead. He said I needed to speak up. I was YELLING!!! He is with me always and has been gone from this world since 2000. I talk to him a lot and kinda like it better now since I know he can hear me and I don't have to yell.

I think I will go fix a cup of hot chocolate. Sounds good.

Morning Dog! Mumma Saint was touched that she was getting good vibes all the way from Down Under. She truly seems much much better today. She woke up and as soon as I got up to get coffee, she stole my spot to get cuddles from Satie Vae. The real test is to see how quickly after coffee she starts trying to clean. I have been having to yell at her for being too active and not resting. It's kinda like having an adorable sick adult baby.

Stereotypically, isnt it the man who usually has to wait around for the woman to get ready?
So why do I always sit bundled up in my coat and hat, sweating, ready to go while DH farts around for a half hour.
Sigh.

It would be quicker than I expected.
6 to 10 business days for first class or priority. Don't know why they are named as 2 options. I think priority they provide the box. But same time frame to here.

I've had parcels come this far then board a plane again though.

Driver dropped part of his load this morning - blocked a major street for 3 hours. Sent to get a post-accident drug screen as mandated by the DOT, so I guess that's the end of our year-end bonus' . . .. .. :(

On a brighter note we are expecting our 5th grandchild in July! :bunny:

Thanks! My wife found out by "accident". A senior pastor at our church mentioned a "friend" that's been trying for a long time in the message she gave yesterday. Wife thought the details were too coincidental, so she messaged her daughter (she's on staff at the church too) right away.
That's a great way to find out too!

Update on alwaya9988
Surgery went well, she is home and resting on the couch. I am her servant until she fully recovers

Fully recovers?

Hmm, after my wife's shoulder surgery in April, I started putting her hair up in a pony tail every night before bed, because she couldn't raise her arm. Well, she's long since regained full range of motion in her shoulder. And yet, I still to this day put her hair up in a pony tail every night before bed.

Glad she came through it ok and hopes for a speedy, full recovery!

That's very sweet.
As far as I'm concerned, my baby gets what my baby wants.

My step daughter announced that she and her fiancé were gonna try to get pregnant. They are getting married next fall. She said she didn't want to wait till she was 30 to have a baby. She turns 30 in seven months. Didn't have the heart to tell her it was too late.

Lmao poor mathematically challenged peeps. Maybe she forgot when her birthday was. I thought it was usually the year that changed when that happens though, hmm

You can't go and spoil her. That would put pressure on the rest of us to up our game. At least, pick the nanners off.
I'll have Sati help me with that...

She got all the nanners... and some peanut butter... and the bread... I can't find that quarter either... oh well at least Sati will give the quarter back ...eventually
