Embee asked how tall my protea is. Severe lean into the afternoon sun. But hope that gives an idea in reference to the car

Did you know if you slice open that area in your palm between your thumb and index finger it takes 12 stitches to close it back up? It must not happen very often as the ER doc called everyone wearing scrubs to come take a gander. Lidocaine going in hurt a bit. Lidocaine wearing off hurts like sumbiatch. :)
((((Storm)))) So glad to see you!!! I miss your face.

Thank you all for the well wishes. All the knives I use are and kept ridiculously sharp. I was swapping a knife from left to right hand without looking. Right hand took the blade instead of handle and I knew immediately I had knicked skin. Went to sink, spread thumb and index finger to wash it off and could look right inside to see palm muscles, ligaments, tendons and other colorful pieces. Told dearest to get ready for a quick care visit because band-aid wasn't going to fix it. No ligament or tendon damage...thankfully.
I've been keeping up with the family in here.

I'll never forget the time my DH (forester in middle of nowhere) climbed down ladder only to have the drill (not running) he'd left up there fall, drill bit first, and punch a hole in his arm. He did get doc-in-box help in Truckee after 30 mile drive, then, in pain, on painkillers (but he's a GUY) drove down the Sierra Nevada 90 miles to home, whereupon I opened the door to a frickin pale ghost, high and still in shock. Of course he was super late and hadn't called...
Whew

And he throws as many interceptions as he does touch downs. Elway must see something we novices can't.
Yeah, it doesn't look good from his past stats. We don't have a good backup at this point, as far as I know. Losing two QBs this quickly, looks like we need two more to replace them. Between Elway and Kubiak, we have the coaching for a young QB (I would hope anyway).

Good morning all.
I almost had a full night of sleep!! And so far it's been a blood-free morning, though I did walk right into the open microwave door last night and wound up with a little bump on my noggin. I'm a bit accident prone when I don't sleep.

Hi knuckles! It is gorgeous here. Just warm enough but not hot.

I had to get up early and head off to work for a safety meeting, then a loverly visit with mom, sis and granddaughter, back home. I think I have run out of my limited steam and really want a nap. It has been a good day!!! Pain just really started and I enjoyed every minute of being able to walk, stand and not be looking for a place to sit. I am grateful. But still ready for a nap.

I am now ready to celebrate. My computer desk is all clean and the iMac is moved and in it's permanent place, only thing left to do now is order the adapter so I can hook up my second monitor. The best part is I didn't need any help doing it.

I'm also having a pretty good day. Went to storage and got most of what I need to set up my studio and get back to work. I have a bit more to do, and eventually we'll be totally redoing our basement to accommodate all my work needs, but for now, I just needed to set up at least the basics. It's been way too long. So yay!
Did a bunch of other errands and went out to lunch, walked the dog, and now am cooking grandma's chicken and dumplings for supper.
Did I mention that it's beautiful out? I love Spring.

I'm so glad many of you are having a great Saturday!!! You all deserve it.

I on the other hand just want to bite someone's head off........FOR NO REASON! lol I just feel buggered (as Dan would say....lol)

I did mix a big batch of juice (for me)......100 mL of HIC's new Strawberry Crown Cake and 20mL of the Orange-Cardamom Bundt. Can't wait to try the strawberry, but it has to steep a few days.

i do love my vr mod, but every few weeks the silver leaf decides it doesn't want to touch the silver rod anymore, and silver leaf is a prick to convince that it should bend 1mm

no particular other reasons for crappy day

Well, that stinks!

I think mine has to do with a new student arriving Monday from inner-city Philly with a rap-sheet a mile long (oh, he only tried to stab his last teacher before he moved), no TSS accompanying him because administration wants to see "what he is like" which is code for "they don't want to spend the money this late in the year." Testing is coming and my class has been awesome. I promise I'll give this kid a chance, but I just want to scream.........or punch....lol

Apparently st Patrick's day is not a thing in Ireland

I don't think I've acknowledged that day a day in my life. Couldn't even tell you what day it's on tbh. I would have said i think it's in May if someone asked before I read a couple posts here lol (when I read them my brain was questioning whether it was in May).

Morning Dog!

Set the clocks forward last night, so it was still dark when I would normally be heading out to run. Lightening up a bit now, so will hit it soon. Feel like I've hit a wall. Still putting in miles, but not getting further faster. Poor 22!

Do y'all do dst?

yep, ends in april. Not sure on date, but easter always starts the autumn school hols, and dst ends on the last day of the 2 week break
