Nice! Those Nuppins seem to be getting popular are they vaping better than an RM2?

i looked on the other forum a day or two ago and still can't see how to buy them. but I am a little slow sometimes.

i'll look again someday.

Nope - I use rayon, and my juice tastes perfectly clean from the second I rewick! What do you use for wicking - cotton?
I have Rayon in one Rm2, Ready Wick in another. I agree that there is no break in time with the Rayon. The RxW takes about a week to break in and then tastes fine. Both wicks give me great flavor though. I'm changing the Rayon out every 2 days, a dry burn on the RxW every day.

The Nuppin info is buried in the Mod thread somewhere, but you can just pm him for info I guess...V2 is coming out in the next few weeks I believe.

Dual twisted 27 gauge at .4 ohm does give it a bit of an edge over the RM2. This is the first build I put in and it vapes so good I can't bring myself to take it out.

Very nice! I've been using the single coil version of that in an Rm2 and a Cyclone. It's a flavor maker!

Wow i run way cooler than most. I like to be around 1.5-2.ohms. The beauty of building your own coils.

I am going to pop the top off another Smoktech head for the gripper and rewick it with rayon this weekend. It does take a long time to break in the readyx wick but man it last a long time. I don't torch mine, i like to clean it in hot water and it last longer. I hate to break in a new wick!

I forgot that the rayon i was playing with was in an old kanger head a long time ago.

I find if I have to recoil dual coils I just don't use an atty nearly as much. So I stick to single coils, and I'm happy to recoil anytime! Since my lungs don't do very well low subohm, it works out fine. I did buy a cyclone, but quite honestly I can't say the flavor is better than the RM2 - at twice the price. So I'll resist the nuppin for now:p

Well if you ever need RM2 parts I bought a bunch unassembled for about $3.50 each plus shipping. So to pay $50+ for one is crazy. I can see making a profit but there is very little R&D cost. Buy a qty of 100 and make your money back on the 1st one you sell.,,,,,,,,,hmmmmmm.....Don't sit well with me!

later all

They're not $50??? Aren't they around $40? And they're totally modded - not something I'd attempt, so the price doesn't bother me given the resulting flavor:p

I got my Cyclone without the AFC during black friday discount, paid $51 which included shipping and just drilled out (by hand) to 1/16. The flavor between that and the Rm's are just about the same. I really feel the build is the key when dealing with an atty that small...The Cyclone is a rock solid piece of work though, very stout and the delivery ports are a bit nicer than the Rm2, but it lacks a ceramic base...I'm gonna need another Reo before I can even think of a Nuppin :D

Yup, I made the mistake of having my cyclone drilled out to 1/16, and it was just a teeny bit too airy - enough to ruin the flavor. So I had to buy an AFC cap to fix it! And really I find the RM2 just more straightforward. And I agree - it's all about the build - which is simple on those two.

I have a few put together now. If you want to give me your addresses I will ship you each one,,,,,merry Christmas. Tell me what size hole you like. Also if you want the LP ver. or non LP.
Send me a PM

I just asked to ship them unassembled so not to marr them up while modding them. I modded a few on my brothers lathe and it doesn't turn fast enough. The couple i did on my dremel actually look better and less time to finish.
They shipping from china cost me more than the atty's. It takes an hour to do one by hand and cost about $5 with shipping so there is not that much into them to justify the price. But i am a cheap SOB when it comes to that type of thing.......KARMA..!

The silver one that doesnt have a turned down bottom for an LP are about $40. the others he charges $55

There is nothing to these things at all.
FYI;
the pictures on E-Cig forum show the center disk cutout upside down.

I was going to buy a cyclone way back but ended up with a atomic and then bought a clone to mod for a BF. If that atomic had a screw on body like the RM2 it would be perfect.

The atomic's are nice. I agree with you on the screw body for the cyclone. It'd be a 100% improvement! I think I might just take you up on that Christmas present. It'd be cool to see your work! Thanks man...

Don't shot the messneger REO fans;)
I am sure most of you had seen this advertise on Vapor joes for about $38 and now at $50. Claims of another site selling them for $25, damn I missed that!

Well this is about the closest Reo clone I have seen so far. Easlily modded for a bottom feed with the fat daddy screw in unit I mentioned a month or 2 ago.

Either that or leave it alone for dual 18650's. lots of potential here if someone wants to play around. About the same size as the VV Grand to the top of catch cup and about 1/16 bigger on the depth and 1/4" wider. This may make it a little less tippy than hte VV grand?

I will wait for the price to drop below $50 again.

I honestly don't see a difference between yours and a RM2 modded by Rob ... pretty sweet! :)
These are nicer as far as the looks go. I believe the air hole sits just a touch higher as well which is nice because I can get an extra squonk in!!

Thanks for the positive comments....Really glad you like them.

It is my main atty, along with my Smoktech gripper which I am using more with my ADV juice. The RM2 and atomic I use for testing juices. the RM2 is the best on flavor though in my opinion.

I ground the ceramic hole in the bottom side a bit deeper with a daimond impregnated bit on my dremel. So where it meets the center pin it has more room to flow. I did this mainly for my thick juice but it may be the difference you see in pg base?

I was at a funeral/cemetery back in Sept. while waiting for people to show up I must have been a little nerved up......lol. My hand felt a little sticky while talking, as and I looked at my Reo, apparently over squonking. I had a half a bottle of juice all over the mini and my hand with no paper towels around. Luckily I wasn't far from a wash room....lol

Hey guys, im new to REOs mods and the thread. I picked up a couple used REOS this weekend, and have been using one for the last few days. They both came with custom atty's. I wanted to build a little higher ohm dual coil build but it ended up atty .5 The very thin contact goin from battery to 510 looks like a lot of voltage drop happening there, but thats just how it is. I seem to get some misfires, cleaned the contacts up good but every once in a while still get a few mis fires. Is .5 ohm dual coil build ok to run on these mods with those very thin button to 510 bar?

I can't tell from the picture, but do you have the upgraded (gold) contacts? I'd read there was very little voltage drop with these, and I haven't had any problems. If you're running a 0.5 on the old contacts, maybe that's the problem. Also, what batteries are you using?

Yes this one has the gold contacts. Using the Efest purples, 35a 2500 mah.

The other one that I havent used yet has the silver contacts.

The only time I've had misfires was when I hadn't properly cleaned and put Deoxit on the contacts. That seemed to fix the problem - maybe try that if you haven't already? Also, double check the screws on your atty - maybe they worked loose?

I have some Deoxit gold coming in sometime this week. See how that goes.

Deoxit Gold always takes care of my miss fires until its time to re-apply! A little goes a long way!

Are you saying you measured a voltage drop...or it looks like there could be one from the thin material? If so the material is the same that they made points out of in distributor caps fro autos so they can handle the voltage with out a drop.

The picture on the right looks like it has been painted on the inside near the bottom battery spring, maybe just the picture? If it was painted and you measure a voltage drop, make sure that the battery spring has good contact with bare metal via the screw or the bottom of the spring plate.

I'll put the scope on it at work tomorrow. No the inside hasn't been repainted There is a square right under that spring that is bare metal.

And a distributor cap from old ignition systems with that this buss is limited to max 4 amps.

Hope you can sort this out! Oh, and I'm sure you're aware that you can just dump the whole thing in a sink of hot, soapy water. Maybe it's just got some built-up crud somewhere unseen!

Oh yeah peice of cake when I get it to the shop. I've used a couple of Mosfet bottom feeder mods, big difference. I will say the 510 area of the REOs seem pretty rock solid, nice squonking, and no leaking.

The size of the box is excellent too. Very small package. The magnet placement in the box is perfect, so perfect they don't even need a door stop for the fit.

I agree about the deoxit (or noalox). I run my bf RDAs at 0.4 all the time and get a good bit of arching without applying deoxit to the contacts and even use a small bit on both ends of the battery. Makes a huge difference!

Nice looking REO mod too!

You running a .4 on a REOs gold contact @havok333 ? On the older Reos I got with the silver contacts I'll shoot for .8 - 1 ohm build? Whatare your thoughts?

Deoxit is on the way..

Yes, the low ohm builds are running on REOs with the newer gold contacts.

From what I recall reading about the older contacts around 1 ohm would be the safest bet. You can have the older style upgraded if ya want by either sending it back to Rob, or getting the rebuild kit and doing it yourself.

For about a week I even ran a 0.19 ohm build. Drained batteries too quick for my liking though.

I have run .43 ohms with no issues. Upgraded contacts. Deoxit/Noloax will help out. Be aware that those purple Efests are not really 35 amp continuous. I am on my phone and can't pull a link up but I believe they are really a 20 amp rated rewrap. I will do a search a post when I get home in an hour.
