Just go to the reo site new high heat buttons are $5, I also recommend the rebuild kit, it will make your old reo into a whole new vaping experience

I run a .5 ohm 28 gauge parallel as my go to build and I've been vaping on this same build since Christmas, solely on this device ( about 60 ml of juice ) since then and I've had no issue. I really have no idea what the absolute limit would be, it's still just a spring under the battery, Just a more conductive one

I believe that all his rebuild kits are the new gold plated sub ohm contacts

Anyone have advice on giving my Grand a 'haircut' and turning it into an LP? I'm looking for info on how much to shave off, maybe the best way to temporarily seal the 510 off so that shavings don't end up in it etc...
TIA

Think on that as well you have to change the 510 as well if im not mistaken they told me to work on the converted rdas

The height of the raised pad on an lp is 3/16 of an inch measured from the flat top of the box to the bottom of my rda, I don't have a standard grand to measure for comparison to see if the 510 is lower or higher,
How were you planning on cutting it down?

Thanks for that spec. I'm going super old school with a flat file, Reo clamped in a vice as my plan.

Well in that case just file away and stop when you can screw a standard rda down and make it fire, as for keeping the fillings out of the 510 connection I would fill it with ketchup, it's thick enough to keep the fillings out, washes out easy, and the vinegar in it helps to clean the contact surfaces, just expect a lot of file, clean, check, till you get it just right but good luck with it it's definitely a worthwhile upgrade

Ketchup's awesome! That is truly thinking outside the box. I was thinking my kid's play dough as it will wash out with hot water as well...the 3/16th spec will give me a point to mark so I know when I'm about there. I really appreciate your input. My 16 year old just hit me with $333 in driver's ed costs and it's faster than sending it in...:D

Next you'll have to try converting a couple rda's to bottom feed, fair warning though, it gets addictive

Bwahahaha! Yup, I've got a Magma and a Tobh that are awaiting the haircut so I can do the conversion. Clones, so it's affordable if I screw up the first time. I'm tired of paying someone for something I can do mahself!

The magma is one of the easiest to convert, just drill straight through and enjoy, although most of the clones have a longer 510 than other rda's, it's one rda that will work on a standard reo by grinding down the bottom just beneath the airflow control ring until it fits inside the catch cup, I modified one for my sister in law to work on her standard reo mini

Nothing to get excited over. REO Grand LP with a brass slotted door. RM6 and a Odin bottom feeder atty....four bottles.

Of course you got an Odin....LOL From what I hear you'll love it! I would be jealous, but my lungs can't handle lung hits, so I shall live vicariously through your experience:p (I am slightly jelly about the brass s/l door, though;))

Great choices there. I love the Odin. Superb airflow, fairly easy to build on and its a real flavor maker.

Oh they get their share! As do the Nuns of the Franciscan Second Order....and my Fraternity. This is the advantage of not having a significant other.....improved vape budget.

Or a senior in high school with college plans - definitely blows any budget I could have dreamed of:eek:

He and I have been speaking and I have determined what I want as far as design and metal. Still need to figure out what colour of anodising I want.
I have one coming up soon. Titanium, and he's going to get it as deep a blue as he can. Will post pics for ya when it gets here, but I'm probably still three weeks or so out.

Ah...interesting choice of flavors! As you know I'm a huge fan of Five Pawns, but I found them unvapeable in my Reos - maybe too much flavor or some strange undertones that came out?

Ah, I see you have the bottle upgrade, so I'm thinking you didn't get this from Rob?

No, got it in a trade. How low is TOO low as far as resistance....keeping in mind this has gold contacts and sub-ohm kit. I just built a .38. Jay at Five Pawns sent me sample of their entire line for review.

As long as you use lots of Deoxit you'll be fine. There are people that go pretty low, but watch for arcing on the batteries.

You'd have to check out the Reo forum over at ECF to see how low people do go - I can't remember!

Do you have a spare spring in case you collapse the one in the Reo?

I just ordered a tube of Deoxit Gold, and an ultrasonic cleaner for the attys. I wicked and juiced the .38 build and there is no arcing and it is vaping without issues.
I target all my bf builds for 0.4 so you should be fine. The deoxit gold does help a great deal to prevent arcing but I still get it.

One weekend the wife and I stayed in Greensboro and I took a REO with a 0.19 ohm build. Vaped great and no spring sag at all, but it pitted my Sony batteries something fierce. I had forgotten to take my deoxit gold pen!
