I sent a message about 2 that I'm interested in. They're out of stock right now. Do I just wait till Rob gets back to me? Also, How do I gather info on the RDAs that I'll need? I'm tempted to drive up to the shop, since it's in Maine, just to see everything. Is that possible?

Muth-for the woodvils, Rob releases them about once a year and they get gone fast! His next release is slated for February. As for the metal ones, he always has some in stock and if one is out, let him know what you want. He is really good to respond and very helpful. And, if you ever have a problem he is more than willing to help. Rob is top notch in looking after his customers :)

PS-the Woodvils that I have now were snagged in the classifieds on the "other" forum. Thats always an option for those whom miss the sale. You still have to be quick tho ;) I plan on trying for one in the Feb release if my trigger finger is on it's game that day. LOL

Thanks for the information Mommabird, was very very helpful, I am talking to Rob now about options, he's sending me invoice to go over prices and see if it's within my budget

Wonderful! You won't regret it ;) At one time I didn't think that REOs and building were for me. Finally got talked into my first REO and built my first coil- never looked back! LOL I still use my other mods some and have some copper mechs that I really like but the REOs get most of the love;)

And there are always people who snag them in the sale only to turn around and sell them in the classies!

For some reason woodvilles don't fascinate me - perhaps because I'm a messy squonker, and I love being able to dump mine in a bowl of soapy water!!

LOL you do have to be more careful with them but they are tougher than they look. But it is nice to be able to give the ol grands a scrub a dub dub ;) going to do mine tomorrow and freshen them up a bit. With the woodies, I go over them with Howard's Feed n Wax and clean up the contacts.

Just needs an @glassgrl drip tip instead of the metal.

OMG, you must be my brother LOL I just now decided to order one (I got it from VapeNW - slightly cheaper there)! I love squonking, but there are times I just want something to throw in my purse in case of emergency:p

Too funny!

I had bought some A7 RBA's cheaper than I could in the States at pink mule a while back so they sent me a sales flyer, that was even after the VAT tax and shipping. I searched all over the States looking for the faux wood one and could not find anyone so I got tired and just ordered it from Pink mule.

The reviews I saw looked like it hits pretty nice?

i'll have to check out the VapeNW. You will most likley get yours a few days before me.
enjoy;)

Yup I think I'll get mine a bit sooner - and I found a free shipping coupon, so it was $49:D But I didn't order spare coils, because I want the RBA when it comes out - which should be any day now. Oh....they do have the wood one at VapeNW......

I bought a pair of Vicious Ant Cyclone bottom feeder drippers in anticipation of my very near future Grand purchase.

If you live in the states and they charged you VAT...they owe you a refund......they are not allowed to charge VAT as you are not a British taxpayer.

@AmandaD- Yea i just checked out that site....1st time I heard of it. I couldnt believe that price was $20 cheaper than everything I saw last night. I spent about 2 hours searching yesterday. I was kind of torn between the Smok VW Epipe but liked the idea of the egrip.

I did see the RBA somewhere. I don't want to send you on a wild goose chase but it may have been gotvapes? I'll look through my history and let you know if it is not GV.

Thanks you correct..........I thought they charged me but I never did the math. It said EXC. Vat on the invoice so they took it off. There is one other company in the UK that charges me VAT though so it's good to know!

It did cost me a lot more for shipping than i usually pay because of the battery. I had to go through GLS rather than regular Postal Service and that was like $32. oh well......Pinkmule does have a nice selection though.

I saw the RBA discussed here - the site is heaven something or other!

And, even if you're British if you're taking it out of the country for use there you shouldn't be paying VAT!

Aye that......tax on goods purchased and consumed by citizens of the UK, IN the UK.

yea the price is cheap enough. It only has holes in the sides not slots like the heads.
I don't know if it will wick as well with high vg I use?

Didn't take long to hi-jack this thread...lol

Oh, oops LOL I'm pretty sure the flavor will be much better though - I have yet to find an atty that tastes as good as my RM2!

Ahh ....No opps needed....It will give something for others to read:)

Hey Amanda do you use RDX with your RM2? I get good flavor but have to squank every hit. I am pretty sure the hi VG content doesnt seem to keep up wicking as good as a pg base?

I have been playing around for a while and just changed my base again. i am going to run double strands of the 3mm with the coil wrapped directly on the Readyx also.

Do you mean Readywick? I did try it, but could absolutely not thread it through my micro coil, so I gave up. Then I discovered rayon, and I have never tasted my juice so well. Honestly, it's amazing stuff - clean, clean flavor. And, no, VG doesn't squonk as well as a 50/50 mix. I would vape pure VG for the flavor if I could, but my lungs don't agree, so I have had to stick to 50/50 (and in truth I do better on even higher PG).

Hey guys and gals, was wondering how subohm have you built our RDAs and used on a REO? I build pretty low but try to keep the resistance between 0.35 and 0.6 depending on how much airflow the particular RDA has. Just a bit ago I wrapped up some dual parallel coils that measured at 0.19, which was not my intention, but decided to give it a spin anyway just to see how it vapes. I wish I didn't but I absolutely LOVE it! I know I'm within the safety of my batteries but they'll certainly drain faster than I want to keep up with.

Build is 28g dual parallels, 5 wraps, with 1/16th inside diameter on a Zenith v2.5, and heats up pretty much instantly. Usually I'd do 8 wraps but have been trying larger I'd coils for the last few days. Main thing I'm worried about is collapsing the spring which would suck since I don't have a spare yet.

@havok333 - Maybe now would be a good time to order a couple spare springs and back off a few days until they come in???? Good luck

@AmandaD- Yea I had meant readyxwick. I think we had this conversation before when I 1st ordered the VT nick.. I have the same problem with pg as you with vg. I can't go as far as 50/50. 30/70 is about my limit.

I tried 35/65 on my 1st batch of Molinberry base stock and used 10% Distilled water to take down more pg. I could not believe how much better that wick through the RM2! :)

Yeah, obvious time to grab new springs for sure...and I need an aluminum button too for my newest REO.

I haven't looked into a reo mod since 2012. I know that they've put a out a vv version since then. Do they have a VW version? I got a A7 I don't use begging for a bottom feeder mod and some love and tenderness.

Cool website!

Can someone explain what the AFC rings fit that are in the matched sets? I don't do facebook, not sure if its explained somewhere?

Called the Nuppin? I have not been around much am I missing something?.........lol
Nuppin's are a topper that pdib produces on that other forum. Not sure if I can provide a link here or not. Here's a link to his YT on the BF Mods he produces though.
. Very nice pieces of art. $400 and up...there's a list over there too for the mods.

All the VV's are a thing of the past. It's 100% mechanical now so no VW's either.

I have a taste for it. I have no $ for them though

The Nuppin's run $84 base I think. Come with a SS AFC ring and there are additional rings available. I haven't used one but I hear they are great toppers. I'm saving my pennies...

I have been using the
THE CROWN 2.0 BY ARTISAN VAPING

can be seen at RTDvapor.com Look under accessories/ kick&crown

They are thinner than the kick and have an audible command mode with beeps. I love this thing.
I have done a few reviews on it both on the other site and on here somewhere. Works great in my Reo VVcase converted to a mechanical. I also use the vapesafe fuse that came with it so the spring will not colapse if there is a short.

The output of the Crown is regulated by a miniature buck-boost switching power supply which measures and re-calibrates the output 10 times per second. The output produced by the Crown is Direct Current (DC); that is, it is constant, not pulsed and has a 100% duty cycle.

My uderstanding this is the original circuitry that was used in the Evolv DARWIN

check it out

EDIT;
I should mention that it can also be used in the mini 2.1 with a 18350 battery!

@AmandaD - i just got a recorded call from FEdex and that Egrip will be here on Thursday morning! That was fast!

I did have to pay a lot for shipping a battery device overseas! GLS must be a fast delivery service as well that is a sister co. to FEDEX?

Not bad from Spain to the US though. My last order was a few A7 Dark Mule atty's and they came here within a week. Plus cheaper than what I could buy them in the states for.

That's incredibly fast! Mine just shipped today, so you'll probably get yours first :) I've never heard of GLS!

I've been on pdibs list for months & months. I haven't even checked to see how close I am - originally I was projected to be in production around April 2015. Since I never got the hang of/love for my Reo, I've been complacent about keeping on top of things... but still on the list.

@Cessnapix - it's good to see you back.

where is Pdibs list, Facebook? Maybe thats why I lost touch with his project. I don't do facebook.

It's not the type of site a hermit uses:D

TTYL
@AmandaD
GLS is a european carrier like DHL or FEDEX is in the states. They swapped it over to Fedex when it went through US customs so they must work together??? It was only because of the battery thing that I had to do that.

I got messed up bad a year ago from a chinise co trying to sneak an order of Nicitine through the postal service. I lost that package for months and then had to pay again to have it reshipped. I guees every country has different laws.

I originally got on his list on 'that other forum', but told him I wouldn't be following the thread (too much chit-chat, pissing & moaning), so we exchanged emails. I should probably check-in with him. I'm sure there have been lots of updates & improvements since I signed up. He had just released his 2nd batch when I got on the list.

I just checked & heard from Pdib - it looks like summer now - I'm mod #207. There was a time frame set back due to the production of the BF attys. If I was really wanting this, the wait would be discouraging. But that atty is neat looking - looks super easy to build.

@AmandaD - The egrip came in today. Liking it so far. Damn that chucks some vapor. I think I need to wait for the head to break in before I comment about flavor.

I could see myself using this all the time. Anxoius for the RBA for it to come out as well. Even though i don't want to make anymore damn coils....lol

You don't need to jack the VW up that much either. basically the lowest setting is fine for me. But once it is broken in we will see. Lots of vapor,,,,I was getting a head rush from it. the drip tip was nice for metal and no bad taste.

let me know how you like yours

Oooh, so exciting- mine's coming tomorrow!! I do hope though that the flavor is good - that's the bit that always sends me back to my Reos and relegates new toys to the drawer:p

I don't know about you but for myself when I build a new coil, and mainly a wick my RM2 taste like crap for a few days. I shouldnt say like crap but it is very sub-par and discouraging at times until broken in. I would have ditched the RM2 a long time ago and did put it down a few months using an A7.

Just give the heads the same consideration if this happens to you as well!;)

hopefully they will come out with the RBA soon but I am hoping i can use these premade heads. I may sacrafice one anyhow.

YA, ya, ya, I was that kid tearing apart moms electric can opener, toaster etc to see how it worked when I was a kid.

luckily they didn't scold me and saw this as a good thing....lol

Nope - I use rayon, and my juice tastes perfectly clean from the second I rewick! What do you use for wicking - cotton?

After you wick and juice...do an extended pulse whilst blowing the vapour off the coils. Do this until the wick us nearly dry. Re-write then vape normally. Thus speed breaks in the build. Old cloud chaser trick

Hmmmmmm interesting stuff.

I tried rayon back on the other forum. no one could find it and my ex was a hairdresser so I grabbed a bit from her box that she uses to protect peoples face from perms. Anyhow i din't care for it back then. its been a long time though. I was using regular Silica but that needs a breaking in period also.

All i use is Readyx wick now. I do have some of the organic cotton from china and it taste a little better than regular cotton but thats not for me.

Fussy little bastard am I not!;)

Wow 207 still a long wait!

last time i looked you had to supply your own burl wood that you wanted.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Egrip head;

I took one apart; pretty easy. just screw it into a 510 adapter and take pliers and rock the outer top cover off. Same as the old aspire heads. I rewicked that with readyxwick 2 coils and a strand in between. The slots are nice. i use to have to drill holes in the aspire head covers for vg ejuice.

These work well. Now to see if we can't get the taste up a bit. there is no reason why not. These heads are built nice. Just take some breaking in.

i will have to try some rayon again. I don't believe i ever tried it in my RM2.

sorry for posting off topic.
