Yep. But I don't really think it's fair to say that everyone has experienced depression. It's one thing to be sad or blah for a few hours or days. It's quite another to be convinced that your life is useless, worthless, and not worth living, for weeks or months. I've been to the latter several times now, and there's really no comparison to a normal "sadness" -- I've been really sad since my mom died, and I keep wondering when the crying is going to stop, but that's nothing at all like feeling the compulsion to end your life because you can't bear living it another second, and you honestly believe that those around you would be better off without you. That is clinical depression, it's an illness, not a mood. People who think that 'everyone gets depressed' are those who say idiotic things like "cheer up! snap out of it!" to a depressed person. That's identical to saying "snap out of it" to a diabetic in a diabetic coma.

Sucks. Had to bury my best friend this year, he died the day after my birthday last August - he'd have been 34 last Tuesday.

But because I've only been putting in about 25 hours/week for the first two months of the project, can you authorize overtime so I can work 12 hour days for the last two weeks to get the job done on time?

My best friend passed away 7yrs ago in November. I was there when he went. I called mom & dad to tell them he'd gone (they were on there way from Il. to AR to be there) was the toughest shit I've ever had to do. Cheers Dave

That's tough. My other friend (the three of us had been tight since we were 12 years old) got the voicemail on the eve of his wedding, because Rob knew he wouldn't be there to pick up and talk him down like I did a few years prior...no words for how bad I wish he'd have called me again.

I have "wished, and should've, could've" til I can't breathe, on occasions. I know nothing can change what is, I know I'm not as powerful as I'd like to be, but goddamn that shit. Clearly, it still comes and goes, in spells. Sometimes it won't let go for a bit.

I was just explaining to my growing child, the importance of hygiene and using lotion. She got some stretch marks from a growth spurt! WTF?? It must be something different in the food these days... :mad:

Instead of showing her the movie clip again, maybe Ill just play the song in the morning and evening.:p

Holy Crapola! My pharmacist must be in the xmas spirit. He filled my son's adderal 4 days early and insurance paid for it. Yes! I was dreading the refill due to having to work Friday 12 hours with a possible snow storm here in WI.
