He told me once he was in his 70's, gun laws in Canada are insanely strick. I don't anticipate anything bad happening, I'm in no condition for a serious confrontation. I plan on trying to reason with him, maybe he'll get mad and call the police in which case it could work out as I hope since I can show Rainy's conversations as proof he stole from you guys.
Well if you're going to do it, I can get you my conversation with him as well.
I started a case against him on the Vape Court Facebook page too.

In the US, if you could substantiate your claim, there's every possibility that you could get a law enforcement officer to go with you to his house to ask for your stuff back. Perhaps the same could be true there in Canada.
I've done that one time, and with a cop standing there, believe you me, I got no bullshit whatsoever.

I have reached out to the parties involved. The Sith was sold to one guy and he in turn sold it to another guy.
The one guy told me that one of the mods @PaulS sent me a picture of to trade was his.

If Paul has already gotten rid of all the stolen gear, you ain't getting it back. You don't know what he got in trade. For all you know, he could have a 12 Guage shotgun at his place waiting for the first person to give him trouble.

I've gone from disbelief, to abject to seriously pissed off about this - and I have no dog in this fight except my love for fellow vapers here on VU
So I've been speaking to the guy who posted the pic of the (some of them) stolen mods he received from Paul. At first he was saying he would be willing to return them to us, then quickly changed his tune and said "take it up with Paul". It just never ceases to amaze me how cold people can be, but if it happened to them I'm sure they would be singing a different tune.

I was willing to think that something serious must have happened to him, until they found the photos of the gear after it was traded/sold on FB. Even after Paul blocked them on FB I was still thinking that someone else could have been doing that. But this situation now, I swear, only a total fool would justify this to themselves. Times like this, I wish we had the motherfucker in front the whole group of us. Bet we could make him squirm in more ways than one.
If you've never had anything stolen from you, or you've never been assaulted or had an intruder in your home, or you've never been laid off from a job when it wasn't your fault, you don't know the feeling something like this leaves you with. The aftermath of injustice, I'm sure it affects different people in different ways, but it makes me psycho angry. You can get my meaning without my having to say it, I'm sure.
He said the same thing to me but he also said someone would have to reimburse him for the mods and the shipping.
I don't blame him at all, he done nothing wrong. He didn't know the mod were not paid for.
And like us, he had been dealing with Paul for years now and never had an issue.

That shit reminds me of places where I took some of my artwork to sell on consignment. When I would go back a month later, all my stuff was gone, and I wanted to get paid, only to have the managers tell me to leave before they called the police.
Only a few places were run by honest folks. Most were run by thieves. You just can't trust most folks these days.
Sell your gear and use payment methods such as PayPal or cashapp. If the other party says they don't trust those methods, don't trust that other party. There is good reason shippers don't do C.O.D. anymore.

Damn. I've been MIA for awhile now. Looks like shit has been getting real here. I'm sorry to hear about all of this and after reading up on everything I think I will leave it at that as anything I would have said has already been addressed. So sorry guys.

Paul contacted me today saying that he's been out of the Province dealing with a sick family member. Some of his gear was sold to cover expenses but he wants to make things right. He's asked me to stop by and pick up gear to send to the two members here that trade agreements were made with. I'll be going in a couple of days

Yep he messaged me too. None of that changes the fact he blatantly scammed us, blocked both of us on Facebook, proceeded to taunt us saying "come get your stuff" when I messaged the guy who ended up receiving some of the stolen mods in a trade from Paul, this was intentional.Update:

Something else that should be said here, everyone knows Gadget is a great guy. My first post on this forum was a mech question that he replied to, my first hardware post shortly after was something he traded with me on when I had no reputation yet. There are 100's of other examples of him being one of the best. My point here is that I've recently had the pleasure of speaking to him by phone a couple of times and he really is a genuine person. I enjoyed talking to you @gadget and I hope that nobody does this to you again.
Well the feeling is mutual my friend, it's always been a pleasure dealing with you.
And on a side note, regardless of the reason, this mess can be put to bed as far as I'm concerned.
