Side effects?

I've not known any one personally who has had adverse reactions to vaping so I am at a loss here. Every one on forums talks about a slew of different negative effects and when something like PG vs. VG is talked about there a just as many who say it can't be that to those who think that could be the problem. Anyway...I finally got off my 2.5 pack a day habit with a vape using 12mg nicotine. It was great, I felt great and didn't feel the need for a cigarette. But after a few days sleeping became harder to the point that in the evening I would break into terrible chills and a splitting headache, once in bed I would wake drenched in sweat, extremely sore, and not able to sleep for more than 20-30 minutes at a time, and spend most of the morning in a "hung over" fog. Thought it was nicotine withdrawal but after a week and a half I went to doctor. As expected she flipped shit about vaping, you'd think I was inhaling MEK. I took that with a grain of salt but I did consider maybe 12mg was waaay too much so I stopped for a day. Virtually all of the symptoms went away that night. I decided to go to 3mg (same brand) and the symptoms started to come back after two days. I really don't want to have to use a stupid gum or patch, or whatever because those just don't help. Could it be a PG thing (the stuff I have is a mix of PG/VG) or is there other things indicative to a specific brand or something?

You could be one of the people (rare) who is sensitive to either PG or VG. It's possible (but unlikely) it's the flavorings. I'd try a different brand and see what happens. Try to get max VG, while recognizing max VG can still be 20% PG. For max PG I know that Halo brand uses high PG (again, you may bave 20% VG in that).

Good luck - I hope you can get to the bottom of the problem.

I've heard that the nicotine itself can cause problems with sleeping feeling groggy(foggy) in the morning in the beginning because it's not the same as cigarettes nicotine, I had problems sleeping the first month or so and that's how I found out about it, the other symptoms I'm not sure but could be related hope this helps

I never slept well, but I had really wierd dreams when switching to vape. Very vivid, and always had somebody smoking, which I never really dreamed about when on the analogs.

You didn't mention what equipment you are using. 3mg could be a lot of nicotine if you a running it in a monster rig. My auntie mentioned similar effects from quitting using patches, apparently she was getting far too much nicotine, they are designed for an average sized adult male, and she is tiny. The doc said she should cut them in half.

Try diluting your liquid with VG. I just put it in an empty liquid bottle then squirt a bit into tank, untill it feels right.

For me it helps to use a weaker liquid at near bed time, and keep a paper cig or a very strong vape within arms reach. I almost never use it, but knowing it is there if I get the urge stops me worrying about it.

It might be worth trying to stick to vape during the day, but having a paper cig at bed time. I have found the less you worry about smoking, the easier it is to stop. If you need one cig to stop you smoking ten, thats nine you didn't smoke. Not perfect, but it's a good start.

Just to throw another spanner in the works i was a heavy joint smoker 15+ a day thats not including normal cigarettes,Smoking Cessation said that amout of joints a day was the equivalent of 60 cigarettes a day without normal cigarettes so when i first started using ecigs i wasn't getting any positive effects at all so so i just thought fook that & went back to smoking as i was before.

Now when i go into hospital which i have spent a hell of alot time since breaking my neck in 98'!
Even though i was in hospital i could just get my bed dragged outside & have a joint or cigarette i didn't feel right smoking a joint i felt uncomfortable not paranoid just not in the right surroundings so i just smoked normal cigarettes up untill the beginning of this year.
I never had any negative effects just stopping smoking joints whenever i did get admitted into hospital.

I had a chest infection for 6 weeks normally a week of antibiotics used to do the trick but this was totally different anyway through a sputum sample i learnt i had Pseudomonas i also had a hole in the top of my leg which you could fit your fist in.
Anyway i ended up in hospital & nearly ended up in ICU my SATS between 60 & 80 not good so i ended up getting a Vype E-pen https://uk.govype.com/epen-starter-kit i was never a good sleeper but the more i used it the less sleep i had!

Now i'm still awake at 4am sometimes even later or earlier depends which way you want to look at it,i don't know whether its anything to do with whats in the liquid whether it's to much PG or VG but there's definitely something in it IMH anyway.

I'm on an absolutely ridiculous amount of sleeping tablets as were 75mg amitriptyline,10mg nitrazepam,2mg lorazepam & 45mg mirtazapine & still have to force myself to sleep,i would like to find out if it is something in the ingredients myself so if anybody finds out please let me know!

I don't have any reply other than you will get your better feeling back. I felt like shit for 2 months after I stopped Cigars, cigarettes and stuck with vaping. When a Doctor looks you Eyeball to Eyeball & says, you may not make it another 24 hours If you continue to smoke. You get the idea.
