For me it was joint stiffness and headache - bought a few bottles of zero nic - cut my existing juice with it - and in a day was doing fine...
I'd almost suggest to a newbie a zero nic tank and a second tank with nic - one allows you to enjoy your new habit/hobby, the other (with nic) takes the edge off and keeps you away from those things people put a flame too - what were they called - OH YEAH - 6-10 bucks a PACK - cigarettes...

I agree. I started with 24mg and regretted it. I almost quit vaping because it was too much for me. I settled in around 12mg and am a happy non-analog vapor. I would recommend start with a bottle of 6mg and 12mg and see how they work. Juice is fairly cheap and you can always mix it later.

Here's a link to EP Monthly, a journal for emergency physicians, with an analytical review of the risks related to liquid nicotine poisoning. While technical, and boring, it highlights the risks in handling of liquid nic, especially risks to children. And, yes, every bottle of ejuice I've ever had came with a childproof cap. So just to be safe, if you have kids, or grandkids, be careful about how and where you store your juice. And if you DIY be especially careful about storing your supplies and wear surgical gloves when handling nic.

http://www.epmonthly.com/www.epmonthly.com/departments/subspecialties/toxicology/toxic-liquid-nicotine-and-the-dangers-of-e-cigarettes/?utm_source=July 2 Ezine&utm_campaign=EPM July 2 2014&utm_medium=email

The money shot: “Liquid nicotine is readily absorbed through the skin, a risk not found with other tobacco products that require ingestion or inhalation. Lack of childproof containers, along with colorful packaging and flavorings, makes them prime targets for exploratory toddlers.”

It's changed over time for me. At first, I got nervous and jittery, but now I get a little dizzy and that general feeling of over-medication (sorry, not really sure how to put it to words).

I vape 30mg religiously. I must be a fiend. It might be the 2 and a half pack of cigarettes I smoked a day for 30+ years. That being said, I do plan on lowering the nicotine a little bit at a time. I don't know how many times I've said that to myself but that's the plan. What is too much and is it dependent on the individual? I hear 60mg will kill you and 40+mg will get you real sick. I do have some juice made at 24mg because it tastes better with less nicotine and more flavor.

Atomic Cinnocide is my poison of choice. Blueberry cheesecake is another one. I've tried to get that cigarette flavor and came close with RY4 mixed with vanilla or caramel. I tried graham cracker with excellent results as well as adding small amounts of cherry.

How nicotine affects you seems to entirely depend on your own physiology. 60 mg won't kill you - you'll barf before you can get that much poisoning LOL (That's assuming you're a normal healthy adult). I smoked a pack a day for 40 years, but recently I accidentally was testing a mix made by someone else and was turning green - turns out it was 24mg, and I vape max of 12, usually 6. I made a 48mg mix for someone having a nic fit once (she smoked less than me), and it was perfect for her. I couldn't even get it near my mouth to test it LOL

After vaping a lot all day, i'll get random pains in my bones, heartburn/indigestion, jittery, nervousness, twitches in my face etc.etc. and i only vape 6mg...i have thought about slowing down but honestly sucking on my vape all day long is the thing that gets me through the dang day xD

I started at 30mg as well, and am currently down to 12mg and have suffered most of all those signs when I was vaping 32mg and 30mg juice.

After 33 yrs of smoking and being a 2+ pack a day smoker of reds, I started at 18 mg. The ecig became like a baby's binky as I wasnt satisfied and chain vaped constantly. I quickly moved up to 24 mg and that was a major improvement. As my objective was and has always been to quit smoking (mission accomplished), and has never been to quit nic, I've found no good reason, for me, to drop nic. Still dont. Others have their reasons for dropping nic, but those are their reasons. If I was intending to quit vaping at some point, I'd drop here and there to wean myself down and eventually off, but I have no intention of quitting vaping. 24 mg is the perfect spot for me in a clearo to this day. I do though, vape 6 mg when I drip. Going much higher when sub-ohming gives me headaches...

was at 24 when i had my Nautilus aspire and vision spinner.

moved up to mods with high builds, now i can't take 24.

my shop has these Drip sauces from Straightline that come in 3, 6 and 9.
and i find that 6 and 9 are perfect for chain clouders.

Ive had Extreme anxiety, Depression, Panic attacks, Increased blood pressure and high pulse rates (inability to calm the f down, I.E. irritation, aggression) Heart palpitations, Dizziness.
But I also had them just smoking a pack a day for 20+yrs.
Im in my second month vaping, 1 month with out analogs. For work I use a ego clearo with 24 menthol, keeps me running, and when home, I almost chain 18mg Black cherry or key lime. I do sleep a lot better lately, and the symptoms are wainning, so I may switch down to 18 at work, 12 at home With my kanger v2 mini. So far loving this cheap little kanger.

I was a 2 pack a day man for 20+ years and started at 24nic. Moving along, I have been vaping for 4 years and mixing for the last 3 years. I got the kayfun and after 3 to 4 puffs I could tell I was getting too much nic and cut it by 12. Then I read the instructions and they recommend cutting back your nic by half (Really) any way moving along I vaped 12 for a week or so and couldn't tell the difference so i said I will try 6 nic and for a week or so....no noticeable change. So I cut it once again by half and have been vaping 3 for months. Moral to my long post, IMHO if you have vaped for long enough try cutting back your nic intake and I bet a nickel you won't notice with a kayfun and surly other rba's the difference. My 2 cents, spend them wisely.

Does it count if it's not from vaping lol like I already have depression anxiety insomnia panic attacks sometimes increased blood pressure mostly from work or my boyfriend. In all seriousness though I started at 12mg of nicotine I know that doesnt sound high but i keep stepping down because it ruins the flavor and makes me cough like I'm going to blow a lung

Start using an RDA you will cut very quickly I also was a 30 year smoker same as you I started at 32mg and tRBA's I usually just use 6mg if its a lower than .8 ohm coil for anything over 1,o ohm I still vape 18mg but that is starting to diminish as well

I posted in an anxiety thread the other day on here. My anxiety has skyrocketed the past month since I quit smoking. I did start with all 24s and 18s and it was much easier for me to quit. However the anxiety did become an issue. A lot of it was work related, and also from my wife being pregnant again after losing our first child in April. I ended up going the medication route. Klonopin along with my other medications seems to help. My sister advised me to take 3 a day until it subsides and then quit. I have no desire to smoke again. I switched to rollies (spirit and drum) a month before I started vaping and definitely got a buzz rolling finger sized spirits when I woke up. Typically numb hands and head, until I got my coffee and hit the throne.

I think I do need a zero nic tank cause I'm kinda headachy but I just love to vape. I was up to about 2 packs of reds a day. Started with 18mg but dropped to 12. Still dealing with second hand analog intake too. Am not sure if that 's what's causing the tired headache feeling or to much vaping. I'm only about 5 days into this so it could be a lot of different things!

There are thousands of chemicals your body will be needing to 'rebalance' itself from

Homeostasis takes a while, but after a few weeks you should be fine. After that you will enter the 'purge phase' Where your body can finally detox all the deposits it 'stored for later' since you are no longer giving it a constant dose of toxic chemicals.

Not impossible, but also not that likely that headaches are a cause of too much nic.

Unlike other benzos, Klonopin (Clonazepam) has a long half life; it is designed to be taken twice a day. The initial dose for adults with panic disorder is 0.25 mg bid (twice a day). An increase to the target dose for most patients of 1 mg/day may be made after 3 days. The recommended dose of 1 mg/day (taken in two doses) is based on the results from a fixed dose study in which the optimal effect was seen at 1 mg/day. Higher doses of 2, 3 and 4 mg/day in that study were less effective than the 1 mg/day dose and were associated with more adverse effects.

Mine is .5. I haven't slept in 4 days but the anxiety is gone. Have quit Ultram after 3 years of solid use and smoking completely in the past 2 months. Still taking 20-40mg Hydrocodone. Also switched my Neurontin from 3x a day to 3 at once before bed. Oh, that was because I forget to take meds at night. Maybe that's why I've been up for 4 days?
I tore my Lis Franc ligament off of my left foot 3 years ago and shattered some other bones. Bad foot leads to bad back leads to how can I make it better? Expecting children the past two years so afraid to get any more surgeries until I know how to be a dad.
But at least I won't be smoking!

I haven't remembered to take 3 except the first 3 days I got them. Between 1-2 or just one the past 22 days. My vaping is very inconsistent as well. I think that's a good thing. I read in studies (family are all RNs) posted last year about uneven draws on some products.
I tell everyone to get as much nicotine as you need and then you will just forget about it.
I know vaping can't be legally advertised as a cessation tool until the FDA takes over but the anecdotal evidence among older 20 year vets sounds great! Spread the word!

I know this may sound strange as I have been using e liquid for the past 2 years consistently, however I kind of made myself believe that it was so much better for you therefore I could do it when I wanted and for how long I wanted. I was a 20 a day Cigarette smoker , yes I had coughing issues however it was the thought that I may get cancer that turned me to the e liquid. I would quite happily puff away all day and not think much to it cause it never went out and I really enjoyed the menthol taste.... until 2 weeks ago..... my hear rate was erratic and my pulse beats were well over 160 per Min with the occasional stopping causing me to think I was going to have a heart attack..( this was resting rate may I add). If I walked to the shops I felt like I was going to faint, the pounding in my throat from the palpitations was unreal. I also had really bad shoulder pain. I went to see my G.P as I was quite scarred due to not wanting to die at the age of 40! straight away he took it off me and asked me to return in a week. OK the week I didn't have the vape was horrendous, I went through my fridge like a PAC man and I am sure my shoes are tighter, however yes he was right!!! I was over dosing on nicotine and if I didn't stop when I did I was heading for a stroke!! the pain in my shoulder was due to the strain that my heart was under which I would never have connected the two together ..
I am addicted to nicotine so of course I still use it however I now have one puff when I feel the need to rather than keep it in my hand 24/7.
I am not saying don't smoke them however once upon a time I would take down anyone who told me that my e cig was harmful ( I knew best after all). The truth of the matter was that I was killing myself and rather than a slow death it could of been fairly quick.
There really not as good for you as I once believed they were..
My heart rate is now 100 beats per Min which means i have slight damage however it was caught in time!!

When I first tried vaping about 3 years ago, I used 11mg juice. I went back to cigarettes, then about a year later vaped again with 16mg juice. I went back to cigarettes. Most recently (2 months ago) I just happened to have some 0mg juice and some 21mg patches. A lightbulb went off: "If I regulate my nicotine with the patch and then vape this juice just to be puffing..." Well, it worked. I went from 21mg patches to 14mg patches to 7mg patches and now I'm done with nicotine. I vape purely for flavor and sensation.

Had that happen to me when I first got an RDA. Put 12mg juice on the wick and went to town on it. 10 minutes of chain vaping later I realized my mistake haha. Happened again once when I was mixing my juice, forgot to turn ventilation on while mixing a large batch, and ended up sick.

Well, that was March 10...maybe I pulled my 7mg patch too soon (I had planned to do 7mg for at least a month) but I went back to the smokes. Now I am smoking in the morning and vaping nicotine juice in the evening. I'm trying to find the great Vape that makes smoking obsolete. But really, I think my patches plus zero or very low nicotine will be the strategy I return to eventually.

I started out with 24mg nic in a kanger protank, and now I am down to 3mg in a dripper, however I chain vape so much because i drive a truck for a living that yesterday morning I woke up with a really intense migraine. I think it's time to cut down to 1.5mg nic :) at least I DIY so if I want to make 0.97283mg nic, i can do it.
