So little discussion of Yihi SxMini M class and other boards like SX350???

question folks...
with the sx mini m class...lets say you replace the occ nickel head in your kanger subtank...its 10:00 pm and 59 degrees in the basement room were you leave the battery mod and tank until 5:00am the next morning...plenty of time for a temperature stabilization to occur...lets say for sake of argument, when you set the baseline resistance its .121 ohms... you now place the battery and tank in your breast pocket, drive to work, put in a couple of hours working with the mod and tank still in your breast pocket, exposed to body temperature for , say, 2 hrs, before you take a break for a vape...the baseline you set first thing in the morning is no longer the baseline due to being next to your body and being exposed to 98.6 degrees for several hrs... you should reset the baseline resistance for its current state...correct?
or is setting the initial room temperature baseline all that is required for vaping at a miriad of air temperatures throughout the day...
and, what is room temperature...55 degrees, 68 degrees, 75 degrees? i for one, dont vape in the same room all day/night...
i am terrible at trying to convey what i mean...hopefully someone understands what i am asking and can answer my question...thanks...
You only need to set once with each atty. The purpose of it is to get an accurate reading when they are both at the same temp. You just couldn't take an atty that is, for example, in your office, and then put it on your sx without having them adjust to the same ambient temp for a bit

you only have to set the resistance one time with each coil on a tank, so if you get a new coil in the same tank you would need to set the resistance again. or if you change to a different tank and then go back to the original you would need to set the baseline resistance each time. you set the resistance by holding the up and down at the same time. it doesn't work like a dna40 where it can change throughout the day. room tempature they say cause they don't want the coil & tank to be hot when you set it. nickel wire changes resistance as it's heated then lowers when cooled thats how the board detects what the temp in the coil is based off of that. hope this helps

I may have to get one of those because I'm not super happy with the jwrap. The edges are sharp
yea for a few bucks you can't go wrong. will post pics of the clear when it gets here.

Did you get a replacement because of the paint, or for another reason? I emailed eciggity but haven't received a response. In just one day now, the paint has flaked off on half of it
I worked out a trade... I wasn't having any finish issues though. The gray one has one small scrape from my dumbass putting it in the center console of my truck and not paying attention. Other than that they are/were perfect. The new black finish is totally different though and really nice to hold.

It only needs to be paired once. Once its paired they travel together and it knows.... I'm convinced its the aliens.
Once you set the baseline resistance you don't need to reset unless something has changed the resistance like a loose screw holding the coil wire or something like that. Just a change in ambient temp won't matter, it can still calculated the temp correctly based on the initial baseline.
thank you both for your answers

I bet they read our comments about the paint scraping off then flaking and made the paint or finish better. YiHi actually gives a shit about their products and listenens to us.

Im wondering if yihi would warranty this, and if so, how you even go about that

From what I understand they either changed the finish altogether or they had something wrong with paint prep on the Initial batch.
But I do know yihi told their 'authorized' vendors to honor the warranty and swap the units out, no questions asked and forward the ones with issues back to yihi.
Who is an authorized dealer and who is buying From one and reselling them is anyone's guess.
I know a shop here bought several from yeti to resell and is honoring the warranty through yeti...

The scrape?
They would.. If I were so inclined. Just see my previous post. ^^^
But honestly there are no wear marks and its the one im using for out and about. Now I wont be as pissed when I drop it. Lol. Or eventually maybe ill just get it cerokoted down the road.
So long as my stealth version stays unmarked im good. No matter how bad it gets scuffed it'll never get as worn looking as one my vaporsharks did.
That all black with silver buttons is just beautiful and perfect for a nice night out. That one I want staying like it looks right now

No, I meant mine. The paint is just rubbing off as I hold it. This thing is only 2 1/2 weeks old and the paint is just coming off by the minute. It started yesterday and since then you can see every spot my fingers and palm sit. I have no idea about how to even make a warranty claim with them, theres nothing on their website

Great, Eciggity isn't answering my email and they don't even have any in stock. The only B&M that sells them by me is vapor shark and I highly doubt they will honor the warranty on a device that I bought from a different vendor

Well, like I said, they told the authorized vendors to do so
Have you emailed yihi?
I know they normally take 24-48 hours to get back, but it sounds like it might be worth it.

They don't have a published phone number. Just always seemed a little shady to me.

I've ordered a lot from them in the past and never had an issue. In fact when I bought my freakshow mini, none of my drip tips fit in it and they gave me my money back. I wanted to buy it local but every single place was sold out and every other online vendor I've ever dealt with was too.

That was my last order with them though, felt like I got screwed on shipping. I paid $20 for express shipping. They mailed in on a Thursday and I didn't get it till the following Wednesday. They sent it via express 2 day, and that service with usps doesn't ship on weekends and I had to be home to sign for it. For $5.50, I could have ordered priority and I would have received it on Monday or Tuesday at the latest and wouldn't have had to sign for it. Every time I ever ordered priority from them, I got in in 3 days.

Live and learn, that was my last order from them because of that.

They do, I find that funny too. I live in south Florida and there are 5 vapor shark locations within 15 miles of my house. Their website is sold out, but all of the b&m have them. Of course, they didn't start selling them until the week after I bought mine. I wish I would have bought it from them because they've been awesome with warranty work on my rdna. They changed it out 3 times, once for the screen glitch, once to give me the the new board with the atty lock and then on Monday because when I got it back, the battery dropped to 1.8v

Roger that dude, was just curious. I learned to never buy from a company I can't speak to after my dealing with provape. If you don't value your customers enough to talk to them, you don't get my money.

Yeah, I agree. I never realized they didn't have a phone number until after about my 6th order with them and by then, they had proven themselves to be on the up and up, until I ordered the sx that is.

I don't like that about provape either. When I bought my first provari, there was a phone number floating around and I used it, but since then, they have no way to contact them but email. I had several problems with my p3 and it was a nightmare emailing with them. Everything took days to respond and I had to send it in to them twice. I'm still not even sure if they fixed it because I haven't even tried to use it since I got my dna40. It came back to me, I opened it up and never even took a vape on it. Just sitting in the box collecting dust. Talk about a waste of money

I was using dna30s and mechs when they released that colossal failure of a mod. Some jackass told me back when the betas went out that I should buy one, because they can just update it. When I told him the lowest I vape was 25w, he told me they were going to make it a 30w mod and I should trust them...... Hope that worked out swell for him.
As of right now, this mod is what a p3 should have been. Barring the finish issues some are having. (which from where I sit appears to be being handled, at least yihi is )

I got my jwrap today and I'm not super happy with it. The wrap is so thick and cut to perfect size, that the edges are now sharp where yihi round them off. I suggest setting it back just a touch behind the start of the paint
I am experiencing the same with my jwrap. It needs to be a touch smaller

Vince at Eciggity is anything but shady. I have ordered from them many times. In fact I would have been Screwed with my ipv mini2 return to Asmodus if not for him going out of his way to find my old sale receipt and emailing it to me. He always returns emails with in a day.

does this device stop firing if it detects a dry coil?

i thought it simply kept the temp in check, but you could dry fire away if desired...?

I'm not saying he is or he isn't. I have never done business with the company nor him. But I refuse to business with any company that wont speak to its customers. That appears shady to me, indeed, and it may not be the case. The bottom line though- To me- not having a phone in 2015 speaks volumes. Especially when their are other options to do business with.

The sx mini will stop firing if it detects a dry coil. It doesn't happen that often. It will, on the other hand, attempt to keep the temp in check with a wet coil. These are two separate functions with the sxmini.

So if I set my temp to 380 degrees, it will attempt to keep it there by adjusting power. When it detects a dry coil, it will stop firing completely and give me a dry coil warning

It was! I'm convinced of it. It far surpasses human technology.
Unless they derived it from the same place that they reverse engineered the silicon chips that ET forgot at Elliots house.

I went with the free shipping from Coval and it arrived in two days and also required signature and of course I missed it and had to wait until the next day to pick it up at the local post office. Eciggity being in Hawaii adds time to your order but when I chose Eciggity's free shipping before I received in three days, so it sounds like the usps also played a hand in dropping the ball.

My issues with no phone contact for a vendor are two fold...
1) what or who are you hiding from?
2) from experience.
Trying to keep the story short.
A fairly new provari I had ended up with a cracked screen. I asked them for number and 24 hours later was told they don't have one, so I advised them of the situation and they responded 24 hours later with a question. I answered the question and 24 hours later they asked another one, which I answered, only to be asked another question 24 hours after that. You can see the pattern, that went on for 10days and could have been resolved in 2 minutes with a phone call. Granted they fixed the mod which is a whole seperate story, but still kt set a precedence for me. And im an impatient fucker, especially when someone has my money.

Go to vapinart, varitube or yeti.
Mine were both purchased through local shop and he went through yeti for his stock and vapinart for the black/black.
Both vendors are working with him on the warranty returns. Varitbe I can't speak to with first hand experience but I know they are the main us dealer for yihi. Everyone is selling them for the same price so its not like there's an advantage there, its gonna come down to easy to work with; and, I know yeti in particular has been great. Originally my buddy ordered himself and I the gold frame and 12 additional ones for stock. Yeti called and told him it would be a few weeks on the gold and asked if he wanted to sub for a different color, which is how we got the original black. That little extra step is just cool.

Yeah, when i was looking to jump in late (after catching the immediate round of glowing in-hand reviews) on the initial stocks of the SX Mini M Class, Eciggity was the only site i was already familiar with that still had a stock of the silver/black. Looked to give them a quick call, found no phone #, and quickly crossed them off the potential list due to the same concerns you stated.

It's one thing if i'm spending $20-30 on DIY flavoring or something like a cheap and on sale Kbox. If i'm dropping $200 on a higher end item, i expect a vendor to at least have a phone #.

since I lurkalot here is my post..
mine arrived april 4... I bought this setup sxmini and goblin rta as a solution to my problem of breaking ego type batteries and a various assortment of tanks. it has preformed flawlessly for me even after several run ins with the concrete and exposure to various conditions mostly those found on construction sites also various refrigeration oils my hands might get exposed too. if you treat yous like a Ferrari mine gets treated like I stole it... but in reality I pre ordered mine from varitube and they were good at getting it to me quickly I registered mine 6 days after it left the factory. for whatever its worth I would recommended it... Can you tell me how you set up your goblin? ie dual nickel coils.. which I can't see fitting onto that little build deck or are you just running the goblin with kanthal?
Cheers!

I would love to know that too. I was thinking about getting a billow 2 or a Goliath but I know those decks are really small and you need to run dual coil on them.

nickel goliath.jpg I have a goliath dual nickel 28 awg dual @ .09 ohms. Will take a pic when I get home. Works sweet !!

dual 28g 8-10 wraps 1.5mm diameter its my regular build and usually .065 I check my resistance multiple times since its so tight and any drop in resistance means the coil is touching a post or a wall... I make the lower leg of the coil the far or negative post and bend a dog leg in it to keep coil close to post and away from the chimney wall...

If anyone was looking for a silver/pink SX M, Vaporshark has 20% off everything using the code MEMORIAL which would make it 159.99 Normally SX's are excluded in codes but they advertise everything online will be 20% off with the code 5/23-5/25 . I couldn't test the code because the sale does not start yet but a SX M for 160.00 would be a sweet deal, but they only show pink in stock lol.
