That's a good point on toothpaste...I never thought it the titanium as a issue, but I had to search high and low for a fluoride-free one that didn't smell or taste like hippie-sweat--- but the stuff I have doesn't have titanium dioxide in it either. Funny, though, Ever since switching to the fluoride/Tittyanium free stuff, I have not had a single flare up from my gums :)
I use baking soda, don't know what's in it other than sodium bicarbonate but its nice and bubbly feeling,

Hope you get to the bottom of the breakouts. Don't sound like fun!, and hope you find that it doesn't involve you having to abandon TC, as it's a nice tool to have vaping.

Yeah, i plan to stick with TC if at all possible. Feeling skeptical about the nickel i had put an order in last Sunday for an Evic-VT, to give me the option of going the Ti route. Although according to USPS tracking it hasn't gotten beyond the "Shipping Label Created" stage though. 5+ days latter. Yay. Serves me right for straying from my preferred vendors i guess.

I know it's a technical possibility that Yihi firmware updates my SX for Ti......but i'm pretty skeptical they do that instead of going for the cash grab with a new device. Seems to be the market atm. Sucks, i was one of the few i see that actually preferred working with nickel over kanthal, and this is by far the most satisfied i've ever been with a device (and i've owned pretty much everything)

You can use TI with an ni200 tuned tc mod. your temps will be off though by about double
In other words you're basically vaping by feel, but you'll still get it regulated if that makes sense

All joking, and all hostility aside, I'll use what I feel comfortable with, and everybody else can use what they want.

Right now, the jury is out on all wire.. Is aluminum and iron oxides any better for you than inert nickel? Or titanium alloys (I can't seem to find what other metals are in Ti alloys)? How about the chromium in NiCr? Until there is scientific research done on these wires under the conditions they see when vaping, do any of us really know?

Not trying to dissuade anyone from using any coil material. I encourage folks to do their own research and do what they believe is right for them. For me, seeing a major supplier who could make a fuck-ton selling Ti wire, to make this bold statement is enough for me to wait a little longer before I give Tittyanium a try :).

http://www.stealthvape.co.uk/titanium_wires_for_vaping

at the end of this they say "vapers should avoid such products"

then right after that they say "Stealthvape are not saying ‘do not use titanium wire".

meh

Idk, been reading conflicting reports on this. Granted i haven't finished researching enough to form my own speculative conclusion.

Yeah, i sold my Vaporshark before i got stuck with a just-waiting-to-happen glitchy screen though, and not seeing many people singing Ti's praises in relationship to firsthand SX mini use.

My issue with it was the flavor and color change, it did work with tc though. (it turned blue)
And I've tried it at a shop with someone else who swore by the stuff and something me made me taste monkey balls.

Again though if your goal is tc it does work, but allot of people claim a funky taste from Nichrome and I don't get a funky taste with that at all.

That and I do like nickel, kinda figure I fought the learning curve and really enjoy the vale from it

I recently switched to NiChrome and it improved all aspects of my vape with no off taste and one big benefit, my builds don't gunk up nearly as fast lasting way longer than Kanthal, next up will be the Ti...I hear good things.

That's just it right there dude, you don't want someone passing false information, but, in the same breath you don't have any hard facts or scientific studies to support the inhalation of it,

None of us do on any of this stuff. So, to say hard fact that it is safe or it isn't neither way are completely scientifically supported arguments. all we have are anecdotes.
I never said it was safe. I said it probably was safer because of the material properties. It's a very inert metal. Sure a future study can find out something nasty but personally and completely from a subjective point of view, I'm more concerned vaping on a metal that is responsible for a big share of allergies and reactions than a metal used to screw bones together. It's just my personal feeling about it.

Vape what you like best. I can feel the taste of kanthal. Not so with titanium.

Makes sense. I always said that the people who said that nichrome had an off taste compared to Kanthal A1 had it backwards-- it is the lack of taste that they are experiencing. Iron and aluminum are both metals that can impart a distinct taste to things they are in contact with

Does any of that even matter? Since 99% of the equipment is made in China anyway, I'm sure it all contains lead. ;)

Well I don't care about the mod having lead but I do care about my wire having lead

Not the mod, but the tank. The rba base, drip tip, etc.... Especially colored ones. We're all doomed. LOL.
Just read an article about the oldest living woman. 116 years old next week. Her secret... Eating bacon & eggs every single morning! ;)

My grand grand father died at 98, smoked until the last day (put his bed on fire twice) and drank, every morning, a shot of isopropyl alcohol (yes, the stuff that makes you blind and kills you).

Cause of death: family was worried about his age and risk factors so gave him the flue vaccine... Killed him in less than a week.

Point is... They don't make people like in the good old days...

Now I may be motivated to update, I hear Ti wire is a little stiffer and easier to work with than nickel?
Gonna have to look into this

Gotta love having a mod that stays on top of the tech curve! Not a fan of the TI, but 75w really puts it at ideal for me. Plenty of power for my RDAs

I have zero regrets in paying $200 for mine its a freakin amazing mod. I wasn't going to order a stealth black one cause of the dna200 ,but now I think I'm going to have to.

Now if they Would at least say when it was gonna be ready. I want this one more than the 150w update. Not that I need anything over 100w but the extra 25w for tl mode I'm really antsy for.
-wonder if I can manage a decent 24g ni200 single coil

I wonder if the wattage will also be higher in single battery mode to. those extra joules will be nice addition wanna try some dual coil builds out after the update. you have a kuro coiler or coil master jig? I use them makes coil building a snap. there's some vids on youtube about using them with nickel and making spaced coils. looks pretty easy.

I have both and another coil jig that a good friend gave me. I needed prodding to use a cool jig after building so long without one. Ha ha
But yeah with the jigs I just wrap the coil spaced and squish it against the end to out It pop into shape. works ever time. I know a lot of cats use the screw thingy but to me that's over complicated and totally not worth the effort.
I use dual coils with the 50j now, even 40 on the DNA with a tugboat or freakshow mini, it works great especially at the 50j; but an extra 15j would take it from good to great!

There are Vendors and Dealers who get the s/w first to report any issues back to YiHi. I don't think YiHi will release it early this time due to all the bitchin last update;)

Looking forward to all the beta testing for the DNA200 it was already pulled in the UK this week due to software issues then available again for sale a few hours later. After the DNA40 anything will be better.

Until he bribes the mod's and admins to return, we should have a party. Drinks are on me. ;)

Heard of them a whole lot back when the 'chana' clones first coming out. never bought from them personally; but, a lot of people liked them.

Considered buying one of the returns that they sell and putting a new board in,

Elev8vape has the M Class for 169.95 using coupon code "sxminim"

Never used 'em before so I can't speak to their rep. (I do know the Mini M has been cloned.)
They have an 844 o_O area code. Anybody use this vendor? The price seems too good to be true...

For all the hype and Joe pimping a lot of other vendors seem to get here, Elev8vape has always been my go to spot if/when they have something i'm looking for.

On another note, i broke down and bought a silicone sleeve last night.

Tired of making the lesser quality of life trade off with cheaper devices and in regards to my out and about vaping. This puppy is going with me at all times going forward.

Yeah man. I mean that one random picture i saw of the fire buttonless sleeve had me holding off...but c'mon lol.

It's myth status until i see it proven otherwise.

biggest gripe I have with aftermarket sleeves is that they don't fit snug they are rather loose fitting, but they do feel nice. You can always use a iPV2 mini silicone sleeve for a tighter fit you just have to mod it a little to see the whole screen. oh and the fact that it says P4Y on the side really sucks lol.

Hahaha... yeah dude, I didn't wait though, figured for twelve dollars if the unicorn sleeve was released the next week the others would have paid for themselves anyway .

So final count out of one of the Sony VTC5 batteries i recently bought from Illumn came in at 31k, vaping at 35-38w/500 Eco mode and pulling the battery with a quarter life still showing.

Pretty satisfied with that.
I just ordered a set of new Sony Vtc5's that are made in Malaysia so glad they are back I paid over $100 for 6 of the old factory ones about 2 months ago that a vendor had put away. also these new LG HG2's are pretty good 20 amp Cont 3000mAh batteries.
