I'm bored so I will play along a bit.
I see blue and gold as well.
Honestly don't know how anybody could 'see' the gold as black. If they do, then does anything that is supposed to be gold look black to them? Does the snake in my signature look entirely black to you? Can clearly see what looks like black to the bottom left of the image, right next to the dress. Do the stripes somehow look nearly the same as that dark spot to some people?
Simply copying the image, opening it in any image editor, and zooming it in clearly shows the stripes are gold.
Black cloth will still be black no matter what color of light is shining on it, no matter how bright the lights are.
But white can easily look any other color via reflections, colored lights, or various brightness of light.
And the dress certainly doesn't look like it's made out of some highly reflective material like glossy nylon or PVC.
If your looking at a certain way to make it appear black, then that isn't a representation of the actual color of the dress, it is you purposely tricking your eyes to see it differently. This includes the photo in that link where somebody makes the picture darker. Hey, by that standard, even grass is black because I can take a picture of it on a clear sunny day and darken it via editing.
