Still waiting for @JuicyLucy to let us know what she thinks about the Odin 16mm clone. Is it a buy, is it a pass? Is it comparable to the authentic, is it a pile of :poop: ?

I've got this one.. https://www.fasttech.com/p/7684700 ...and like it enough to order another one (or 2) in my next FT buying spree. I prefer a somewhat restricted draw and for me it provides fine flavor. I'd say a tad more than the Origen Little... https://www.fasttech.com/p/5810800 ... But, that's probably due to my being able to fit a 3mm coil in the 16 and only a 2.5mm in the Little. I'm a semi lame coil builder and perhaps others can do better. (both are easy for me to build)

I don't get any whistling mentioned in the one FT review. Maybe it's because I open it up around 35%. (?)

I don't get much coil spitting, but when I do, I don't like getting hot juice anywhere around my mouth. Maybe there's an adapter (?), but unlike the Little, a nice (glow in the dark! https://www.fasttech.com/p/1577600 ) 510 drip tip won't fit.

I got the "silver" odis from FT, honestly, it's not my type of draw and the threaded drip tip is just another detractor.

Short version: the FT clone is airier and not as flavorful, and sometimes whistles

To be fair, I have been using the Enushi ultim slam cap on the authentic Odis 16 since I got it at the end of May, but I did whip out the original for comparing - have had zero whistles on the little time spend on the SS cap that comes with it.

Think I will start a thread here in a moment, because I do have photos to show the differences, and why the clone doesn't quite vape the same - though the clone is a very decent flavor attie at a very affordable price :)

So I gave up on waiting for my zapwraps and soft bottles before I vaped this Drone. I vaped it all day yesterday and today and, well, I need more 18650's cause they die faster than my 20700's with a similar build. Carrying both mods for the moment until I can get more. Now, it may be my gorilla grip, but I was able to to get just about every last drop out of the 11ml squonk bottle. And filled it 2x in my 10hr shift. They are a stiff squonk, but I dunno, for me anyways, I don't think I want to go to the 6mil softies or 8mil or w/e I ordered from MM. I feel like I'd prob be leaking all over the damn place out the air holes on my goon. I managed to over squonk 2x as it is lol.

Also, I hear all this about these @minimalsaint , Orca's? How does one go about getting their hands on one?

I really like my duel 18650 (or even 2x 20700) regulated mods and find I vape mostly between 70w and 85ish. The only problem is, the mods aren't necessarily pocket friendly. I think maybe a lil squonker could be the solution to pocket friendly. My only worry is. I kill 2 pairs of 18650's @ 70w .12ohm duel claptons in 10hours. Will I expect to use more or less batteries over this time with one these lil mech squonkers? Also I'm worried if I can get a similar vape from a single 18650 mech squonker. Being as I'm a security guard and not a mathematician, I'm sure there is some way to figure this out that I'm not aware of.

I was hoping the flying piggy was gonna be a thing so I could have 30days to just sort of try a mech squonk mod. That doesn't seem to be going well. I went to my local B&M to see if they had anything I could play around with before committing to anything and then promptly had to explain what squonking was... AND they were out of 18650's... srsly lost points in my book.

Anyways, def caught this fucking squonk bug. I'm pretty sure it's more like a plague that's not easily cured and most likely won't clear up on it's own lol.

My vaping style has changed a bit since I started squonking. I used to vape very similarly to the way you do but since I've moved to these small devices, I've been using small, single coil flavor RDA's. I can get a fantastic vape from a single 18650 mech squonker with a .35-.4 ohm build. No sacrifice on flavor with a slightly smaller cloud and I go through two single 18650s a day.

Oh, and you can't go wrong with a Little Orca. Top notch quality!

Too true! I usually vape a Cyclone on a Wraith at work but I also have a DB2 with a Nuppin just in case I want a couple bigger puffs. I have gone Nuppin crazy but they fit my vaping style.

I like clouds bro clouds. Flavor in the goon is good with clouds though. I vape it with 2 of the 3 air holes open. I tried the wife's hadaly clone. HATE the airflow, though I think I could live with a single coil something or other. I am a fiend though. Like I chain vape all day. I'm only a lil over a month off of 80+ stinkies a day.

I heard about those things too....
I suppose I've never strayed far from my current path as far as builds on a single-cell Mech go, I use a single strand of 24g SS316L and stay around .5
I've also been building the same thing long enough to know where I want my coil in relation to airflow if I'm looking for flavor or just silly fog every once in awhile.
A full bottle and battery will easily get me through a single day, though I'm also pretty calculated at this point and mind my heavy vaping days.
I don't carry a spare or secondary device, literally anything that could go wrong with my device could be fixed at my desk in 30 minutes or less.
Mechs are fun if you're into tinkering and maintaining your gear. If you're the type who likes to slap in a battery with a sloppy bottle fill and no cleaning in between; you're gonna have a bad time.

Battery Question: Using a DNA 75 VT Inbox mod with LG brown batteries. usually vaping at .5 ohms 45 watts. sometimes I like to up it to 55 watts but I do get a low battery warning when I do 50 watts at around 50-60% battery.

Would a better battery give me the power I want? Which one should I look for?

Also, heard the DNA 60 is better at this sort of thing. Have a DNA 60 mod coming in soon. Is it?

Sometimes I just like to get my 50 watts at .5 ohms without worrying about a spare battery since im still at 50% or so.

Build lower if you want more wattage. Even .4 coil(s) would reduce the voltage need to 4ish volts (55w) rather than trying to always supply 5.25v (50w)

tried that before... but it seems like i like to vape .3 ohm coils at 80 or higher . i seem to like around 5 volts. battery drain is on the voltage? or on the wattage?

Also what's the best way to cut a squonk tube? Inverted v? 45 degree angle? Seen people cut it different ways.

Inverted V.

Angle can still plug on bottle edge and not feed

Battery life is measured in both watt hours and milli amp hours.

Drain comes from amps and watts

To avoid the low battery warning on DNA75 will it be better to have a higher ohm coil on lower watts or a lower ohm coil and vape at higher watts given that voltage is the same day at 5 volts? Or it's the same? Will I not get it if say I get a better battery like the highly recommended Sony's?

higher ohm, lower watts

yep, the sanyos tend to sag under load least, followed by sony, then LG

the sanyos also last longer [like 18 months instead of 12]

25r or 30q would be my recommendation

battery mooch has graphs to back this up

Isn't there a fix/patch on escribe for the low battery warning on DNA75? I have a DNA 75 on the way and heard someone mention as such on a review.

Betty White Demanded he tell her. Chuck ran away really fast.

Well that would make sense. I heard Betty White is his mother by way of some weird dimensional portal hoping or something. Of course, he would run away from his mom asking him about crossing the road. That boy looking to get a whooping. He also tried to avoid Fred Rogers, as Fred Rogers (yes, the Mr. Rogers) was/is one of the first U.S. Navy S.E.A.Ls and had a serious axe to grind with Mr. Norris about his portrayal of him in the Delta Force movies.

If you're looking for a single coil atty with more air than the Hadaly, look at the Gorge. It uses 810 Goon style drip tips and has room for some good sized coils. Our own @raymo2u had some input on the design so you know it's a builders atty. You can chuck some decent clouds with it and it has some pretty good flavor as well. It's designed for squonking as the squonk hole is made to send juice to both sides of the well.

It's selling for around $20 on the China sites (Fasttech, 3fvape, GearBest).

poor wood

wood is so nice, and people ruin it by impregnating it with fairy dust and gloop :(

Stabilizing is usually done to pieces that would be otherwise unworkable, you wouldn't be able to do much by trying to impregnate a solid block with resin or dye so it's not necessarily causing any sort of "wood injustice".
I've even had stabilized blocks turn to dust in the middle where the resin didn't penetrate properly, so I can attest to that.
I prefer to see it as bringing new life to something that otherwise could have been scrap, different strokes I suppose!

Well, I received my FT YFTK SVA!!!!! It is DNA75, it is light. It has the ergonomics of a brick, a very small brick. The side panel (ewww!!!) squonk hole is rather small and has sharp edges. The 510 is rather "intersting" but destined for replacement with a MM. The insides...... looks like Ray Charles worked on it and Stevie Wonder did the QC. There are sharp edges and blobs of solder, further leading me to believe it is the work of a blind, or best case nearly blind worker. I do believe I will try to do some modding on it. as time ( a precious commodity for now) permits.

Do you know why? That's because when Stevie Wonder passed Ray Charles a sheet of sandpaper to deburr the edges on your mod, Ray Charles said "Wow! The instructions are written REALLY SMALL! How do you expect me to read that?"
That's when Helen Keller handed them a magnifier!

That's a box mod mafia "snitch"
DNA something, alumide with ultem buttons.... I think the panels are just black...
And a little something for @BrewBear, a squonk hole in the "proper" place :giggle::giggle:

I really like that. Hope you do too. Here is my BMM Thug DNA60 in the old ABS plastic. Have an aluminide one on the way though. It uses a 20700 battery.
