Meanwhile, in the black hole that is Facedookie, the elite continue to climb the ranks to untold heights.
The next time you look down at your hand check and think "fuck I paid a lot of money for this wood / plastic / aluminum device", fear not peasant, for I give you the mother of all plastic boxes.... (yes, those are U$D)

That is just.... wow. You know how many Orcas I could get with that kind of scratch?!?!?!?

I ended up leaving that group.Let's see if they kick him out, since their rules state you can't sell for more than 100% of RRP.Now,I don't know what RRP for a wretch is,but I doubt it's $1200.

Question ...
Is a 0.17 ohm build safe to run in my mech squonker ?

Sent from my iPhone
Depends on the battery being used and the squonker.
running .2 in my CV.

a .17 would run a bit over 20 amps in a good mech with a fresh charged 25R.
And somewhere around a top of 70-75 watts depending on battery charge state and voltage sag of battery.

Any build is safe... its the range of safety one chooses based upon the build they want and associated battery. Many say to follow Mooch's recommendations, which is a good thing; truly...and in my Squonk I build .25 on Sony VTC5As ( have a ton of these) my tubes a lot lower, to the point which its Taboo to many here on VU. Different strokes for different Folks.

Mooch says it best here though.

Managed to get my name in a randomizer for a Bolt 2.5 for the first time today. Needless to say I lost, but it was cool to participate for once.

My biggest issue with the whole Facebook group thing is that it further encourages checking the damn pages several times daily or suffer through notifications everyone posts a fucking handcheck. People (myself included) are on their phones enough already.

Besides the fact that I just don't like FB to begin with, I'm way past tired of squonking being an expensive, elitist proposition

When I started squonking, it was almost impossible to get a setup for under $300 and gear was far and in between

While I am not against pricey gear, I think you are a sucker to have to wait for the privilege

Would really need to see something very innovative before you'll catch me pining to get in on any on anybody's exclusive group

I totally agree! That it what drives the clone market, Having to wait for a chance to buy an over priced atty or mod. That's why I like my Toasters. Mark puts his designs on shapeways & U you can build them yourself. But just like others have said, it's your money, spend it however you like.

Indeed. I thought the price of the few available squonkers back in the days was just stupid - not to mention the scarcity of compatible atomizers.

So, being quite the skinflint, I made my own :) I called it the Squonkmate and it was a top feeder.

Here was version one:

And here was version two:

The second version even had two flavor feeds. That still doesn't exist commercially to this day! I used it quite a lot and it worked dandy.

Can you tell I'm not afraid to look stupid? :)

I'm going to venture a guess, you didn't like it? Please let us know what you didn't like, if you will.
Threw random temp protect messages in wattage mode with nichrome. I don't think that the wiring was done right. Needed an extra 10 watts compared to vt inbox. Resistance jumped around a bit too.

All good. I just wanted to try the dna75c to make a decision, and only lost $120 buying and selling the day I got it:)

Nice.

But I AM wondering why all the videos that pop up at the end, you know, related stuff that I might be interested in...are all about breast feeding. lol

Dan,

I've owned two Svapiamo mods. Both featured terrible wiring and overall build quality deficiencies. Would not do again.

Going crazy, buying sqounks left and right. Here is the latest. Minimal Mods based in Europe. Modmaker 510 and bottle, and pure silver contacts.

We both kinda went off the deep end after the great Sherman transaction of 2017 eh?

Oh, you mean between a prototype photo and the phrase "Get ready!" Every other day?
Recently coined "The Darren Loh Effect" by one of our own, it's the #1 thing that drives me away from a group.

Worst ever : Have you all been a victim of the 4 month long Squonk Radar clusterfcuk?
The site went live yesterday and crashed instantly. Worst example of the bullish!t Hype Machine yet.

So, except for being tricky to screw together, any complaints on the SJMY vape silicone bottles?

Only had mine a few hours and am about to buy a buttload more unless convinced not to in the next few minutes, lol

All that FB bashing an I just won a custom T3 Mini from T3 Mods in a "waffle."

*Insert hypocrisy here*

And I paid a hair over the price of the enclosure I bought from him to build my own. Go figure.

Forget where I read it, think it was in here, where someone mentioned the juice they used stained the bottle...someone else said theirs had a stink that took a while to remove...so far I haven't had either of those issues.

I also find screwing the caps on a little troublesome, as if the thread choice was just a little to fine for the application, and a little softer than a Cappy V4...outside of that, they are at a really good price point...and I can live with taking a few extra seconds putting a cap on ;)

That's what I'm thinking, lol

Wonder if the ones with the off smell were the colored ones?

Was thinking about loading up on those, just because they look cool, lol

Staining, I can live with, bad smells no. Am too much of a super taster, bad smells = bad taste

I've seen mixed reviews on them, but i got mine yesterday and have no complaints at all.The engraving on mine is very clean and the battery contacts are secure. Those seem to be the 2 biggest issues i've seen people mention.

Yeah tell me about it, after i sold you that Sherman i have bought 3 sqounkers. I have sold alot of gear also. Probably sold 30+ Rta's, 5 rda's, and 4-5 mods. Im falling into the sqounk rabbit hole. I find myself picking up my sqounks most of the time so there is no need for so much other vape gear. At this rate i might be 100% soon.

Me too, but I think I'll keep a couple ones I love. I'm down to 3 regulated mods now. SX Mini G Class, Tugboat DNA250, and my trusty beater Battlestar. Was weird to sell off my collection, mostly for sentimental reasons, and it was a nice archive of my vaping history. I only have 2 Squonkers w/ one more on the way but I think that'll do me. Been tweaking out on bf RDA's and doors and topcaps and assorted stupid matchy-matchy stuff.
So fun how you can have a totally different look just by swapping out your door.

fill bottle with isopropyl, let sit for a couple of hours. dump alcohol and let dry for 24 hours with cap off.
flavor/smell generally gone.

Yeah, thats another thing i love about these mech sqounks. They can be customized so much, im still trying to hunt down a drip tip that will match this neon green door i have. Its such a badass color but finding a drip tip the same color is hard....
