Tell you what: I have a whole lot of mods from a lot of manufacturers, and only a few can't do TC properly with Ni200.

People keep telling me that this or that brand can't do TC well, and I'm happy to believe it with SS or titanium wire, because the lower TCR requires better electronics for TC to work well. But with Ni200, the TCR is high enough that any old mod can do TC well.

Since I only vape Ni200... yes, my Kangers do perfect TC for me. Sorry but that's the truth :)
All good then, they must have improved it over the DB2.

I only use SS430, NiFe70 or NiFe52 for my TC builds.

Well, the original TC board (DNA40) only did Ni200, and I've never had a problem with the stuff. So I stick with it - ya know, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Besides, my favorite build is easier to do with softer wire.
Those flat packs are some crazy builds, I didn't think anyone used Ni200 these days.

Update on the craptastic Kangertech DripEZ:

The mod just got a whole lot more interesting. As it turns out, the air intakes on the Vandy Vape Pulse22 RDA have the exact same diameter as the DripEZ's rubber hose. So you're not limited to the special Kanger RDA with this mod. Check it out:

36098330296_10ac6e75e7_b.jpg

Just stick the rubber hose into one of the air holes, and although you don't have to, if you really want to lock the hose in place, rotate the airflow control bell ever so slightly to pinch it. That turns the Pulse22 into a very competent top-feeding atomizer. You get to enjoy a better RDA than Kanger's, and when you shoot juice into the atty, it lands straight onto the coil. Brilliant!

I'm glad I got this mod...

Don't take this the wrong way but you are the first persons that I know of actually buying one of those things.

I've been needing that thing for my collection of odd vaping equipment, and I finally scored one for cheap the other day - only 29 euros! It arrived in the mail today:

35958259692_1951e47efa_b.jpg

It's utterly ridiculous. BUT... unlike many strange mods and atomizers in my collection, it works very well indeed. I threw a Ni200 build on it, filled up the bottle and away it vaped. Super-easy deck, perfect TC, no dry hits, no leaks, cloud-chucking atomizer yet with surprisingly good flavor, efficient and comfortable feeding system, and I like the massive 16ml bottle.

So, I'm quite happy with it. But there's no way I'm going out with that thing as long as I have a shred of self-respect. It'll make a perfect table mod to keep at home, and surely a good conversation piece for vape meets :)

Wow.
Would you look at that.
Glass bottle?

Shorten the tubes some and it would look better. I or source some black. Tubes is imo would make it nice enough I'd use it

Wiring leaves a bit to be desired. Can tell it is not outputting what is on screen.

75c controls and interface are nice

Hmph for a FDV connector, otherwise it looks fun!
I had 20 minutes to kill at work today and I started to read about chipsets..... and most of the nope that will be happening with my regulated build. Like nope. Not gonna do it. LOL.

Don't take this the wrong way but you are the first persons that I know of actually buying one of those things.

I have as much excellent vape gear as I'll ever need for the rest of my life. So I've been concentrating on collecting odd or wild things that I know will disappear forever when the vaping market finally professionalizes and coalesces into 5 or 6 big players cellphone industry-style, or plain collapses under the weight of anti-vaping regulations - both possible outcomes being very near imho.

Who knows, one day I might open a museum :)

It does have a mad scientist meets Rube Goldberg look, lol

I just see snagging that loose tubing on shit and getting pissed

Well, like I said, I ain't going out with that thing. It's a home-bound tabletop mod.

Wow. Would you look at that. Glass bottle?

Yep. If I ever lose it and the spare, I bet I could get the exact same one in a perfume shop - complete with the pump.

Shorten the tubes some and it would look better. I or source some black. Tubes is imo would make it nice enough I'd use it

I too thought of shortening it and making the mod look smarter. But you don't wanna do that: the reason for the super-long, stupid-looking tube is to be able to slide the bottle out of the mod to fill it up without disconnecting the tube, which is kind of a pain.

I think my first mod I make will be an PWM Squonker.

but no prebuilt chipset just a 555 3 other components I think and a MOSFET.
With a cool rheostat of course :)

And hand checking it shows big STEEL balls.
Esp in an elitist squonk group.

My hats off to the owner of the perfume bottle squonker.

Admit it Bob - you are just too cheap to buy one :giggle:

Actually, the nerdy part of me has thought about buying one (in the interest of science of course) many times

Darned right $40 for that thing? When I can get a Dripbox 160 for the same or less?

the nerdy part of me looked at it when it first came out and the rational technical part said NAAH.

If you manage to get past the looks, I guarantee you you'll be happier with a DripEZ than with a Dripbox 160 for your money. It really is a pretty good mod, honest :)

I dunno I am QUITE satisfied with the 2 Dripbox 160's I have.
Vaping one in TC mode right now. On my third bottle filling for the day in it.

Only setups I have used for the last couple of months.
Dripbox 160
Coppervape
Kbox mini with STM V2/RBA on it.

Any vape is good vape, is what I say. I smoked for 25 years, so I can't look anymore stupid than I did for 25 can I?

Well, maybe I can...
Absolutely.
I vape a Kbox Mini with Subtank Mini V2 with RBA. Most think that is silly. but built right it is a really good flavorful vape that does not leak on me.
Been using the same tank for 2 years and only replaced the glass once when I dropped it.
Been using the same Kbox mini for 2 yrs as well and nary a glitch. Run thru an HG2 each day in it.

also I like the vape from the atty that came on the Dripbox 160 better than a goon. It does have to be built right and the prebuilt coil assys are garbage.

I know a few friends who weren't impressed by its build quality and durability. But if it works, it works well apparently.
No problems from me on it.
Been dropped a few times too.
Keeping my eyes open for a good deal on a couple more white ones.

As I said the factory coil assy is garbage and the atty is pretty much garbage unless you build it with the coils up high, even with the AFC slots.

You have no idea

I just might LOL
like when I started dating my wife and her parents had a BBQ. We had been dating maybe 3 months and her cousins were big stoners. I was into a heavy conversation about smoking the sassy grass when I repeated a phrase my friend once said about his militant views on smoking in public.... when the radio cuts to silence before one of the alert system tests and there's Jeff, 10 feet from my (now wife's) Detroit police sergeant father and his cop buddies, yelling "And now I'm gonna smoke this joint you pig!"
I legit blacked out for a good 20 seconds, my wife thought I had a stroke on the spot LOL
It took me several weeks to crawl out of that hole, even though I was literally the only one who didn't find it hysterical then or now.

I used to be in radio - lets say it took me awhile to catch on with the concept of a hot mic

Who knew all of those words weren't actually pronounced "fuck" anyways?
Stupid words
All she wanted was her own little spot, "Blabbin' with the crabs" but NOOOOOO

I'm really good at reading the weather and pronouncing strange words you need to do it in Alaska, like Tatitlek and Afognak

Also the Russian words we use a lot
