So 1st go with the stumpy cap gets hot, like screaming hot. Very non aggressive build, 2x 27g K 36g N80 fused claps @ .24. Will certainly do some playing around, but any thoughts from the stumpy users? I am not against using it single coil, just doesn't look like the best design for that?
Stumpy is one of the few RDA's that I haven't switched over to "bought" coils - I still use simple, single-wire coils, dual, probably netting out at 0.4 (yes - for the pair, lol) ohms or so. If I recall correctly...
I'll check, but I ate a sub made for two people, and I can't get up right now.

Do you use that on a mech then? I haven't found any builds that "high" that I like on a mech. I don't care how high or low I build, I like to best suit the rda, but that "feels" weak to me. Although not sure I have tried a round build in that range

Yeah - mostly, I've moved to lower ohms (and single coils). But what I don't like about higher builds is the "lag time" - since these are simple wire, they have less MASS, so they don't take much to heat up. Ohms are higher, but mass is lower - so it vapes OK for me - yes, on a mech!

Do you have a Luna squonker? If so, try the Stumpy on your Luna. Might also work on an OG Pico Squeeze or Wotofo Ram.

I know it's counterintuitive, but I've had a couple of small RDAs that were just too damn hot for me no matter what coil I put in them, because of the size and height of the cap. Those RDAs always end up on mods that are less efficient - it's the only way I can use them. The Luna, imo, is abysmal at "throughput" and yeah, I don't know the right word, but it just always seems to vape wimpier than other squonkers. It will tone down a little hellion RDA to the point that you can actually vape it.

Just recently I had to do this very thing with the OG Requiem RDA I got from @Rnfrazier. It's a very good RDA, but I can't take it on full blast! lol

Just realized my advice may be totally useless, if you aren't using the Stumpy for squonking. Still perhaps the basis of the suggestion is sound? It will vape differently on different devices.

Excuse the manky coil and wick. I have been meaning to recoil for days

But single parallel 26awg ni80. 4 wrap 2.5mm

The coil leads should point out opposite directions and make "Z" shape. In the days of o16 and stumpy we called it Z coil. Sloth tonight and others did videos but I can't find any

Fitting the coil can be a bitch. I use pliers, and swear a lot

This is exactly my memory of the Stumpy - it never looked right, was a sob (for me) to build but vaped ok.

Nope, no Luna or Pico. I get what you are saying though. Arma's here, and they do not hit quite as well as most others, so that might be worth a shot. I am finding, as a whole, most of these smaller single coil (22 mm with a fairly short top cap), I have to use an acrylic cap to use them the way I want. Weird, cuz I say most but not all. I have a pile of "drawing board" rda's, lol. Stumpy headed there, and I will try dog and trains builds in it.

20650 batteries fit in the Ohmwerks Slant - I have no idea if this is common knowledge or not but it's news to me!

Edit: This will require sanding as the door is a little off.

Here is the newest addition to my collection. SQ217 carbon red with a Nitrous RDA. Just waiting on some custom made tips to complete the package.

View attachment 199646

Looks pretty sharp. Thinking for myself, SQ has replaced Coppervape.

Would have loved seeing Coppervape use aircraft grade alu-min-um. Likely to have bumped the MRP up to around $60/70 per mod, would have gladly paid it.

Instead, they went the route of 3d printed plastics. Guess that can be suitable.

Not for these paws, though. I suffer from fumblitis, constantly dropping mods.

I finally timed a Le Supersonic rda and from what I've read it'll be a little tighter than the Haku Venna. I've never had one always missed them when they were for sale and buying new just wasn't possible when imthey we're available.

I know there's several of you that probably used both, how do they compare?

I (Coilporn Weirdo) accept the offer to an appeal for a negotiation on the collaborative takeover, and I love squonkers!
I can install my own rda/drip tip though right?? :D:D

I love the look of the Aluminum, could there be a design submitted? I havent seen a Diamond plate/Cover or Finish and I think that would look badass and would offer some drop/scratch protection.
They make it in sheets and can be thin enough to mold it on to items...

I did have a box mod done in diamond plate sides one fixed the other had the 4 corners milled for rat earth magnets to keep it attached it was very nice. It was actually a custom that one of the guys in my machinist clases at the college did himself

Hey - this could be some kind of record. Maybe. in a few weeks, this would have been a post in response to a comment from SIX YEARS AGO!! :santabanana:

Actually that was almost 6 years ago for me… right before I moved to medellin Colombia back in 2017. Lol didn’t look at the date but the look of diamond plate milled down is pretty good looking on a box mod. Still live in medellin and joined the forum a week ago to see how far behind they are here and what’s new in the world

I don't remember the Le Supersonic being a whole lot tighter than then Venna. The Le Supersonic is a terrific squonk atty and also pretty hard to find. Glad you sniffed one out.

My top 3 single coil squonk attys:
Venna
Phenom
Le Supersonic

I got a clone Stratum 303 from @gadget! and am loving this thing! It says OLC MOSFET Matt series #122 on the other side. I did Google it and they are some really nice squonkers, but not sold any longer from what I can see. I'm guessing they're out of my range anyway what a great surprise.

Anyway - just an enthusiastic hand check

jack murray on ECF in 2010 invented the term in the REO lounge

"Hey, don't sweat it! It's kind of hard to wrap your head around at first until you see it. The link between the juice bottle and the atty has a great seal and it just squonks the juice right up in there everytime you give it a squeeze. It's brilliant. No wires, nothing to screw up - it's exactly the kind of thing that I like to have, whether it's chef's knives or mods. =D"

Got back into squonking about a year ago. Bought another Pulse V2 after selling one that I wasn't using. It was the PR SE Edition that came with the Requiem RDA, which sucks IMO. Decided to pick up a second Pulse V2 about a month ago. Running the Yachtvape Claymore on one and Blaze Solo on the other.
