I'm not sure if it was mentioned anywhere in this thread I did not read the whole thread obviously, but there is a battery extension tube that will attach on to the bottom of this device which will allow you to run 2 18650 batteries in series allowing you to get to a hundred watts but the extension to as you could imagine looks fugly as hell.. you can also run this device in bypass mode and use it as a mechanical which is also a very cool feature. I feel the spec sheet that yihi put out is a tad bit misleading/Miss Representation and pretty much false advertising.

All of this was mentioned, not dishing out 300$ before doing some research...

Yeah, they should've chosen a more unique name for the mod, IMO, to avoid this confusion. Calling both the board and the mod the "SXmini" was not a terrific idea considering that the capabilities are much different.

And that tube. Dear lord that tube. If they're cheap enough, I might get one just so I can bear witness to the horror of it firsthand.

My SX rarley goes over 40 watts and it's maybe the only mod I have not opened up at all - haven't even tried. I would be ok with a sidewinder type extension and would probably buy it just because, but really?

After the slam dunk that is the SX mini this is what they came up with?

That Aqua is just too sexy to ignore.

It is retrox so chop chop, come and join me in the complete, sexy set up extravaganza! I am certain that you will love this atty, and you have lots of options too. All of the clones have been reported as good, and I have one clone, one authentic and I love them both :)

I just realized customs must have dropped my mod because the battery tube is bent. God damn it. Must order another I guess.

Is the battery tube seriously bent, or is it "bent" as in: Since it's "bent" you need another one that isn't "bent." ;)

Lol. Its bent I a way where my eyes want to punch themselves continously until I get a black SXMini.

Did it take a little blue pill so it wouldn't be so "mini"? :p

That does it!!..for months I've been meticulously researching my next purchase..been in love with the Taifun Eye..then out came the P3..but I still found the Eye better suited for my needs..then I ran into the VS 40..but the Eye had a face lift that made it even more desirable. Now ever since I saw the SX mini it's been haunting me in my sleep. I left the report I was supposed to submit today to read this thread and then watched retrox' review for what must have been the 6th time since last night!! ..I will get it..this will be the first thing I do with my next pay check!!

A couple of questions though..it looks fabulous as far as I am concerned and the grip's finish is beautiful in the pictures..but..is it durable??? or does it scratch easily like the IPV "black" as they call it over there??

Nikkita6..you mentioned earlier that the finish or built is not flawless...care to elaborate?

I received mine yesterday, came in perfect condition, flawless! with latest firmware installed on it. Best device I have bought in the last year! Beautiful..
The fit in the palm of the hand is twice as nice as a tube mod. So comfortable..

That extension tube is funny. It's a quick fix for fog banking..I guess it will hold some people over till they release a dual battery version.

Over priced by 90 dollars? It does look nice though
Couldn't disagree more. You actually get what you pay for with this mod. At the 100 dollar mark you get mediocre quality like the chips in a segelei or ipv. The sx mini is better than anything packing the evolv chips. Don't let the Chinese label fool you on this one.

Just responding to the question asked. I think the Sigelei is over priced too, and it has a yihi chip set, with an excellent track record. All these mods are relatively crude electronic devices. But to each his own. You think it's worth 190 bucks, I don't. No big deal

Yes, it is overpriced. But so were my $14 a pack New York City cigarettes.. When I smoked, I paid for a SX Mini every 4-5 weeks. So I'm loving being off cigarettes and my SX Mini. Sure my Isticks and IPV Mini cost me a lot less, but my SX Mini is so pretty.

ordered 2 on friday, had them in hand on the following monday...
the girlfriend immediately put a russian 91 on the grey/grey one and staked her claim to it...
the origen genesis has been sitting on the grey/black one i took use of...
fit and finish is impressive, not perfect, but, impressive non the less. its deceptively heavy. the menu takes a bit to get used to. neither one came with the current update (3.1) but we dont care, neither of us currently need 10 volts...
is it worth the price? only time will tell. my gut feeling is , long after the ipv's, sigelei's, and 90% of the rest of the battery mods out there shit the bed, this little guy will still be makin' vapor.

Just a minor misalignment between the frame and the inner body sleeve. Could prolly straighten it out by loosening the hex bolts a bit and pushing it into place. But I don't think the flaw is big enough for me to mess with it. :)

the aluminum is soft enough to show gouges, nicks and scrapes, dpending on the severity of abuse...
the paint, or coating seems to be rather thick versus thinner and only time and use will show us the durability...
the body sleeve is slightly misaligned to frame where it forms the curve by the fire button and ever so slightly raised (really have to look to see it)...
i personally dont call these flaws, i refer to it as "character". and since it seems every one of them have this misalignment, it may be a machining issue...
a bit more attention to detail and a more stringent qc program, to not let even the slightest flaw through, would make the sx mini stand with the provari , quality wise, IMO..
even with the above issues, this is a nice battery mod...seriously thinking about doing some digging to see if evolvs dna40 will fit in the sx...

I noticed a lot of people complaining about the single 18650. Here is a picture of it in my hand. It is called the SX Mini for a reason :)

Wonderful mod and paired with a Doge mod, it is amazing!

Ignore the 26650 RDA ;)

Thanks for those links! Thinking of ordering one! I hopped on the XPro M50 train and I am regretting it due to quality control issues. Any issues with the chip reducing power on these?

No issue at all that I have experienced. If you are at low battery, it will throttle you if you're vaping at high wattages.

They're operating out of Shenzhen, and YiHi doesn't sell to Chinese distributors. Looks like a bogus listing, or perhaps the first of the clones?
