Communism for the most part refers primarily on the economic system of a country, where as fascism goes deeper into a style of government. There's a LOT more on this, but they aren't the same thing.

I'm a socialist, it's my ideology, but people mistake socialism for communism. Socialism, (I'm more of a libertarian socialist) at least in the form I would like to see in place, stays true to PEOPLE holding the power. There is no clause where it says you can't be rich or poor and everyone has to be equal. No, it's a LOT like a true democratic society just without the capitalism which has proven to do nothing but aid corruption while making the rich richer and the poor poorer. A lot of people hear the word socialism then think communism. Socialism is a great system, it's even in the name. SOCIALism. But your ideology is your ideology.

But, like ALL governments, shit that looks good on paper doesn't always work in practice due to HUMAN BEINGS.

Of every country on the world, Switzerland seems to be the freest of them all. Outside of the European Union's TPD rulings because they don't agree with the EU and are not a part of it, beautiful landscapes and it's one of the last true confederations left.

I wasn't attacking anyone. I come from Serbia, born a year after the Soviet Union fell, I'm more educated on this shit than anyone here I promise you because it was shoved down my throat growing up. A lot of people missed the 'old country' because during the Yugoslav wars shit was falling apart and the lesser Baltic Nations, like Serbia, were left to the wolves with little to no aid. Then infighting led to genocide and border disputes. This lead to people preaching the joys of their missed communism.

The ideology preached by early political activists like Karl Marx WAS FAR LOST on the Soviet Union and China. That is NOT socialism.

Dictatorships and corrupt communists have given socialism a bad name. Trust me, study it. It's nothing like you think.

Why do you think the Soviet Union was so popular when it first sprung up? Socialism is a great system on paper, and if practiced as it was written it would be fantastic. People used that great idea to entice people into giving them power, then they fucking abused it.

This is ANY government. There's not many people you can give power and money who won't proceed to abuse the living shit out of it and manipulate the system to cater to them and not the people. Nothing works in practice.
