@88ArDeN88 Say it isn't so!!!

We already miss you being around here, but the times are a'changing, unfortunately. I have only mixed a handful of recipes in the last year or so myself, and still have more flavors than I'll probably ever use. As Bob said, it's kind of you to pay it forward.

Best of luck and happiness to you moving forward. It has been a true pleasure. Check in and say hi if you can. <3

Times are changing, and it was always my intention to use vaping as a means of quitting smoking, I just fell in love with mixing and vaping. I have been pretty busy for quite a while now and tapering down my nicotine consumption over the past few months. I still love mixing and I do still love vaping, but I feel like it's time to move on. I will stay in touch.

Also, It doesn't really matter to me if you need anything or not. If you see something in the stash that interest you and want some of it, feel free to let me know in a pm. I think I'll just ask that if you aren't in desperate need you just cover the shipping costs. If someone does really need it and is struggling financially, then I will cover the shipping costs.

Hey everyone! Merry Christmas, happy new year, all of that good stuff. I hope everyone is doing well! The time has come for me to call it quits. I'm going to give all of my flavor stash away to anyone on here that needs some of it. You have all been so great and helpful over the years, especially @wildgypsy70 and @nadalama and probably some more of you that I can't remember at the moment. I'll get a link to my stash up here in the next couple of days. I'd rather see some stuff go to a few different places that could really use it, but whatever works.
Good for you! I’m sad to see you go, but if it’s time…..I get it. You’ve been great to get to know and bandy ideas around with. And im glad I could help you from time to time. Good luck quitting vaping and maybe come visit.💜

actually, here is the link now. I haven't decided exactly how to do it yet, but if anyone has any ideas, I'm open to them.

edit: some of these are probably low, I don't really have an exact inventory, but I might have some flavors that aren't in there as well.
Lol! That INW waffle………….

I rarely talk about vaping, let alone how I like to mix my own juice, with people in the real world. Aside from "nah, I'm vaping now" when offered a cigarette, or "oh... umm, its kind of a vanilla-y tobacco flavor, hard to explain" when asked what Im working with in my tank.

However, I've been opening that book a little more with a coworker of mine who is new to the whole vaping scene. He's in his mid 50s, first time getting off the sticks and is stuck with blinders on when it comes to preference in flavor profiles: butterscotch, and butterscotch only. Not in the least bit interested in anything else, but I'll crack that nut given enough time.

He pressed me on the "oh, umm, it's hard to explain." No one ever presses me. So, fine, here goes. Mad Scientist in his Garage making bootleg bathtub nic juice reveal time. He asked, I answered - let's skip, jump, hop on over to the point where I'm almost excitedly heading out for a smoke - erm, vape break - to pull up BCF on my phone and start looking into different butterscotch flavors.

For the first time since, oh, probably around '17, I'm on a DIY mission.

I've never mixed a butterscotch.

I'm not particularly fond of butterscotch. And I think both of those reasons are why I'm gung-ho about it. Gonna knock this old boys socks off at no charge.

Order placed, should be here in a few days.

Butterscotch by Flavorah was practically automatic after reading some words on screen from people not unlike yourselves, then Butterscotch Ripple FW, Butterbeer FW - that oughtta get me started down an alright path. Gonna guinea pig this guy into a recipe he's gonna like.

If anyone has any long time fave recipes for this profile, or suggestions of pairings from the three flavors I've got coming to me, please lay it on me. I've got all manner of things to use, sweeteners and AP and additives and whatnot, but I plan on starting Simple Simon and adjusting as he dictates.

Love it! Maybe add a bit of FLV to boost the butterscotch. It needs a steep (for the ice cream part)... a week should be plenty. I think someone here mentioned FA butterscotch working well with it (@Howard Hughes ?) I don't normally add sweeteners but that's up to your friend) I also tried adding some caramel and that worked well.

I haven't been mixing much lately, but I have a pre-mixed flavor that is a Tres Leches cake with butterscotch that is to die for. If you can find a manageable recipe for a clone of King's Crest Duchess Reserve, I'd give that a try. Stuff is wonderful, probably the closest I come to an ADV/favorite e-liquid that isn't a recipe of my own.

FW Butterscitch Ripple is amazing! It’s vanilla ice cream with ribbons of butterscotch. I could rock it solo, but why? There’s so much it goes with…..including tobacco!

My favorite paring with butterscotch is usually banana, but @nadalama is right about the Duchess Reserve. That stuff is so frighteningly good. This recipe is pretty damn close, imo.

One of my favorites from back in the day. Has a lot of FW Butterscotch Ripple and some Apple that might expand his pallete a bit but keep the Butterscotch theme going. Needs a couple weeks for the Fuji to settle down some. Think I used to sub out the EM for a touch of super sweet.

Edit: no idea why that link came out as check cookies.. lol

Thanks for the suggestions, folks. Good stuff in here. I've completely neglected the RY4 aspect - he said he wanted to originally vape tobacco but couldn't find a decent one (welcome to the club, and the top reason I started DIY in the first place), I might be able to work down that road with RY as a pivot flavor.

I'd like to give that Duchess a shot. That looks pretty interesting.

Ecigmafia order came today. Unless something is terribly wrong with my taste buds, I'm warning everyone to stay away from Dinner Lady Bubblegum.

Don't get me wrong, I love Bubblegum vapes, but this mess tastes like the can that pineapple came in. It is just gross.

ETA:. Son says it's just me. So I reckon I owe Dinner Lady an apology.

Cannot believe that I still have never mixed GOC. I need to get off my keister and do that.

I make one shots of GOC so I don't have to fish out all the flavors every time I mix it. Actually, I make one shots of all my OTR juices to make life easier for those.

BTW @wllmc likes GOC fresh with little to no steep. I prefer some steep, but nothing like Kreed's Custard...

From what I’ve read, this is a scam. DarkStar bought the Chefs domain name and is using it to lure people in, thinking Chefs is back. They are back, but under a different name. They’re only selling their one shots, at the moment. Flavour Craver is the real new Chefs.

Bummer, and they got my email from the former Chef's as well.

Did some mixing yesterday:
Tobacco mix (my usual)
Raspberry layer cake (simple 3 flavor mix I've done before)
Lemon tart (another 3 flavor mix)
TFA banana nut bread (this time with FW butterscotch ripple)
All of these are my own creations. The BNB is for my new RTA (need to order coils for it so it will have plenty of time to steep)

I mix new batches in 50 ml plastic bottles with screw on caps (empty "mini-bar" vodka bottles LOL)
Then, after shaking/steeping/ adjusting) I put them in regular "squirt" bottles. When I put the new mixes in those, I noticed I had one that I forgot about (it's some kind of peach) Only problem is I don't know if it's 6 or 12mg/ml... no big deal but it might blow my head off if I use it in a RDA (going to assume it's 12mg)

I doubt 12mg would blow your head off, but within about five minutes you'd know it was 12mg. You'd be talking everyone's head off and having a bit of the jitters.

We get all disturbed around here when people start talking about using high nic in sub-ohms, but that's more for 25mg and up. @MyMagicMist vapes 18mg in his RDAs all the time. Maybe that's why he has such a vivid imagination! :bomb:

That and I got pulled off Ritalin by my mom. The school system wanted me medicated. I was a storyteller and had lucid flights of fantasy. I also ravaged school libraries, reading at college level in the second grade.

Pick up a book now? Nah, read two sentences and I pass out.

Think I'm finally stepping down to 12 mg. Do not count that, however. I am still dual using, rub snuff and vape. I don't do both simultaneously, still I'm probably getting 18 mg level nicotine.

12 or 18 mg, I've yet to kick my head off using RDAs due to nicotine. Been five to eight years doing that. I would not want to try 24 mg, or even 20. Honestly think my physiology may play a part. Kind of wired neurally in different ways than most.

Example, I have to be prescribed serotonin. My body does not produce it, come to find out. Ha! That's due in part to my pituitary also mot triggering to produce testosterone.

I'm just a weirdo & it's alright to call me that. I've no woke weirdo issues or such. :)

I mixed up a couple of new recipes I've had running around in my head yesterday. A RY4 and Stroopwafel. I'll give them some time to mingle together. I also mixed up a couple of some of my favorite personal mixes, An Apple @ Midnight and Cinfull Waffle. I vape those all the time I'm home.

I had never heard of a stroopwafel before, so I Googled it. Man, does that ever sound good! When you get the recipe finished, I'd appreciate it if you'd share, if you don't mind.

Made my first bottle for someone else, and they dug it. Feeling... accomplished. Vindicated in spending all this money.

Not really, but it's kinda neat either way.
That's a good feeling (mixing for someone else) You mix for yourself, and get your own feedback, but it nice to mix for others and get feedback. I'm just guessing from your user name that you like tobacco flavors,,,, would like to talk abut that. Feel free to PM me (conversation)

I got in a small mixing session today,

Andy's Shake • (Andes mint shake)
Stone Walls V2.0 • (butterscotch, coffee, tobacco, custard)
Dodge Swinger 1973 • (butterscotch custard)

I did two versions of the butterscotch custard - same flavors but different percentages.

I'm still using commercial liquid as well so I don't really get through my testers (10ml) very quickly. These make 42 in my steeping drawer now as well as another 10 that I have out to vape.
At one point last year I had 70 testers mixed. (all my smaller bottles!)

I also enjoy playing around with naming them!

I was never good at naming them, but I am very interested in "Stone walls" (been wanting to try something different... way out there... this sounds perfect) Hope you don't mind if I wing this one (have all the flavors for something similar) might call it "another brick in the wall" (we can compare recipes later)

I got the name Stone Walls from a song by the country band Three Tall Pines.
Dodge Swinger 1973 is from the song Spacegrass by Clutch.

Depends what is running through my head when I write a recipe, sometimes a name ties in and makes a little sense. Sometimes not.
Haha, I have one called Barney's Fife! (apple pie, honey, shortbread)

Stone Walls V1.0 is...
Smoked Butterscotch (FLV) • 1.0%
Smooth Cappuccino Cream (WF) • 1.5%
Sweet Tobacco (PUR) • 2.0%
Vanilla Ruyan Custard (WF) • 1.5%
Virginia (FA) • 1.0%

...and is so-so. I did a V1.1 at tha average % from ELR for each flavor.
Just started vaping that one.
V2.0 adds FW Butterscotch Ripple and FA Tiramisu (Booster) and some percentage adjustments.

Not sure if the percentages are of any help but figured I'd show what I started with.

Edit: Oh yeah, if it looks interesting to you, have at it!

Mix names can come from all kinds of places! I have one named "Frobscottle," which comes from the movie "The BFG (Big Friendly Giant)"

The BFG is a terrific kids movie, and in the movie the giant makes a drink concoction that is green and sparkly, and the bubbles go down instead of up. I did a little reading on Google and then made a recipe using bubble gum, cream soda, vanilla swirl, tutti frutti, and wintergreen. Haven't mixed anything in a long time, but just thinking about this makes me want some again.

Also made a couple of mixes right from cocktail recipes that I found online. One of those is "Ginger Rogers", and then there's one called "Bubba Lee." The "Bubba Lee" is a champagne based recipe, and the name is a perversion of the word "bubbly."

Haha, Frobscottle sounds like a fun mix!

I have one called Bad Call which I wrote shortly after seeing a forum post about poor officiating during a football game.
Some have main notes worked into the name - Honey, It's Just Peachy... Apples • Please Have S'more Custard • Carcopine Cheesecake (caramel/coconut/pineapple).

I can see where some folks would prefer a straightforward name so they know whether to bother looking at it though.

Yes, that's true, it's good to be able to tell what the recipe actually is. Most days I post in the "What flavor are you vaping right now?" thread, and if I post a mix that has an obscure name, I try to always add a short description of what it actually is.

Another one I have is called "Quincy," which is caramel/coconut/chocolate chip cookie. Five C words in the name, Quintuplets being five babies, "Quint C" or Quincy. But when I post that I'm vaping it, I always have to explain what it is. :)

It sounds like you're good at coming up with catchy names - and now that I know that you use a little sense of humor in them, it will be easier to see how you've worked a description overview into the name itself. Very clever!

ETA: If you'd add a dash of cherry and a little yellow cake to your Carcopine Cheesecake, you'd have Pineapple Upside Down Cheesecake (Puddle Cheesecake?) I've got family members who are just bonkers over a pineapple upside-down cake. Not me, unfortunately. I can't deal with the pineapple!

Pineapple Upside Down Cheesecake
Now I am considering this!
I guess I should try my second version of Carcopine Cheesecake soon, it's been steeping for five months.

So far I haven't found any flavor that I can't really vape though I'm far from having tried all those that I have, let alone all that are out there.
(Well, I'll never get to try all that are out there!)

Since you're still doing commercial I'll derail the mixing thread for a second.
This stuff is spot on pineapple upside down cake. They have a banana, strawberry, and regular vanilla cake too.
Solidly in my top 3 lines of all time, absolutely delicious...have all 4 on hand currently.

There are a bunch of posts earlier in this thread where we were trying to clone Elysian's Nilla Cake. It was the ADV of @CrazyChef v2.0 and he wanted to clone it, so a bunch of us pitched in. I know I wasn't any help, because I've never tried the original, but he obviously really loved Nilla Cake. I think he made about 7 or 8 different versions of the mix.

Thank you!
It might be useful to compare to if I due go for a PUC.
I will usually pick up a bottle of juice or pack of coils if I don't find any gear I want when I stop in a local shop.

It does pain me a little though because now I think "I could have picked up six new flavors for what this bottle cost!"

I remember that somewhat, couldn't remember who, it's been awhile.
Been stuck on Nilla Cake for years.

Thank you!

It's pricey for sure. Only place I could find it was Element for a long time but Empire just picked up the line. If you try it you will most likely love me and hate me at the same time, 🤣

I mixed up twelve more testers since last night,

You Sweet Rice Thing • (sweet rice/milk/caramel fudge)
Waterbloo V3.0 • (blueberry/peach/watermelon)
Moussetache • (choc mousse/hazelnuts&cream/VTA Love)
Nuts In Love • (almond/hazelnut/VTA Love)
Nobility Too V1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, & 5.0 • (something in the spirit of Vapetasia's Royalty Two)
Pear-Tea Time
Manna-Tea (mango/banana)
Caramel Rum Chocolate Donut

I think I'm plenty mixed up for a bit!

Please post some recipes, if your testing is a success. They sound good
Thank you, I will!
I'm a bit slow at working through my testers so it could take me a little while to get them where I'm happy with the results. (I'm definitely not a master mixer!)
I've yet to do any "shake" tests with these yet. I'll probably start giving them a taste tomorrow. (though I'll most likely let the revisions steep a spell)

I could share WIP if you really want to see where I'm at with something - no promises that it will be tasty though!
