I made some Raspberry Custard by Coop34 from Reddit on 4-6. I tried it a few times after a couple of weeks and thought it was just "Okay". He said the longer I can wait the better. I didn't really believe in it and put it in a drawer and kinda forgot about it. I tried it today and this stuff is fricken great. If you're interested-

If you make it don't bother trying it until after atleast a month. Shits worth the wait.

I doubt I could ever wait that long but I do speed up infusion with heat to around 100°F so could probably know in at least 4 days or so how it would be.

Looks good! I might just mix that up....my stash is getting low. Squonking really goes thru the juice! Which I love! Cause then I get to mix more!

I agree wholeheartedly. I'd say a month is the absolute minimum

Back to the 'backy end of the spectrum today, I can feel it. Time to pull out the ol' Kayfun, give her a new coil and switch it up for a while. Thinking some Perique, that high note peppery zing with high nic, might just be in order.

No, you know what? I've got some NETs sitting in a little box (within a box, within a box) - anyone know if NETs go bad after a while?

I suppose I'll know for myself when I crack the bottles open a little later today.

Have a great one, everyone!

Let me know how it goes. I have some NETs from @Vash that I've had for a while that I've never tried yet. Might be time to try 'em.
Will do. You mentioned @Vash and it made me perk up, went back and looked into my old message history - yup, that's the dude I got 'em from. Confederate, Gold Leaf and Captain Jack I believe. Big fan of the Confederate, though the other two aren't bad by any stretch.

Last I remember. Hope it's not too late to get something awesome out of them. The bottles are... umm... older.

I have vaped bottles than are 1-1 1/2 year old and no issue other than the couple of year and half old ones maybe not having quite as much kick due to the Nic degrading a touch from age and being stored in closet vs fridge

I don’t vape as much NETs (premixed) as I did in the past. My experience has been that it takes a long time before they go bad. I tend to vape sooner than later because I always had/have non-NET flavors in it which will move to the background as the NET comes forward. Now that I am into DIY I have mixed a NET flavor here and there. I use Stixx Mixx extracts and am happy with what I have tried. Also much cheaper than other extracts unless you are making your own.

My batches of concentrate were mixed on 12/6/16. So, they're kinda old.

Whipped up 15% batches (I prefer a higher-percentage with NETs) of 10mg juice of all three I have on-hand: Confederate, Gold Leaf and Captain Jack.

Vaping Gold Leaf right now, and though it's a little bit lighter than I remember it being (especially at 15%), it's still so, so good. I'm sure the other two will do well also, but so far so good.

I wasted some supplies today against my own better judgement. Been out of town and came home decided to throw a bunch of near empty bottles in some VG and see what happened. It wasnt good and it likely will not ever be. They were all things that could go together, just not like they did. Now I feel like an asshole.

For those inawera custard and Creme brûlée lovers, I’m vaping a recipe I made 6 days ago by tootall on alltheflavours that you may enjoy. It’s fairly simple, called 3-2-1 Creme brûlée. It’s 3% inawera custard, % inawera Creme brûlée and 1% inawera vanilla shisha. It’s subtle but very tasty.

Yum! I have that one in my “list of too many recipes to mix”. I really like those 3-2-1 recipes.....so easy!

I do this every time I take off on a tangent when I'm supposed to be following a recipe. Have to just live and learn, right?

Trying to "french up" a NET with a smidge of Vanilla, give it a sweet note. So I made up two different bottles today - thinking, though, that I messed up my ratio assumptions.

15% NET flavoring (Confederate)
2% INW Shisha Vanilla

&

12% NET (same, confed.)
3% INW Shisha Vanilla

...just to see where it would sit. I'm vaping on the 15-2% one right now, and the NET is barely there. Vanilla is there, light and not super-forced tasting, but it just completely smothers the subtle notes of that NET that I enjoy so much.

So, I've not got any real substantial prospects for an even lighter ratio in the other bottle. I think I'll have to really "up" the NET, keeping Vanilla Shisha around 2-ish percent. Maybe 1.5% would be better. Maybe.

It's not that it's a "failed" experiment, just, not what I was shooting for.

Seeing as how NETs are expensive, I don't know if I want to really dive further down into this rabbit hole.

Kinda thinking of just leaving the NETs alone, letting them do them and my sweet juices do their thing. Kind of a "I like peanut butter, and I like lemon meringue, but maybe let's not smash them together" - that sort of thing.

Week's almost over, folks. Hang in there!

I was reading this page earlier this morning, might help you decide if there's a lighter vanilla that would be better suited to what you want to do:

Oh that's just cool. Thank you. I'm a big ol' Vanilla-nerd, so that list right there is right up my alley. Let's see how many of these I have in my collection... hmm....

Shame they didn't cover Holy Vanilla by DIYFlavorShack. It's really rich, pretty good, but will mute itself out with one-drop-over-the-line added to a bottle. Cautious stuff, done right it tastes heavenly. In my mileage, anyways.

edit: strike that, they did, I just didn't see it. Dang, don't think there's very many left out there that they didn't cover. Good deal, good deal.

Thanks again, I'll use it as a shopping list ;)

Or something. Pretty sure deep down in my heart I knew it was going to suck but I did it anyway. Never know until you go down the rabbit hole.
