ABC? I thought he was an MTV thing. I finally did remember the name, but I was out in the barn, and nowhere near the computer to say so. ;) My memory seems to be pretty good, but sometimes it takes a while to kick in, LOL!

I graduated in 1975, so I'm a few years off from some of you. ;)
Class of 74 so only a year apart.

Oh, yeah, Suisse Mocha with half the cup filled with hazelnut non-dairy creamer. That was my warm-up drink in the winter when I got back from evening chores in the barn. Until I read the ingredients, and that was before I started really reading ingredients. OMG. No more Suisse Mocha Hazelnut for me, but I do remember it fondly. It really hit the spot on a cold night.

Apparently, I missed that trend, which seems to be a good thing. Was it in the 80s?

Who remembers playin Slug a bug?

May be an image of car

Never heard of it until some guy on a commercial said it recently. I couldn't figure out what he was saying, but now I realize it was "slug a bug." Some kind of driving-in-the-car game for kids? I missed that one, too.

When Home Ec. don't quite cut it in the real world... bring a bit of the good old days teachings, with a twist and some creativity, to fix something that really doesn't need to be trashed.

This is insulated overalls that got some holes. Standard thread sucks. Any thread sold in stores won't last. But, braided fishing line does. Camo tape is good patch material, but also needs to be sewn on to hold.

Nobody taught me this. I figured this out due to growing up in the late 1960s through the early 1980s. Raised on hose water and negligence.

For me, wood shop was called basic cabinet making. There was basic metal shop, and basic auto shop. Those were electives I was allowed to take in my senior year of high school. Home Ec was so boring that I forgot just about everything they taught. These days, I find it silly that I took typing class. There is no need for that these days.
