Man Builds Electric Car Power from Discarded Vape Batteries in Incredible Hack

I wonder how long the charge lasts. Maybe the article says, and I missed it.

I saw too a few yrs ago from a guy I know in the UK who posted that story where I was, pictures of particular spots on their freeways where for who knows why, people chose to throw them when they were finished. There would be like 100 or so all thrown in the same spot, on streets too. So it was relatively easy for anyone to collect quite a few at a time like that guy did. I saw a video too on an electric bicycle someone made using them from disposable vapes collecting them from those throw away spots.

THE POWER OF NORMAL
Joe Herr is 4’11, talks fast, gets distracted, and shows up to everything
in a colorful vest covered in thumbprints. The thumbprints belong to kids he's helped. Logan's handprint is on the back.

Logan was Joe's son. Logan was diagnosed with cerebral palsy caused by a lack of oxygen to his brain during birth. He was nonverbal, couldn't eat on his own, and couldn't sit up without support. Their home was not equipped for his special needs, so Joe built a ramp in their garage.
Logan died February 22, 2002. He was 4.5 years old.

The night he died, Joe walked down that ramp and started thinking about other families who needed one.

Three months later, Logan's Heart and Smiles was born. By June, they'd built their first ramp. That year: three projects. All volunteers. Zero staff. Joe was working full-time as a project manager.
Twenty-four years later, 450 families have been helped across the state of Wisconsin. Ramps. Bathroom remodels. Specialty beds for kids with autism. Therapy swings. Sliding gates.

Also, pontoon boat rides. St. Patrick's Day parades where kids with different abilities get to throw the candy and decide who gets it. "Beyond the Build" — that's what Joe calls it. It's a philosophy, not a program.
It's the idea that showing up for a family with a disabled child means more than construction. It means seeing them. Hearing them. Acknowledging the sacrifice that never gets a trophy.
Joe Herr is a normal person doing extraordinary things. His story is this week's episode.
