Good morning ya'll.

'On awakening let us think about the twenty-four hours ahead. We consider our plans for the day. Before we begin, we ask God to direct our thinking, especially asking that it be divorced from self-pity, dishonest or self-seeking motives. Under these conditions we can employ our mental faculties with assurance for after all God gave us brains to use. Or thought-life will be placed on a much higher plane when our thinking is cleared of wrong motives.'

I lost one of my best friends on Saturday. He shot himself in the head with a shotgun. He was like us, but never found his way into the program. He couldn't drink the pain away anymore, so he did the only other thing he felt like he could do. I understand that level of hopelessness. There but for the Grace of God go I. I am sad, and I really hurt, but today I do not have to drink, over it. I will always miss him, but instead of being angry at him, I am grateful to him, because he serves as an example of what happens to us, and where I could easily go. I'd be lying if I said I never entertained the thought myself, more than once or twice. Thank you Family for listening. Peace, and God Bless.

I will be praying for you and his family. I am sorry for your kid and wish I could do or say more I truly am sorry.
