I don't miss it. No more Provari wars, clones vs authentics, China bashing/racism. I have much less stress here.

You're lucky they will close your account! They've been holding mine hostage for 10 weeks, doing what they want with it, and thumbing their noses at me.

Yeah they really are a good representation of most of today's college kids. If they don't agree with you they just want to shut you down and go to their safe space. I don't know where the hell that attitude comes from. I was raised in an America where freedom of spech, and expression were encouraged. Then again I didn't grow up with 8th place trophies and participation medals. So sad that it's come to this.

My account is deactivated so I couldn't use it if I wanted to, but they made it look to members like I could :rolleyes: Just childish bullshit. Even worse that closing it was what they said they would do if I refused to be a supplier. I told them go ahead and close it, and they still won't do it! So I will be forever stuck in limbo.

I still frequent quite a few threads over on ECF as there are some excellent folks in them. This is a much more relaxed place to be, I never got into any of the drama over on ECF, that is what Facebook is for...

On a positive note:
My Merlin is in CHARLESTON, WV 25350 right now and probably won't move till Tuesday.

I did receive some vape mail on Friday though.

mmhhh...heard that to remove the Merlin from your mod you have to grip the bottom, if you grip it anywhere else the juice control just spins as there is no blocker. Is this true? Any work arounds?
I have 2 Merlins enroute, but also use alot of mods where the tanks sits recessed (side-by-side), so I can't really grip it by the bottom to remove it.
If so I have to sell them I guess :( would be a shame as I was really looking forward to them.....really hoping somebody has a workaround!

I found the Merlin to be unworkable on my XVOStick.

I couldn't get the atty screwed in tight enough (easily). Then no access to the AFC, because of the lip at the bottom of the XVO. It was also difficult to see the juice control. Love my XVO, but I love the Merlin more, so switched back to my SX Mini and am considering selling my XVO.

Well I extremely like my xvo (auth) and ysticks, so no way they are going to be replaced :) but I also have a smoant knight on the way which is open at the bottom of the recces so you can access the afc part, so maybe that will work with the Merlin. Will report once I get both in.
If that also doesn't work I'll either resell the Merlins (got them cheap for $18 on ft, so don't think it'll be a problem) or it will find it's place on my Dani box, it depends how much I like the merlin, but from what I hear sofar I think I know what's it gonna be :)
Just hoped I could use it on my new Ysticks, but it seems that's a no.

Kind of you to offer Roxy :) but no need, I have other mods they will fit on. Besides, I am in europe, so shipping would probably be more than the trade value LOL :). Also got a bachelor nano, but not a big fan of it......
This Merlin seems to be just what I was looking for, so no doubt they end up in rotation on the Dani box! just have use other tanks on my new Ysticks that's all :) Can't wait to try them!

Unfortunately, I was there too long, and I must have seemed like an old piece of furniture there.

If it's any consolation, people mentioning ecf in connection with Boreas was one of the reasons they banned me. They said it brought the forum "negative" publicity. So the fact it's still happening must seem like having a sharp stick shoved up their asses :D

Just for information
I did an experiment with the Merlin yesterday
With a 26ga 2.5mm coil at 1.06 ohms
Juice was a 50/50 pg/vg
92 degree outside heat
Put the tank on its side on the seat of my pickup rolled the windows up and went into a store for 30 minutes with juice control closed

When I came back out tank was really hot juice was as thin as water so I puffed on it it worked with no leaks and I could see small bubbles coming from the juice control holes

While chain vaporing I got no flooding and no dry hits
I did this test with the intent of carrying this tank in extreme conditions and it passed in flying colors

I only have one other tank can pass that test and its a UD goliath 2

The Merlin is an amazing piece of equipment

The only problem Ive had so far is flavor overload it has more flavor than any other tank I own with the same build in both

I know Roxy, I was around ECF at the time it all went a bit crazy and it was the main reason why I joined VU so I could follow the progress of my now favourite tank, the Boreas :)
And so it's nice to see there is still a civilized vaping forum around :)

It as Roxy has already said, it those stupid FDA rules, and this is what Augvape have posted on their facebook page.

Gregory Conley, president of the American Vaping Association trade group, says he is cautiously optimistic that Congress or the court system will push the FDA’s predicate date back from 2007, the cause of the potential industrywide calamity.

Even if it get passed,I don't think we can stay in this business.The development team cost too much.And we won't be able to release new product.Big company will get through this though.

It seems that they have refused to listen to the common sense of millions of vapers, plus various scientists and health professionals, and have instead decided to line their pockets with the corrupt money from the Tobacco & Pharmaceutical companies.

It reminds me of a quote from Bertrand Russell, who said

“Our great democracies still tend to think that a stupid man is more likely to be honest than a clever man, and our politicians take advantage of this prejudice by pretending to be even more stupid than nature made them.”

Well spent 5 days with 26x2/36 K1 and it was stellar. Put some 28x2/36 this time and working great again. Unfortunately I dropped my glass when washing it up and it shattered, down to just the replacement with no back up now. Any word when glass will be available?

It probably is available, but vendors haven't bought it. Have you emailed Subtank Supply? He may have some, but hasn't put it on the site. Let me know what he says.

Back to the Merlin, we're getting along OK with regular horizontal coil, vaping fine, no leaks. I was in my "wonder if that's possible" mood late last night and since the Merlin didn't like my vertical coil, I put one in the bachelor nano....and it works beautifully! I will try another vertical in the Merlin and this time will use rayon to wick it with. To be continued....
