I'm a PADI divemaster since 1996 and nitrox and trimix certified..... Did a lot of underwater welding in my military years.....
Also an avid deep wreck and cave diver...... haven't done a dive since moving to Arizona.......

I thought so too. Had to jump on it for the price. I'll probably dye it like the last. Maybe a quick dip since it's not alumide. Not sure how that'll work though.
Remember the grey wave panels I had for my old RPG BB that I dyed purple? They were made of the same material. It takes color better than alumide, believe it or not.

Blue would look really nice with that wood button, IMO. It'll come out darker than alumide would so keep that in mind.

Very Cool !!! I got certified a few years ago and bought a bunch of dive equipment. I really didn't have enough time to devote to the sport and ended up selling most of my stuff. I metal detect in the rivers around here but mostly just snorkel. It's a fun hobby. I never really did any deep water diving but always wanted to dive in Mexico when my wife and I went on cruises. Still haven't done that but at least I have the certification if I want to.
Too bad you don't have any samples. Qtip to a small bit of the inside, to decide, maybe? I kinda like that raw look to it, but I also chose the ultem cap on the other set up, lol. Seems I was also in the minority on that one. Good to know that whatever color you choose, it'll hold well, and quickly.
I was actually thinking why make it easy on myself. I'd dye two colors. Since it has a split. Do each side different.
