I'm spray painting a SS DT. Thoughts/ideas? I figure at worst if it turns out awful, I should be able to take it right back off with alcohol.

Got all of this in a trade with gadget! Came coiled and wicked. I just added juice which was so nice. I'm dead tired so I probably wouldn't have touched it otherwise. Ready for warmer weather so I can open windows and blow clouds!

This mod is awesome so far. So comfortable and dual battery. I can squonk without changing my grip. Can't think of any other squonker I can say that for.

The problem is he's never wrong. 100+ watts dripped on his super duper super authentics that Matt haggerman pulled out of his ass for the super duper best person in the world. It's gotta be hard to be the best at everything.
The 100+ watts thing is just a personal preference so, for starters, I never claimed that people who choose to vape at 8.5 watts, or whatever the wattage they might prefer, are doing it wrong. Secondly, when someone in a different thread acts condescendingly by jumping to all sorts of ridiculous conclusions about the price difference between a clone and its authentic counterpart and how that relates to the actual value, my typical response will always be that I'm the better person because I only charge $1 to carry the clone to the dumpster. The normal price to carry a clone to the dumpster being $5 so I'm a very generous guy. Thirdly, if you're going to defend insolent plagiarism, the least you could do is to correctly spell the name of the artist you think deserves to be insolently plagiarized. Mathew Hagermann isn't the kind of guy who easily pulls stuff out of his ass, but you wouldn't know that of course. That's simply because you're waa-aaaa-aaaaaaay too busy being such a fuckass all the time. Who gives a flying fuck about your opinion on Mat's ass anyway. You being a moderator and all, shouldn't you be moderating your own ass instead? Respectfully, I thank you beforehand for your wisdom of making that choice. Clearly, this isn't about who is the best person in the world. Rather, this is about you being desperately in need of a psychiatrist. (A whole team of psychiatrists would likely be better, or best.) Finally, grats on picking a fight over the internet. I much enjoyed the entertainment. Keep up the magnificent work. You did absolutely great. Have a nice day.

Thoughts…
Automotive metallics in spray cans. Base coat + color. Deep shiny finish.
Appliance epoxy spray cans = solid colors.
Can change ss color w/ heat - torch. Maybe a hand held canister type for something like mod. That would be cool.
Hard to get paint to stick to ss. It will look good but be kinda fragile.

I found that out. Didn't stick at all  Strip off, start over  Didn't think about automotive paint in a can, I have used that on car scratches and it worked well. Someone at work suggested powder coat paint for model cars? Said you just dip and put in the oven? I know nothing about that, but will look into it as well. It's not pressing by any means, so I will check out some options. Thanks.

It's some AVS spooled wire, fused claptons 2x26g/36g wrapped 2.5 mm. I usually go 3 or 3.5 mm but thought I'd go a little lower this time.

Honestly, if you vape SS316L, AVS premade spools are a real time saver imo.
Hmm... I've not used SS316L in a mech. I usually use ni80.
Does stainless ramp up faster?

Unfortunately, I've never really used Ni80 haha, so I'm not the one to ask. I can't complain about ramp up/flavor from SS though.
Ni80 ramps up quicker and because it doesn't rise in resistance with heat (not much anyway) it maintains wattage throughout the hit. That doesn't necessarily make it better, but just things to consider.

Some people probably prefer the way the wattage falls off a bit as SS wire heats up. Also, each metal tastes different. More so with some individuals than others. Snappy ramp up and more power doesn't do any good if you can't stand the taste.

Ni80 doesn't just ramp up quicker, it also cools down quicker as well. Also, some people are allergic to nickel so, understandably I would presume, they avoid Ni80 no matter which metal tastes better to them. Personally, I, find that the metallic undertaste of Ni80 can easily be eliminated by properly dry firing the coil build a few times before the first use, albeit this is assuming the quality of the wire in question isn't the actual real culprit, and that the airflow adjustment and the coil positioning, the wicking, etc., are all perfectly fine also........

With SS 316L, dry firing needs to be done much more gently and carefully in comparison to Ni80. To remove the gunking, you certainly can't dry burn an SS 316L coil build the same way you can a Ni80 coil build. Add in the fact Ni80 complex coil builds tend to be many times (usually at least 10 times according to me) more durable than SS 316L complex coil builds, and the practicality of SS 316L plummets. Not a problem if your preferred complex coil builds aren't too time consuming for you to make and/or if you have a steady supply that you can rely on. (Some people only care about the impressive rainbow colors that can be had from using SS 316L, and, some even go as far as to do this only to gain higher status on social media like instagram, e-peen, and/or are focussing primarily on marketing purpo$e$ thereof.)

Complex coil types and the various many characteristics such as the choice of metal type(s), coil dimensions, wire thicknesses, etc., can and do make a big difference as for how it actually vapes, and not just in the so-called "clouds bro, clouds!" department. In fact the flavor can also be profoundly affected by these factors, many people wholeheartedly agree, both here and elsewhere that is, but IME it stretches even much farther than that. To elaborate on this particular subject, I'll start by saying the vape experience as a whole is what I'm after, and, no, I'm not referring to the visible side of how big the clouds look like. In addition to flavor, it's how the vape FEELS, and how THAT changes my perception of flavor as a direct result from something called cross-modal perception, which, BTW, occurs naturally in all normal humans.

Finally, the speed at which heat is transferred from the core wires to the wrap wire also plays a part. SS 316L has a faster heat transfer rate, i.e., a greater thermal conductivity, than Ni80 so, an SS 316L wrap wire draws heat away from the cores faster than a Ni80 wrap wire does. Therefore, the SS 316L wrap wire slows down the rampup of the cores. However, despite it draws heat away from the cores faster, the SS 316L wrap wire doesn't rise in temperature faster. This can be explained from the fact the volumetric heat capacity of SS 316L is greater, albeit not a huge difference. Another thing many tend to forget is that the juice touches the metal only at the metal's surface. The fact the SS 316L wrap wire draws heat away from the cores faster also means it carries heat away from its own surface faster─the wrap wire's surface being the only location where the wrap wire is receiving heat from the cores. Therefore, the SS 316L wrap wire slows down the heating of the juice touching the SS 316L wrap wire. And, this is also in addition to it slowing down the rampup of the cores, which, in turn, causes the faster rate at which the SS 316L wrap wire can receive heat to be rather limited.

Aegis Squonk with the Pulse X RDA...still pushin' that DIY Banana Haze! This RDA is blowing my mind! One of the best BF RDAs I have used, with the top squonk over the coil and the bottom drain, it's almost impossible for me to flood! I'm a chain vaper at times and sometimes that requires juice directly on the coils without the worry of flooding through the airflow, and this RDA offers that!!!

BTW... Does anyone know where I could find a replacement o-ring for the squonk assembly that slides into the 510 from the side?

I like the Unicorn. I might have to get one to add to my collection!

It's a slick little combo. The rda is top notch. The tube is nicely made, smooth threads, smooth switch.
Good weight. The white brass is sharp looking.
I do think finding one would be a challenge. Ive only seen the white brass kits in stock and for sale on one overseas site and they want almost $120 for it.
Arkansas E Liquid has been out of stock on most unicorn mods for a very long time.

That's a funny-looking bagel. Y'all have gone flop-bot up there.

Stay Safe, O. Lots of problems happening your way, it appears. Thinking about you, Steve, and Rhianne a lot these days.
