@bx10r Gave me the best tip. Use a oven mitt! Also, and I don't know if this is best, so I may need a slap also. But for the insulator, I put just a dot of a glue stick on each end. ( A very tiny dot of it ) Seems to work fine.

I wear a jersey glove and use a hair dryer. That way I can hold the insulator in place until the wrap shrinks around the top which I hit first. Even then my hands get hot lol.

Thanks it's nice having 8 color options, between both kits, and more if mixing caps and barrels. I'm lucky my local shop a mile from my house has hobbyists running it so there's all sorts of goodies in stock your run off the mill shop usually doesn't have. Overlord tubes, SQ Topsides, Kali kits, etc.... And since I'm tight with them I always get a text when something they know I like comes in and get first dibs or a hold till payday

Have you rewrapped a battery? It's actually really easy, but I do understand how it can seem intimidating.

I use a hairdryer and it literally takes about 30 seconds. If you hold the insulator in place with your index finger until the top starts to fold then it doesn't blow out.

I bought insulator stickers. Got tired of chasing down insulators that got blown across the room by the dryer.

Have you looked at the Dead Rabbit V2? It looks very similar to the Drop Dead to me. Just doesn't have that awesome splatter paint. Matte black might be more practical for me anyway.

I vape single coil 90% of the time, but throw a dual coil atty on once in a while. My buddy who owns a shop in Toronto gave me a great deal on An RDA for vaping, seriously man this thing is unbelievable and I don't get excited for dual coil rda's. I never thought I'd like a dual better than my OG Goon. If you get a chance to pick one up DO IT.

I have two of those. If I'm not mistaken, one of them was my very first squonker. Liked it enough to buy another, still use them quite a lot. Work really well with small chambered single-coil RDAs.

I did not care for the Tobhino RDA that came with the Wismec BF kit, though. When it came time to buy the second mod, I did not get a kit.

Simple test aliens I use on all rdas I get... .14 , .137 actually but I digress, this is the factory deck.

This is the poopy voltage with a fresh 30T

This is the silver deck they had also for $6

This is the better but still poopy voltage.

Wonder if the original CSMNT would have tested that well? Layercake? I only have CSMNT clones, have no idea how they compare, but they are some of my favorites. Have an authentic Layercake that I got for next to nothing a few weeks ago. It's good, but I don't like it nearly as well as the CSMNT clones.

Have two C2MNT clones on the way, should be here Friday. FT did not list the manufacturer of these clones, so don't really know what to expect. I already know that quality of clones can go from the (nearly) sublime to the ridiculous.

The price on the C2 isn't bad - less than I would have expected, actually, and it's already squonkable, unlike the original CS. It's a silly thing to consider, I guess, but I like the etching on the CS so much better. Just not all that into the skulls thing, personally. It's somewhat less of a consideration since the artwork on the cap is not very bold and obvious.

ETA: The price just got quite a bit better. Districtf5ve.com has 25% off everything until Christmas Day with code 1225. Takes the price of the C2MNT down to about $34 and some change, plus shipping.

I believe that would be me, but to be fair, I made no claims about voltage drop. Only that it was very inexpensive and worth trying

I know what you're gonna say to this, but it does vape great.

BTW, what method are you using to test voltage drop on an atomizer with a multimeter?

I use my Goon V1+ Overlord Mech as the baseline, which with my test Aliens read 3.79v ... I install those Aliens, preheat them with my regulated, transfer it to the Overlord, touch the leads to the posts and fire it 3 times... Acceptable voltage for me is anything above 3.7v anything below and its truly in my opinion shit for mech use.

Is it bullet proof science... nope... but its the best I can do... Fresh 30T's, same mech (I clean it before doing a test), same exact coils... only outlier is the RDA

I might see how it vapes on the Double Barrel V3... but I have the US1 V2 RDA on there, and that is a really good RDA... not the most pleasing to look at... but far from the worst... which the US1 was awful also before I broke it down and filed it... now its singing at 3.72v...

I broke the RedemptShit down and did my thing... didn't improve at all... so its a regulated mod RDA for sure

US1 V2 RDA - 3.72

C2MNT - forget think it was 3.76v or 3.74v

Goon V1- 3.79v (control)

The worst is by far the RedemptShit RDA I got in today 3.43v and 3.54v after I filed and polished the contacts...but imagine that 3.43v... 30a build with no drop is 3.89v on 30Ts (Extrapolated from Moochs graph)

But to answer directly...2 VC-X1 and Goon V1... I didn’t file or polish the contacts on those, caveat being used at a low build.

Now voltage from squonks when I was a squonk head...man so many high end rdas were shit also...but I wasn’t building low testing them...but my control RDA for squonk laughingly is a Clone (Le Concorde)

There were a few of us in Bonkers thread who voltage tested mech squonks also (hate to say it... the Armageddon was a dud) and the pico squeeze mosfet outdid many high end mech squonks in 18650... solid silver contact and silver plated 510s although nice for cleaning purposes... was rather insignificant in voltage due to how the 510 wasn’t as solidly built and added additional connections for voltage loss.

Me doing my testing as I do isn’t new...I just post more about it now than I did when I was new here and mainly doing it for squonk related stuff.

At least these RDAs I’ve been buying are under $60... most of my authentic RSAs were $140+ each

What didn't you like about the drip tip and how was the one you made different? I'm asking these questions because I'm genuinely curious. I can get into moods for different drip tips. The one on the OG Goon is tall and straight while the one on the Goon 25 is super short and stubby. Perfect for me would be between the two.

its just a hybrid blue color and not an 810... but just a smidge larger... damn companies who make proprietary drip tip holes (Looking at you AllianceTech and Vaperz Cloud)
