Thea are easy to make and i like the flavour from braided coils. Here are some better pics of the coils, i sell them to different shops in my country.@labratzpy thats a new style to me. If I had hair to braid I might understand how ya did that lol. Looks really interesting.

I use almost everytime a Noisy Cricket 2, but with the mod from a friend we use the coils at minimum 90 watt.
What’s you preferred wire gauge size for braiding lab? Do you use different gauges for different braid types as well?
Normaly i use ni80 30awg, but for 7 loops i use 32 or 34 awg.
Love the braids myself, just wondering what’s the best braid type to start with, and where do new builders go from there to progress through the different types?
Also are some braids more suited to certain wattage ranges?
Play with the tcr numbers. A pita but on some mods it works. You might consider downloading arctic fox firmware, bit of a learning curve but well loved by tc users. So I finally got my hands on some SS316L wire, the guy at the vape shop suggested 24ga, so I got it, built a 12 wrap coil dual post, pushed into temp mode, all going well, some good vape then all of a sudden it kicks into protect mode, after fiddling a little more, it starts kicking back to power mode.
So a little frustrated, I get onto google and search a little, I find that it's something to do with the Wismec model, now I can't vape.
I find the TCR mode, hmm taste isn't the same, what should I do now, maybe try rebuilding or what, any tips.

That's what I do with my dnas that don't have the color upgrade. Do love replay and bypassing tc entirely on the dnac mods. You can always ditch TC and use it in power mode and then just enjoy your day and your coils.

I've found TCR for SS works great between 88 and 92. Think I have mine on 92 though for my Therion and TopsideWhat was the resistance of the coil?
TCR what number have you got it on?

I tried TC first then I was playing around with TCR, Wismec has their range at 80 - 200, tried 80, 140, 200 and all not giving me that hit that I want. What was the resistance of the coil?

Will look into this. That's why so many use arctic fox.

Please expand on that for the new builders. What atty, af, space or contact, etc.I have some SS316L store bought fused claptons I run 55W 450F TC, they ohm at 0.38
I have some SS304 clapton I get to ohm at 0.23 I run at 38W 400F TCR .00105

Thanks. Sometimes I feel like I'm in a constant state of experimenting. lolI'm in the experimental stage, mostly I like close spaced coils, but i'm still experimenting. To run in TC modes I use Geekvape Legend, Smoant Battlestar, or any of my Joyetech Regulated MODs, I run with the AF mostly closed. When I run them in VW mode on my unregulated Bravo squonker, I run the AF wide open
I can't help with vertical builds. I haven't done one since I tried on a Origen almost 4 years ago. I seem to remember sentencing the designer to hell forever building that thing.Does anyone have any vertical coil builds? I was going through some stuff today I havent used in a while and found a few RDA's that take vertical builds.
Just got in the VLS, used to use vertical coils quite a bit. Been a while for me as well. Not sure why I stopped, always enjoyed the vape.Does anyone have any vertical coil builds? I was going through some stuff today I havent used in a while and found a few RDA's that take vertical builds.
I have done some vertical building of sorts to rebuild factory coils. I started doing it in a UWELL Crown V1. More recently I have used the same technique to rebuild Joyetech ProCore C1 coils.Does anyone have any vertical coil builds? I was going through some stuff today I havent used in a while and found a few RDA's that take vertical builds.
I wasnt aware there were RDAs built specifically for vertical builds. I havent got any attys geared for them, but I am kinda experimenting with them for postless builds. Post builds are a pain in the ass, but possible without the slouching/sagging that I see in traditional builds.Does anyone have any vertical coil builds? Not understanding what you mean by slouchy/sagging.I wasnt aware there were RDAs built specifically for vertical builds. View attachment 124567 This is my definition of slouchy/saggy coil. I had a prototype made to have even legs, eliminating where one leg is longer than the other. Still a work in progress.
I forget what RDA it was (damn PD), but one has a removable deck floor that makes an opening to cut the cotton for the vertical build.RDAs built specifically for vertical builds
VLS maybe?I forget what RDA it was (damn PD), but one has a removable deck floor that makes an opening to cut the cotton for the vertical build.
Just recently bought the VLS but haven’t put a build in it yet. Been thinking about picking one up since I read KP's review.
