Wouldn't put it past them to use a fictional account leaked from a salacious book written by the pitbull shyster that wrote the salacious Mueller report & probably most of the salacious Steele Dossier to try to proceed in prosecuting a POTUS.

On June 11th, the US Department of Defense’s Joint Chiefs of Staff published a new edition of the Doctrine on the Use of Nuclear Weapons and deleted it shortly thereafter.

After it was deleted, a notice stated that the Joint Publication 3-73 was available at the Joint Electronic Library+, which is a restricted access website. The Federation of American Scientists managed to keep a publicly available copy and here it is.

They'd be dead-right - if we were over their airspace.

Military GPS is something like 10-100x more accurate than civilian gps. Otoh, if the navy used Rand-McNally gps, I suspect Iran would be right, (I'm happy if mine gets me into the right state).

And, yes: the hw could have glitched. I can envision Trump asking his Admirals, and getting a begruded "well, we lost the GPS signal" mutter - in such a case Trump would be dead to rights.
