Thing is, they purposely ran the clock down on issuing this decision in the last remaining days of the SCOTUS session so it would be near impossible for them to comply in time to perform the Census with the question intact. That underhanded bullshit is Roberts, in no uncertain terms. Granted, Barr will be arguing the case now, where he was not in place when the SCOTUS case was heard by the Court, so Trump admin may still manage to comply.

It depends on what one would classify as a conservative.
as I stated in a post earlier I am what I would consider and what most people would consider a fiscal conservative. I also have somewhat conservative values like family unit. A family should never under any circumstances be separated or broken down by the state or federal government.
then on the other side of that same coin I also believe in freedom in liberty and choice.

Current Republicans are NOT Fiscally Conservative, you are correct. And I do agree the current "conservatives" are no longer "conservative" in policy or in nature. They're more progressive than they used to be.
A family unit is just that, both participants, with (or without children) working cohesively to provide a stable future for themselves and those under their roof.
