To an extent, I agree, but we also have to look at some of the notorious things that happen during the trip across the border. Not all the children are being brought by their immediate family.

So if they are detained together, and split up, then maybe that happened for a reason.

Well, I mean we COULD force DNA testings - but at what cost? More expensive to the taxpayer, sure, but peace of mind is something that we should take into consideration.

Now, if they had documents showing that they are a "family unit" IE Marriage records, birth certificates, etc... then that would make their jobs a lot easier, am I correct in asking for that stuff?

And see that is the first step in becoming a legal US citizen.

But all in all, if we just look at it from safety sake, we can't always believe that everything that these people are trying to tell us is factual. So we have to air on the side of caution. I don't want families being split up anymore than the next person. but I also don't want to know that we let a group of people slip through the cracks with kids that didn't belong to them, just to find out later that those same children are being abused and traded off the sex slaves or being used to run drugs between countries. Or maybe even being used as a bargaining chip.

I don't want to know that kind of stuff I don't want to see that kind of stuff I don't even want to hear about that kind of stuff as a parent myself if there were to be any harm done to my child I would lose my s***.

Shouldn't be a cost to taxpayers, should be a billable cost to the illegal alien, along with food, all medical, and anything else including lodging, welfare, etc that must be paid back in full before citizenship applications are granted.

Personally, I think their BS reply is just that - prevarication-BS. If a nation, let alone a state, let alone a city, or a county - can't tell who the hell is an illegal, who is a property-owner, who lives there, who pays taxes, who is Just Passing Thru/tourist/commute, etc - they have serious issues.

This makes me wonder if we need a Federal ID - yes, we used to use a SSN for that and they fucked that ALL UP. I'll give yah my state DL and SSN for a new card that belongs only to the feds, and applies to these other cases.

NM, I stopped voting years ago - now, I've no longer interest in it.

At this point, why the hell would I trust magic-documents from illegals? These ain't tourists that have been robbed - and said tourists would seek their ambassador/consul.

They broke the law to infiltrate, and we already separate parents from children when they are citizens and guilty or charged with crimes. Apparently, all these illegals don't even pay BAIL to walk around and disappear - and you can't collect on them anyway.
